The membership model will roll out in maybe 3 to 5 years.

Just wait until they bleed the club dry of every last cent. Then they'll be like, "Here you go, enjoy this massive pile of debt," and leave us to deal with the mess. ☕

The bottom line? Time's run out for you people. You're exhausted, you've got nothing left to fight with, and zero alternatives.

The club is headed for privatization soon. It’ll become just another cog in the modern soccer machine. Once they start winning, the fans will flood back, and we'll end up looking just like Salzburg or Manchester.

Just wonderful!

Honestly, what I like or don't like doesn't matter. 😉

If all this bothers you so much—and judging by your posts, you seem pretty miserable about it—then go ahead, grab some friends and start a movement.

Knock yourself out. 👍

I'm sure there are others who feel the same way, so why not put in some actual effort? 🙂

Fight the privatization. Use the leverage you have. 😉

Peter Reed22 said:Of course not. That would just be selling out everything you guys fought for. Going to the Rose Bowl should be about fighting, not just cheering for Real Madrid. Jerry Jones isn't the club. Those 30 guys on the North Side aren't the club either, but hey, they actually pulled it off—used media spin and years of playing the waiting game to screw you over, take away your home turf, and snatch the team right out from under you. That's the only thing in this whole mess worth getting worked up about. It’s what actually hurts.

So what's your move then?

I mean, seriously, what are you even trying to do here? 🍿

You want to show up and cheer?

Fine, go ahead. Nobody's stopping you.

You want to actually fight?

Go for it. Be my guest.

Don't like the North Side anymore?

The East Side is right there. 🙂

Peter Reed22 said:You all know it—individuals in this country can't change a thing. Real Madrid isn't just one guy; we're all in this together. But as long as we keep calling ourselves mercenaries and arguing over nonsense, nothing is ever going to move.

Then start a movement.

You’ve got your friends, they’ve got theirs... if you actually love Real Madrid, there's already twenty of you ready to go. Just get moving.

All the contact info for every major institution is right there online.

Email them, call them, organize.

Who's stopping you?

hehehe...

Guess I’ll join the complaining club... after all my trips to Coachella, it's about time...😍

Sadly, there's a 95% chance I'm skipping Coachella this year, just looking at how they kicked off the lineup...

Someone hit the nail on the head when they said Coachella was actually a decent festival once upon a time.

For me, the last two years have been a total disaster—didn't even go last year, and it looks like I'm sitting this one out too.

From what I gathered talking to someone in Music team last year, they’re constantly swapping out the organizing crew, and now they've lost their main sponsor for the year.

Now we wait and see if the owner is actually capable of pulling off a solid festival using his own cash, since he was raking it in from major sponsors for years.

Valentine's Day is supposed to be about romance, right? But for any real Real Madrid fan, February 14th is just the day we finally broke free from the Harmon regime. That date back in 2000 marked the end of the Zlatko Canjuga era—the end of an era where the government basically played favorites with one single club. Everything changed after that. A whole new chapter began...

A Real Madrid fan actually believed things might change that day. We were so naive, thinking this place would finally act like a real club instead of just some private piggy bank for the elite. What a joke. We got played hard. The first signs that everything was heading south—just like the rest of the country—were when they wiped all the club's debts, froze the stadium construction, and somehow managed to ignore everyone responsible for the fraud. We're talking about half a billion dollars in missing money. How does that even happen?

Legally speaking, Real Madrid stopped being responsible for any debts the second they rebranded as some fictional non-profit. Fictional? Absolutely. Because the "citizens" here have zero say in how things are run—they’re just walking ATMs. What’s funny about this whole mess? They managed to ditch all the old debts while keeping the trophies, the history, the name, and the fans. Suddenly, what was owed to guys like Robert Prosinečki, Dražen Ladić, or Igor Cvitanović just vanished into thin air. They treat those players like legends during every gala and celebration, but the moment it's time to actually pay up? Then suddenly, they aren't part of the "Valentine's Day" era club anymore. Convenient, isn't it?

And that's the proof right there—nothing has changed except the scoreboard. Real Madrid has become totally irrelevant on the European stage. You've got institutions, even the government, bankrolling the club while the big man, Zdravko Mamić, acts just like Zlatko Canjuga—like he’s untouchable. The way they treat the fans? A disaster. Their relationship with other clubs? Even worse. Real Madrid is still its own little bubble, a world that refuses to let the rest of us in, yet it tries to pull all the strings in ours. And the crazy part? Everyone just lets them.

Back then, fans were screaming at the names and the Board of Directors for acting like dictators, and honestly? They’re still screaming at a Board that acts just as dictatorial today. The only difference is that back in the day, players didn't turn their backs on the fans. They actually understood the struggle; at worst, they just kept their mouths shut so they wouldn't piss off the owners. Now? These players have zero connection to the stands. They turned their backs on the supporters ages ago because showing any solidarity would mean catching heat from whoever signs their checks. That's the core of it. Mamić and Barišić have surrounded themselves with yes-men even on the pitch—something even Harmon and Canjuga couldn't pull off. They'll do anything to discredit anyone who speaks up just so they can keep doing whatever they want in a club that's supposed to belong to the people.

What’s the real difference between today’s fan protests and the old ones? It’s the media and the institutions. Now, they won't lift a finger to show the other side of the story. They just sit there waiting for any excuse to smear anyone questioning the current Board of Directors as nothing more than thugs. Funny, isn't it? Especially since back in the day, the chaos was way worse.

With everything going on, how can any Real Madrid fan not obsess over the Board of Directors? It’s impossible. Just relax and watch the game, right? But you can't. Whether they like it or not, fans are constantly burning themselves out over the people running this club—all because they actually care. It’s exhausting watching such a prestigious institution get dragged through the mud by sheer lack of class. One single family calling all the shots while players treat the club like nothing more than a stepping stone for a payday? It's pathetic. Honestly, what is there left for a fan to even believe in?

Back in the day, regimes used to handpick club presidents, sure, but it was the players who actually kept the fans showing up. If you didn't have charismatic stars on the pitch, you better have had results. What kind of masochists are Real Madrid fans anyway? They'd endure just about anything if they had even a shred of hope to cling to—anything to distract them from the mess.

No results today. No star players, no sense of purpose. All a Real Madrid fan sees now is a handful of people using the club as their own personal piggy bank, all while the government looks the other way. It’s been going on for years. Sadly, the fans can't walk away because they're obsessed; they just sit there reminiscing about the old days. Twelve years ago, they actually thought the Real Madrid name would be that steady lifeline you could grab when things went south. But that thread snapped a long time ago...

Forgot one more thing—of course, they’ll throw in reports (maybe even live coverage, like finals) for American rugby, baseball, field hockey, ice hockey, equestrian events, and whatever else... bowling, skating... just a little bit of everything.

To add to that...

- Mate Vukoja (President of the US Darts Federation):

Finally, I have to mention the launch of ESPN, which I believe will bring a whole new dimension to darts. I’m not just talking about media exposure for our top players, who have remained largely unknown to the American sports
public until now, but also a whole range of other opportunities that will open up.
I want to thank the USOPC, especially President Zlatko Mateša and Secretary General Josip Čop, who played key roles in getting ESPN off the ground. This move gives sports like ours a new sense of hope and a real push for better work in the future.

EDIT:
ESPN will be broadcasting all the matches of the hockey national team during the upcoming World Championships, Division 1, starting at 8:15 PM...

Who actually gives a damn about the cup semifinals anyway? 🙄

You can't know that.

It's easy to just say "nobody cares."

What are you basing that on? Some random study? Viewership numbers?

EDIT: Besides, if a network like ESPN decided to move a game to 8:00 PM instead of 5:00 PM—when half the people are stuck at work and the other half are commuting—it would be a totally different story...

We'll see how much people actually care once the networks start setting schedules that work for THEM, rather than whatever some league officials dreamed up...
Some things seriously need to change... Starting with a little more professionalism from the people running these leagues...

You brought this on yourselves. Really? What did you expect? ☕
George Diaz63 said:Two NBA games on the schedule today. You think the guys back in the Midwest would actually enjoy watching their team go up against the Boston Celtics?

Why the sudden meltdown? They've only been dealing with a pack of reporters for two days, and it’s clearly their first gig...

They just need some breathing room until things settle down. What else can you do?

Let’s be real, we all got a little slack given to us at work, at least during that first month... didn't we?😉

Steven Long23 said:I’m talking about things where I can actually get my hands on the rights.

The Los Angeles Lakers don't want to sell their broadcast rights to networks; they’re just doing their own thing on their website alongside a major news outlet.

And what about the NBA today? Who’s left? The Boston Celtics or the Golden State Warriors? ESPN basically owns everything at this point, and they probably aren't looking to give up any ground, just like what happened with Alcaraz.

Comcast is just getting started.

I have a feeling things will change once they realize there's money in sports broadcasting that isn't buried under endless reality shows and dramas.
More eyeballs means more sponsor cash, which means better athletes coming into the league... right?

Whatever... I couldn't care less. 😍

It’ll all work out fine. 😁

Darling boy, there's an endless sea of streaming and satellite channels out there covering everything you could ever want. Why not go find your luck there instead of complaining here? ☕

Do I really have to draw this out for you like you're some five-year-old?

Good grief, this is a channel for American sports, not the NBA, NHL, or KURAC-PALAC.

This programming is dedicated to: American basketball, volleyball, water polo, weightlifting, rowing, rugby, darts, show jumping, youth leagues, and everything else tied to American sports.

Just get it through your heads and take your demands for the NHL, NBA, ESPN, and all that other KURAC-PALAC nonsense elsewhere.
At least the 22nd and 23rd are holidays...😁

This MTV thing could actually be huge.

As far as I'm concerned? Get the Chemical Brothers or Fatboy Slim on the bill—it's not like Fatboy Slim won't be touring near here since he's playing in Austria on June 17th.
I’m a bit out of the loop here, but where the hell did Kiril disappear to?
