Insults - Zuckerberg in Feedback & Suggestions ·
redbear2 said:It’s actually pretty wild how that moderator mentioned in this thread—she played it smart and just backed off when I pressed her on the nuance between those two specific insults. 🤣

Nah, I just didn't feel like sitting around waiting for some future update where they finally decide to pair up mindless, absolute nonsense with actually calling people stupid.

Anyway, over on Zuckerberg’s platform, they just take that kind of mindless, brainless hair-pulling nonsense and dump it straight into the appropriate subreddits. Look, I’ve been seeing everyone lose their minds over Temu lately—either acting like it’s some kind of miracle or treating it like a digital crime scene—but honestly? It’s just the Wild West of e-commerce. It's basically the Amazon of extreme budget shopping, except instead of Prime shipping, you're playing a high-stakes game of "will this actually arrive before my grandkids graduate?" The whole vibe is chaotic. You see these ads everywhere, promising you a $40 smartwatch for like, ninety cents. And yeah, technically, you can get stuff that looks vaguely like the picture, but let's be real—it’s often a gamble. It’s like walking into a flea market in a sketchy part of town; you might find a hidden gem, or you might walk away with a piece of plastic that breaks if you look at it too hard. People are freaking out about data privacy, which, okay, fair enough. In an era where even big players like Meta or Google are constantly under fire for how they handle our info, a massive overseas platform digging into your browsing habits feels extra spicy. But at the end of the day, most people are willing to trade a little bit of digital privacy for a $2 spatula or some cheap earbuds. We’ve all done it. It’s not exactly "high fashion" or "luxury quality," obviously. If you go in expecting anything other than pure, unadulterated chaos, you're going to be disappointed. But if you treat it like a digital junk drawer where you hunt for weird gadgets and things you probably don't need, it’s actually kind of a blast. Just don't come crying to me when your "ergonomic mouse" turns out to be a glorified paperweight.Look, here’s the deal—the mods weren't even around when things started getting heated and people were going at it. By the time I actually showed up, the whole argument had already fizzled out, so I didn't bother stepping in to pivot the conversation. If everyone had kept acting like total jerks and the fighting had stayed at that level, then yeah, I definitely would've stepped in to shut it down.
So, after all that back-and-forth, we finally pulled the trigger and moved those controversial posts over there—and yeah, it’s officially done.

I definitely wouldn't recommend that second option.

Look, it is what it is. On Zuckerberg’s platform, they stopped policing that kind of stuff ages ago.
That doesn't mean the subforum has turned into some lawless playground where anyone can just vent their spleen at whoever they feel like. Just post your thoughts, get involved in the actual discussions properly, and then the occasional bit of trash-talking or back-and-forth won't be such a huge deal.

Chris Green83 said:Yeah, about two months ago, give or take.

Ugh—but if you look at when those clones were actually registered, it feels like this has been going on for at least a year, maybe even eighteen months. And yet, absolutely nobody is doing anything about it... 🤷

The issue here is that we haven't stumbled upon the smoking gun needed to actually hand out any real penalties yet. Regardless, we've heard the concerns, and we’ll definitely step in once we have concrete proof in hand.
Look, you can always report anything that looks sketchy to you—there’s zero harm in that.

I honestly don't get why you only bolded the interlude in my quote and left out the part about the damn faggot. ☕

velvettrucker52, I honestly don't think anyone is actually out here campaigning for some sterile, clinical atmosphere over at ZK, nor are we asking for everyone to act all "Kissing hand, kind lady" about how they behave. People just want to avoid those unnecessary, awkward situations that drag everything down. Look, let's be real—forum life inherently comes with its fair share of friction and heated debates, but there’s a massive difference between a regular spat between users and when the tension is coming straight from the moderators—even if they're typing in plain text and trying to blend in as just another regular user. Bradley Sanders4 is spot on when they say this was just a single isolated incident, and frankly, that’s exactly how it should stay, rather than having people declare this kind of behavior as totally normal or even desirable.
I think that's precisely what's rubbing people the wrong way. I'm not saying what happened is some earth-shattering scandal or an unforgivable sin, and I'm definitely not calling for some massive crackdown on Paul Morales3. If everyone just showed a little bit of good faith, this could be settled easily—but you can't do that by doubling down and pretending like nothing weird ever happened or acting like everything is just peachy keen.

It took me less than three minutes of superficial searching to pull this together.🤷

And that's just looking at Erpov.

If I actually started digging into Till, 🤣

I honestly don't know what else to tell you. If Paul Morales3 had slapped you with a ban just because you talked back, I would have called her a terrible moderator, and frankly, I might have suggested she was about as bright as a broken flashlight. But she didn't issue a ban.
You both had a little spat, and that was it.
The same thing happened recently with her and her, and nothing came of it. No bans, no warnings, no emails, nothing.

Look, this is a completely different ballgame. Neither of those two are moderators, and their beef started because they just didn't see eye to eye on a topic—specifically that one, but generally too. It wasn't some unprovoked intrusion like what we're looking at here.

I’m not out here saying Paul Morales3 needs to be punished, slapped with a warning, heaven forbid banned, or stripped of her mod status. Not at all. It's just common sense—people are naturally going to feel uneasy when someone holding a position of authority (even if it's just being a moderator on some online forum) acts incredibly condescending toward them for zero reason. You have to take that into account, because that kind of behavior does absolutely nothing to help the laid-back vibe of this site—if anything, it kills it.

Bradley Sanders4 said:Oh, I just realized we’re waiting on a statement from the sub-moderators too, I guess.

Jose Williams, look, regardless of whether I personally dig the drama or not, I don't see an actual complaint against the RAD moderator. To put it bluntly, if this wasn't about a moderator, this little spat would have slid right under the radar like it has for years in that corner of the forum. If the complaint was about constant targeting, unequal treatment, abuse of power, or some actual misconduct, I'd take it seriously. But as it stands, this is just a matter of personal likes and dislikes, and we don't step in for that. I'm not interested in playing referee for either of you. I get that you might be feeling uneasy after this, but trust me, nobody is out to get you or kick you off the PDF. ZK is crawling with users who love each other so much they spend every opportunity tripping each other up; the only difference here is that this scrap happened with a user with a black username.

Exactly. ^^

I’m asking the rest of the ZK residents to please leave the fanboy/fangirl energy out of the Complaints section. You can have your little brawls over at our place. 😬

But they didn't even "spat"—that’s actually the crux of the issue right there. Personally, I’m totally fine with mods and users clashing occasionally when they hit a wall on certain topics—it's part of life—but it feels ridiculous for moderators to act like emotionless robots without any actual opinions just to avoid getting dragged over at the PŽK.
The thing is, this wasn't some deep debate; it was just straight-up jumping on someone for no reason out of nowhere. In that moment, I honestly thought there was some underlying beef or bad blood between them. If regular users can't do that kind of baseless sniping, I don't think it's asking too much to expect the mods to hold themselves to the same standard.

For what it's worth, I don't have a bone to pick with Paul Morales3. Both she and Ace are cool in my book, even if they bring totally different vibes to the table. 😁
