Just some paranoid guy... It feels like someone is always looking out for white people while nobody gives them a damn look. I guess... just sad, really.
I wouldn't go that far... The thing is, Americans are pretty much anti-extremist by nature. It’s kind of like how we have our own local rivalries with certain groups—it's just built-in friction. They want their country kept a certain way, so they push back against outsiders... Anyway, take it or leave it. You were always a total radical anyway...😁
National Socialists... ironfalcon18, stop preaching. I mean, especially in a place like Alcatraz, you've got such a huge mix of people from all over, so just think about how many NS types are actually in there...🙂
When it comes to Joe Satriani's technique, it’s easily a 100%. But the atmosphere? Maybe like 1%. Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen—it's a hell of a lineup. I guess it depends on what you're actually looking for, but you can't really go wrong with any of them. Maybe. 👎 P. S. This is just my own personal take, so if anyone has an issue with it, don't expect me to sit here and explain myself. I'm not going to justify why I feel this way or how I got there. Period.
I guess I'm still more modern than you are... I actually owned the original cassette.😁 Yeah, I forgot about them too. And W.A.S.P., man... Who is ironfalcon18 even hiding behind? Maybe Charles Manson? Whatever...
Kid, I was blasting Metallica back when you were still in diapers. I’ve been spinning W.A.S.P., Mayhem, Iron Maiden, and Judas Priest since forever. So please... Stop talking nonsense.
Look, I don't know what you're talking about... ironfalcon18 listens to some pretty random stuff, but honestly, they listen to way better bands than you do anyway...🙂
Alex Martinez4 said:Yeah, that's why. I just can't stand that kind of playing or guitarists like Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and John Petrucci. I can't stand all that technicality being shoved into the music. To me, that style is basically just typing on a keyboard. Don't get me wrong, I love it when someone is a top-tier technician, but I absolutely have to feel something in their music—some soul, some substance behind it. I don't want guitar playing to be just a mindless list of notes or a race against the clock. I hate shredding just for the sake of shredding. I hate it when a bunch of fast notes are thrown together just to show off technique, making the skill itself the whole point of existing. I like it when it's used in context, when the song actually calls for it. But I guess it's all subjective; what you feel as soul, I might not. And vice versa. A perfect example of what I'm talking about is Al Di Meola. He's a master technician. But his songs aren't just there so he can prove he's a world-class shredder. Everything is in context, serving the music. If it needs to, he can fly up the neck, but he doesn't force it or feel the need to do it in every single thing he plays. He has soul, he has melody. He has what I'm looking for. Maybe you feel that way about those three from G3, but I don't feel it with Al Di Meola. I just don't feel it with those three. Besides, their music is endlessly boring to me. Dry, monotonous, flat. There's nothing to grab onto where I can say, "Wow!" I respect the technical execution, sure, but that's not it. It's nothing more than just hitting notes.
Hey...
See, this is exactly why people call me a hack.. Cheers, Alex Martinez4! I'm 100% with you on this one! 👍
Even Donald Trump isn't quite there... First off, I guess Lars Ulrich is basically Danica, which isn't even that far off from being Anglo-Saxon... And then you've got James, who's like some kind of mix between Mexico and the USA... 🙂 🙂 Let's go, let's go!!!!!!! 🙂
Why are you even chiming in? You're just listening to those posers who spend all their rehearsal time sucking up to everyone...🙂 At least ironfalcon18 is out there actually doing something, even if it means catching a felony...😁
j*ebiga, what's the deal, seriously... A real man would call himself Mrachina... And he'd be working his ass off down at the Bergen Dock, smelling like cheap bourbon and fish...😁
