Long live Burzum!👍 I guess MDB is just a mediocre band... If we're being honest, Anathema totally blows them out of the water... MDB gets pretty boring after two or three songs, maybe. Ashes You Leave is kind of a letdown; I went to a few of their shows and they weren't anything special... Unless you count the fact they opened for Mayhem...🙂
Ryan Ruiz said:I've been reading through some Heavy Metal lyrics lately and honestly, they're pretty terrible. It's all just mindless stuff about killing, violating souls, and whatever other nonsense. Even if I actually dig a song from the genre, I really don't care what the lyrics are about. I guess I'd rather just enjoy the sound, provided it's good.
Yeah, true... Maybe check out some lyrics from Darkthrone though...
Maria Morris5 said:Yeah... I don't get it either. It just doesn't sit right with me. Honestly, the most nonsensical stuff has to be those songs where it’s all like, "a dragon showed up and breathed fire all over the city, then a hero arrived and saved everyone, blah blah blah..." I mean, seriously... did someone read way too much Tolkien? Or there's that one track where the lyrics go "for the king / for the dwarves / for the mountains..." or whatever. Great. Let's just head straight to Mordor and save the world from Sauron, shall we? 🙂
So, how are you even listening to Noafex?! :2up: :2up: You’re clearly too young to get what Noafex is actually about. I guess since your parents buy you a new pair of Vans every single month, you think that makes you some kind of punk. You're just a total piece of trash anarchist. You can trash all the music you want, but leave Tolkien and Black metal alone! It’s basically just a religion at this point!
P.S. That stuff about heroes and dragons is just straight-up heavy power metal nonsense! :2up: :2up:
Scent of (the) Flying Shadows is in the eyes of vast Uranus because these eyes have watched the universe's horses just fade away
Oh, Father (the) Fog of Nebula your loyal kids managed to escape The Walls of Eternity The Elders Curse just like Snow of the Solstice of the Sun
and from what the Eyes of Uranus can see way out there in the shadow of the walls it all went down millennia ago So I guess whatever is past the gate is already stuck in the past
Oh, we're the Hordes of Nebula drifting through an endless sea of nothingness we're looking at some distant light a star way out there; hey, Mighty Sun Are you gonna die before we even get to you? Maybe you're just a Fatal Result of the Laws of Distance The Swords of Time are aimed right at our hearts even the grass here looks ruined as we deal with Eternal Misery
Naberg stood tall, right near the edge of Mannahem's estate. Back then, there wasn't any Sword Age or constant warfare—just the misery of the plague. No one visited their kin, nobody went to see the preacher, and if anyone headed into town, they did it on horseback with a lance in hand.
In the old days, they sang songs just for themselves and their ancestors. Nowadays, people only sing those songs meant to make tomorrow look a little brighter. Songs for the Next, but nothing for the Best. Betrayal and lies have finally found their home in the palaces of the giants.
A man walked calmly, feeling steady and proud among the houses. He moved through the crowds, stepping carefully among the common folk. Every single cold night, he’d visit hundreds of men. He was solitary, tall, and thin, wearing a hat upon his head.
Just a lonely man wandering over the tree roots on a freezing morning. He shook his head at how much humanity has lost. Because they all secured their spot under a tragic, unforgiving sky, wandering north and south, rotting away in the peace of Hell.
Darkness falls Night descends Ondskap The forest calls
Out here in the realm of the beast through a grim, Fenriz woods angels weep, angels fly away from my own abyss
I stand under a cold wind. Darkness follows the flight of angels I drink from the Moonlight, Pale Light and worship the sun of Satan. A cruel evil seeps in, filling body and soul A sky of the dead Torture and Hate
Darkness falls Night descends Ondskap The forest calls
Let me serve the twenty-seven eternally fallen forever In the Cold Darkness, burning with the sly black ones Worthily proclaimed as the Skald of the Unholy Trinity WHEN HELL CALLS ONCE, THERE IS NO WAY BACK
Darkness falls Night descends Ondskap The forest calls
A path winds across the mountain peaks Into the embrace of the deep woods Where homesteads met a brutal fate By the funeral pyre, mourned by many a raven
Morbid Angel marched across the American soil From port to port, across the land With heavy, dragging steps they moved Into the embrace of the deep woods
Death in black made the soul grow cold Making skin weak under a morning sky
A path winds across the mountains Into the embrace of the deep woods A slow wandering leads me Into the dark forest kingdom
To find a farm, aged and abandoned Out of a lonely, black, and endless night...
Listen to the Mayhem Drifting through the cold winds While the sky goes pitch black under heavy clouds of melancholy tearing through the beams of a dying, empty sun while that distant fog creeps closer
A coven of lost joy Listen to the pride of Slayer A triumphant view against the Northern Sky
Where the days stay dim and night feels just the same The moonlight drank the blood of a thousand pagans
It took a whole ten centuries before the king sitting on his northern throne heard the stories of the crucified one
A coven of renewed joy; a thousand years have gone by since then— years defined by lost pride and lust
Souls of blasphemy, listen to the Mayhem
We are a blaze in the Northern Sky The next thousand years belong to us
