The first was fine, the second was barely watchable. The rest aren't even worth mentioning.
If you’re looking for realism, just step outside. You won't find anything more authentic than that. 😁
People flock to those unrealistic fantasy nonsense flicks because they can't experience that stuff in real life—that's where the entertainment is. Reality is just too dull for them. 😁
Is it the motherboard battery? My PC hasn't even acknowledged its existence for a while now. Every single time there's a power outage or something similar, I have to manually reset the date in Windows. I'm not really sure why. At first, I assumed the battery had just died, so I popped in a new one, but the issue persists. It’s been like this for years. Everything is running fine for the moment. We'll see...
Just turned on my PC and it hung during boot. Here’s a photo. It just sits there. I had to restart a few times before Windows finally loaded. The keyboard wasn't responding at all. The only thing I noticed was a change in the MHz reading. Usually, it's 450, but here it shows 442, and the numbers in parentheses look different than usual. When it boots successfully, that number stays at 447.
Everything looks fine once I'm actually in Windows. But when I check the CPU stats in Speccy, that multiplier keeps jumping around. Temperatures seem okay. My GPU is running a bit warmer than the rest, but nothing out of the ordinary. Windows isn't flagging any errors.
I haven't run into anything like this with this rig before. Not sure what else to add. Even though this setup is getting older, surely the processor isn't about to die on me, right? 🙂
edit: Just shut it down and restarted; it booted into Windows without any issues this time.
I’m running into an issue. Whenever I watch HD movies on my PC hooked up to a plasma TV via HDMI, it feels like the frame rate just tanks out of nowhere. It’s a constant headache and I can't figure out why it keeps happening.
It isn't happening every single time, but when it does, it's incredibly annoying. I’ve Googled everything and tried every fix under the sun, but I'm stumped. It doesn't seem to be the CPU or the GPU drivers, since everything runs perfectly fine at other times.
It isn't the media player either—I've swapped through several different ones. It can't be the HDMI cable, because I bought one off Amazon rated for 4K. Maybe some software settings on the TV? I'm honestly at a loss. You search online and just get a million conflicting answers.
I figured maybe some background process was spiking the CPU usage, so I started shutting down everything that wasn't absolutely necessary.
A lot of people deal with this exact same thing even though they have much beefier rigs than mine, and when I ran that DPCLAT tool, it didn't flag any issues.
The weird part is that it doesn't happen when I'm watching YouTube or streaming services; it only happens with movie files stored on an external hard drive playing through the TV. It works fine on my computer monitor, too. Even the USB ports aren't the culprit, as I've tested them all. The hard drive is about a year old, but it's been doing this since day one, so that shouldn't be the issue.
Device Manager says all my drivers are up to date.
Anyway, sorry for the rambling; I just wrote this down as the thoughts came to me.
Why do certain services kick in right after I boot up Windows if their startup type is set to manual? Looking at the list in automatic/manual options, which ones am I actually safe to disable? Check out the screenshot in this link.

I honestly don't get why they always bring in that extra player, only for almost every attack to die out from nine yards away. Could we not just do this with two players up front instead?
When we face Spain in the semifinals, we lose. When we don't play them, we win. When we take on Norway in the semifinals, we lose; when we aren't playing them, we win.
