Ashley James49 said:Ugh, I am definitely not a fan of those nine months. Honestly, I don't get how some women actually enjoy being pregnant.🤷

First there's the nausea, then the aches and pains, and everyone constantly touching your stomach! You gain a ton of weight, you can barely bend over, you're constantly snapping at your partner, and you're just an emotional wreck—one minute crying, the next laughing. Your chest gets bigger (which, okay, I'm not complaining about😍), but afterwards they just look like two little tea bags👎 and don't even get me started on the belly😲.....

And there's still more to it too....

...but once you see that tiny little thing, everything else just fades away😍....so you end up doing it three times anyway, no matter how much you say you hate it.😍

Oh, please. We are definitely not on the same page. My pregnancy was wonderful. No morning sickness for me, and everything else was perfect.😍😍
I felt amazing. I was happy, and I actually loved my bump..
Nobody gave me any special treatment from my family; I kept up with my usual routine (just at a slower pace, obviously).
I was a genuinely happy expectant mother.😍
In fact, I'd do it all again tomorrow—as long as I don't have to go through the actual labor.😁

Honestly, the constant questions lately are driving me insane. "When is the baby due?" How should I know? Go consult a psychic or something like Milton.
Yesterday was supposed to be the big day, yet everyone treats me like some tragic figure because I haven't given birth yet. They’re all like, "Oh, you poor thing, how are you going to manage?" 🙄
Then comes the commentary about the heatwave—"Oh, you poor soul, being out in this weather..."
Meanwhile, I’m just living my best life, totally loving every second of it. 😁🤣
Or they ask, "Why are you going to the movies? What if something happens?" Like, hello?? If something happens, I'll just walk out. ☕

Look, I'm not out here complaining to anyone. The only person I talk to is my partner, and even then, I'm just saying I can't wait for the little one to arrive because we're right on schedule and I'm eager to meet my little nugget.
If I had to walk like this for another two months, I'd be fine. It really isn't that hard. I have zero issues—aside from some groin pain right now—and I see absolutely no reason for anyone to pity me.
Nicholas Doyle91 said:So, I had this little win today—I actually got caught by a transit officer on the subway, but instead of slapping me with a ticket, she just let it slide! She told me to just take the money and put it toward my baby, and then, of course, she ended up giving me the whole life story about her family 😁

When did we stop being friends? I had an inspection too, and as I went to grab my pass, she just looked at me and said, "You're good" 🙂.
swiftmason4 said:So, shortly after that, this other woman actually turns to me and asks how far along I am—I was totally floored! I had to double-check if I even heard her right. Like, she seriously asked me how "far along" I was!! 😲😲😲😲😲😲😲
I don’t even talk to my cats like that when they’re expecting 🤷

God, someone asked me the exact same thing. I didn't catch the nuance of the question at first and just blurted out, "I've gained 20 pounds so far!"

Now I finally get why she made that face!! 😂

What an absolutely appalling question, honestly.
I haven't even had my first kid yet, and some lady already cornered me asking—so, when are you having the second one? Like, excuse me?? 🙂

What part of me looks like a breeding cow to her? Honestly, how does someone even let a question like that slip out?

So, what does this actually mean? How does one even end up in this mess?

My nerves were absolutely shot today at the OB-GYN clinic. A bunch of husbands and partners just sitting there comfortably while a crowd of pregnant women are forced to stand...
Between getting jerked around at the clinic today because they don't have a nurse while the doctor is on vacation—fine, whatever—it was the people on the light rail that was the actual disaster.
By 8:00 AM, the stench was already unbearable.
I’m on my phone, just mentioning how hot it is and how much everyone stinks.
Once I hung up, I grabbed some water and sprayed a little thermal mist on my hands and neck to cool down—suddenly this woman next to me starts screaming, acting like I'm some pregnant lady who thinks she can perfume the entire train and force everyone to breathe it in!! 😂
I asked her, "Well, can you actually smell what I just sprayed?" Of course she can.
I told her—how lovely, you must have superpowers if you can sniff out plain water!
Maybe try taking a shower this morning instead. She just turned her nose up at me. 😂
Benjamin Roberts5 said:It really just shows how some people have zero shame and absolutely no respect left. 👎

Like, out of all the people sitting there, why did he have to target you specifically??? 😲

Honestly, with an attitude like that, I wouldn't have stood up for him even if he had the most legitimate reason in the world.
Having an invalid status doesn't give you a pass to be a complete moron. 🙄

The only thing invalid here is his mindset.
Look, I've helped people before, whether they needed it or not—I don't mind standing up—but yesterday was just a disaster. The guy was a total wreck, a complete hillbilly with zero respect, acting like he owned the entire subway car.
I completely lost my cool yesterday. I was sitting on the bus, riding from the Potomac area toward downtown, when this guy—couldn't have been more than 50—marches right up to me and shoves an ID in my face.
My first instinct was to reach for my purse, thinking it was some transit officer, but then I saw it: a disability card.
I told him, "Sorry, I've got an ID too." He goes, "Oh yeah? Where is it?" So I just pointed to my stomach.
The woman sitting next to me bolts upright, and this guy just sits there and starts yelling, "Since when aren't pregnant women allowed to sit?!" 🙄
I told him to go screw himself.
It was a massive crowd, mostly women around me, and they immediately started tearing him apart for being such a jerk to a pregnant lady. He just kept arguing with them. 🤣

Look, I don't mind standing up. A blind person boarded a few stops back and I was ready to give up my seat immediately, though his companion told me not to bother since we were only one stop away.

I would've stood up for him too, if he hadn't shoved that pathetic little cardboard card without even a photo right under my nose. Honestly, once I heard him insulting everyone around him, I was actually glad I stayed seated. What an idiot.
