Olivia Miller2 said:I second this entirely... except I'm the one who got a warning notice on $200, which is just ridiculous... since I pay everything online, I'll just send them a message asking what their problem is, right?
And then I'm canceling my policy in writing... seriously, they have zero respect.

It seems everyone is getting hit with penalties lately. My husband was told he owes $167 for his supplemental coverage, even though he pays via automatic bank transfer. What on earth is going on with 😕 😠
? Now he has to trek down to the bank to get printed proof of his payments, just so he can go over there and prove it to the folks at Medicare.
Clearly, they are dealing with some sort of systemic glitch—or maybe the payments aren't being routed where they belong.

Mary, calm down—if you're actually short on funds, just negotiate a payment plan with them. That's how I handled a similar situation once; it wasn't an issue at all, and they were surprisingly reasonable.

I told her straight up: I’m not opening my door to anyone. I really don't care what she thinks—once the baby arrives, I'm basically going off the grid.

My mother-in-law gets under my skin like nothing else—it's everything, truly. I can't tell if I'm just projecting every single one of my hormonal imbalances onto her, but I simply cannot help myself.🤷

For example, mine. I don't even know where to start with this one. Just... wow. Everything? Really? Is that all we're doing now—just throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks? It’s getting exhausting, honestly. Does anyone actually believe this works, or are we all just pretending? Total mess. So she actually had the nerve to make some nasty comment about how fat I am? Seriously?
So then I read her the fine print right in front of a massive crowd—she just froze. Didn't have a single thing to say. She just kept stammering, "Well, I think it's nice." Seriously?.
Look, have a nice life or whatever—just keep your mouth shut. Don't come at me with those fake "compliments," especially since I don't want to hear them. Period. And just like that, everyone goes dead silent. Not a single comment. 😁
Just another bunch of liars—kind of like my own folks. Does yours carry at least 60 pounds of extra baggage too, by the way? 🤣
Back to the topic—those strollers pissed me off again today. I thought I’d finally made up my mind, too. I was sure. But then I spotted another Unknown that actually looked... maybe? 🙄 Honestly, if someone would just grab me a damn dolly and drop it off, we’d be done—problem solved, case closed. That’s all I need. Instead, I’m just sitting here getting worked up over nothing. Why do I even bother?

No extra weight here—physically, she's fit enough—but there is certainly a surplus or a deficit happening up there in her head. I see right through it all; her partner is her only child, she's a single mother, and now with this baby on the way, she's caught in this endless loop of playing both grandmother and mother to herself—but she can't mess with me, that's for sure!

And this whole business with the strollers and gear? It’s driving me up the wall, especially since certain people promised they would lend or give me stuff, and now I’m just sitting here waiting while everyone suddenly goes silent 🤷—if they already said they'd help, why on earth should I have to chase them down and beg?!!

It really grates on my nerves—these foolish Americans who swallow every single lie they're fed. 🙄
Austin Ramirez3 said:Literally the exact same thing happened at my office last week! Honestly, I don't think it's rude or anything to call people out when they cross the line. I told two people straight up, I'm not fat, I'm pregnant, and one person got super awkward while the other one just stared at me with this huge look on her face and went, Wait, really? Look how big your stomach is! Hahaha!

Yeah, hilarious... I'm totally "fat"... it's just all those burgers, fries, and pizza I've been eating lately! 😵

Seriously though, those comments are so annoying!

And oh my god, another thing that drives me absolutely insane is that someone in my apartment building—living on one of the upper floors—throws trash out their window every single day 😠 and then when I look out at our beautiful local park, all I see is their junk. It just ruins the view and makes me so mad! Ugh, some people are just so uncultured! 🙂 🙂

🙂

I basically went scorched earth with my neighbors and close friends regarding the whole weight topic, and now? Nobody dares to utter a word about it.
I still catch people making jabs, too—like my mother-in-law, who will make these venomous little remarks about how overweight I am.
So, one time, in front of a whole crowd, I absolutely tore into her; she was so stunned she didn't even know how to respond—she just stammered, "Well, I think it looks nice."
Fine, you think it's "nice," but keep your mouth shut and stop throwing these "compliments" my way—especially since they aren't pleasant for me to hear. And that was it; ever since then, total silence. No one says a thing. 😁
I have this friend who, every single time she lays eyes on me, feels the need to remark, "Oh my goodness, look how much weight you've put on..."
Well, one of these days, I finally reached my breaking point—and let's just say she got a verbal lashing she won't soon forget. I told her quite plainly: if you don't have anything kind or constructive to contribute, then just keep your mouth shut. Honestly, what kind of person directs those kinds of comments at a pregnant woman? It’s just appalling. 😠
I was absolutely livid—truly. I’m just sitting here waiting for her to get pregnant herself so she can finally experience a little taste of her own medicine. 😠
neonsurfer32 said:It drives me crazy hearing that same repetitive garbage on the radio every five minutes... and don't even get me started on those mindless TV shows. Honestly, we should just ban this kind of low-rent production altogether...

And what exactly constitutes "pop trash"?
The rest of this signature is longer than a CVS receipt—apparently, nobody in this country knows how to write anything halfway interesting!
Good grief 😲, I suppose I shouldn't even be surprised—given the state of affairs in this country, what else could one expect?

Here is a little something that perfectly encapsulates the current state of our society:

Rebecca Vaughn7 said:Look, I personally know a few women who were pregnant but took the test on the day their period was due and it came back negative or just totally garbled. Plus, I’ve seen plenty of bad reviews online about this specific brand. I’m not saying it fails every single time, but it seems like it isn't nearly as sensitive as other brands out there.
(A friend of mine got a clear positive, sure, but she didn't take it until almost a week after her missed period. If you're in a massive rush to find out, this probably isn't your best bet...)

It’s the truth—my period was late by two days and the test came back negative. I even did it twice in a row using my first morning urine just to be sure.
I had used a Pregnancies Duo kit.
It wasn't until seven days after my missed period that a barely visible, pale pink line finally appeared. By then, I was already well into my pregnancy, which makes the whole thing feel rather pointless—if the test lacks sensitivity, what is the point of relying on it when you need answers most?
If you’ve already had two positive tests, then congratulations—you’re likely pregnant. My advice? Just hang tight for a few more days; once you’re actually a couple of days late, head over to your OB-GYN. They’ll get you sorted with all the necessary referrals and bloodwork.
Just remember, the pregnancy timeline is calculated from the first day of your last period.
I’m crossing my fingers for you—I can tell this is something you truly want.😉
Steven Reed said:Well, one small mercy is that my husband won't be around during that window—I am genuinely terrified of being left alone with the little one. If he were actually here, nobody would dare step foot near us for at least the first two weeks. I know she’s worried about both me and the baby, but regardless... *starts slamming her head against the wall again* 😍

My mother is coming to help out too, though not directly with the baby. I'll handle the infant while she tackles the housework, prep meals, and those other little things. The difference is, we have a 1,500-square-foot house, so we won't even notice her presence. Just try to stay calm and talk it through with your mom—she might push back initially, but eventually, she'll see reason (I hope) 😁
Steven Barrett6 said:My mother-in-law is driving me absolutely insane

So I’m trying to head out for a walk, right? And I’m low-key rushing because I don't want my nephew to spot me—he lives with us, and he was busy doing homework with her. Suddenly, she’s all like, "Oh, you want to take [Nephew] for a walk with you too?" Like, excuse me?! WTF?!
Just leave me alone! I want to go by myself, throw my headphones on, and just power-walk in peace without having to deal with a kid the whole damn time. If I actually wanted to take him, I would have asked.
Does she not get that I'm pregnant and just need some freaking solitude?
And then I’m stuck having to make up these stupid, lame excuses just so I don't have to walk with him.

She used to piss me off like this all the time back in the day. She’d be like, "Hey, tell him to come over to our place after school so we can finish his homework together." Seriously? He isn't my kid! And let me tell you, that little guy knows exactly how to push my buttons. He never listens to a word I say. So, if I don't want to deal with the headache of him, fine—his own mom and dad can sit there and help him with his homework. It's not my fault they had four kids and now they can't find the time to keep up.

It's the same thing with them being over here constantly. She basically babysits them, and even my husband already told her that if she wants to watch them while they're at work, she should just go over to their house instead. When the parents are working, it's pure chaos here. All four of them are screaming their heads off by 4 PM, nobody listens, and then three of them wander off somewhere when the oldest one isn't around. But the second he walks through the door? Total mayhem and fighting.
It sucks too, because they're here from early morning, so if I want to grab a kiwi for breakfast, I can't, because I don't have like five of them sitting in the fridge.
It's just ridiculous when the parents are actually home and they still send all four kids over to our place. Like, hold on a second...
Having kids is easy; actually raising them is the hard part.
But the thing that gets me most is stuff like this: We’ll be having a quiet weekend at home—just me, my husband, and his mom—with the kids not around. Then Sunday night rolls around, someone comes over to visit us, and suddenly the kids show up looking like they just crawled out of a dumpster in torn clothes and dirt everywhere. Like, do their parents even care?! My husband is losing his mind over it.

Look, I love them. I really do. I'm always buying them stuff, baking cookies, making pancakes... but now that I'm pregnant, every single disobedient kid is just grating on my nerves.
I don't mind them visiting, but there has to be some level of respect and order.

Also, I absolutely hate how my mother-in-law treats me like I'm some little child. I know she means well, I really do. For example, we were out for dinner on Saturday and she was freezing. She kept asking me, "Are you cold?" and I said, "No, I'm fine," but she asked me three or four more times! Then today she’s like, "You probably didn't even feel the cold because you were too cold yourself." Like, WTF? I'm 24, not five. I know how to take care of myself. If my own mom were here, she would have shut that down immediately, but I just felt too awkward to say anything.

Oh, please—you're such a baby, aren't you? Honestly. 😁
My mother-in-law pulls the exact same stunt. She’ll come to me asking for advice or help with something—so, naturally, I go out of my way to explain the whole process for thirty minutes—only for her to ignore everything I said and do it her own way anyway. It turns out she wasn't actually looking for input; she was just asking to hear herself talk. So, what happens next? I stop engaging, I give her the cold shoulder, and then suddenly *I'm* the one who's in the wrong because she's offended. Fine. Go ahead and be offended. I'll keep being "polite" while I walk away. That's how that goes. 🤣
Jesse Evans85 said:That is exactly it! It feels silly to say I hate that he’s going out while I’m stuck here—I want him to enjoy himself—but there are moments where I just feel left behind. For instance, Guns was the very first band I ever listened to, and seeing them live has been a lifelong dream. Then, naturally, a few days before the concert, I start bleeding, end up staying home, and my husband goes without me. 😢 I spent the entire evening crying my eyes out, ordered a pizza and some pancakes, and basically just ate my feelings while weeping. At the same time, it would have been ridiculous for him to skip it and waste the tickets; I was actually the one who told him to go, but... well, I wanted to be there too. *Sniff.*
I trust that eventually, this won't feel like such a big deal, but in that moment, it really stung. It felt a lot like what happened last Friday when I wrote that other post.

Ultimately, I just want to say that even though this baby was deeply wanted (it really was!) and I am genuinely happy about it—I still have interests and a life outside of being a mother and everything revolving around a newborn. Because of those things, I’m being sidelined quite a bit, and I know that’s going to continue for a while. Sometimes I don't even think twice about it, but other times, it really gets to me.

God, I miss just going out! My husband and I used to be such a social duo, but now? He refuses to step foot out the door without me. Aaaaaaaah, it drives me insane! I’ll try to push him to go, and he digs his heels in—and half the time I think, "How can he be so stubborn?" and the next, "He's actually wonderful for being so supportive." 😁
It’s a lose-lose situation, really. If he stayed home, I'd be furious; if he went out alone, I'd be pissed too. 😁😁
Dana Howard4 said:Yeah, I get that. But the thing is, he literally just went in and pulled out immediately—and without a condom, too. I honestly don't see how anything could even happen in those few seconds. It would be incredibly frustrating if I got pregnant from that while other women struggle for years to conceive.🤷 🤷

Look, you’re probably not pregnant. I remember once being apart from my partner for a whole month and my period was late—I was convinced I was pregnant, though I have no idea how that could have even happened.😁
The reality is that your cycle is late, which is triggering this absolute panic—and suddenly, everything feels possible.
Pick up a kit from $10, take the test, and finally put these doubts to rest.
About ten years ago, I actually found "Not Another Teen Movie" to be a decent parody of those teen flicks—though, looking back, I’m honestly not sure if it would even land for me today.
Then there’s that film mocking those high-priced assassins starring Pierce Brosnan, "Matador"—but I suspect that leans more toward black comedy rather than being a true parody.

As for the parodies released in recent years? I haven't even been able to sit through them to the end; the sheer volume of mindless stupidity is just exhausting, and it ends up having the exact opposite effect of what's intended—it's just not funny.
Movies as a commodity in Movies ·
Ever since high-definition movies and Blu-ray rips became readily available to stream on my home setup, I haven't stepped foot in a movie theater. Why bother? Unless a film looks absolutely spectacular—or if I think a specific experience, say something in 3D, would actually be enhanced by the big screen—I simply won't shell out the cash. Otherwise, there is no way I'm dropping $20 or more on something so unpredictable.
Not every single film featuring law enforcement or electronic music actually manages to connect them 😁

I just caught the trailer for that documentary about Astral, and while I haven't downloaded the full thing yet, you should try to track it down—it’s actually picked up a few awards. Plus, isn't it fascinating to see how that specific scene evolved right here in America?
