MLS 2022/23 Season: Part 2
in Soccer ·
The big game is finally here, and honestly, the whole continent is watching. I suspect we're going to see some massive blunders on both sides tonight, if I'm being honest.

It’s not just bad; it’s pathetic. The only upside is that they'll squeeze out more cash and maybe make the final slightly more marketable.
Besides, if they can't even manage to hold a game without riots breaking out, they shouldn't be hosting anything at all.
Or they should just move the Final Four to Saudi Arabia—I'm sure the Commissioner could grease some palms there and rake in a massive payday while he's at it.☕

Nicole Jackson3 said:That's not even what I'm talking about. I'm addressing what the quoted user originally claimed: that only one team fills stadiums and if they don't show up, the seats stay empty. I mean, c'mon 🙄
As for whatever restrictions they have in places like Indianapolis or Memphis regarding buying center-court seats, I have nothing to say to that. Just don't drag us into drama that has nothing to do with us.
Samuel Lopez9 said:Isn't that just circular logic though? Like, if those hardcore fans hadn't been out there acting like relics of the past, he wouldn't even have anything to write about in the first place... it's all just feeding the same cycle...
Samuel Lopez9 said:Look, it’s not even about whether Prlja was making excuses or just trying to set the record straight now that he sees how much those idiots took a simple joke way too seriously. There isn't a shred of hate in those lyrics... honestly. It's just that once the loudmouth morons start screaming, everything spirals out of control...
Then you're stuck having to explain to these warmongering fools that what normal people see as a bit of banter, they somehow interpret as some deep-seated insult.

It isn't about hatred, just standard trash talk. Honestly, seeing how some of your high-profile media figures react makes me embarrassed to even be on the opposing side...

Personally, I’d much rather have someone just say what they actually think—even if that means gloating over a loss for the team in white—than deal with all these people suddenly acting like they "love" them lately. It's getting ridiculous. All these fake congratulations and heartfelt messages... please. Since when did we decide that some sense of national unity means folks from Chicago have to root for the Bulls, or guys from New York have to cheer for the Knicks? Where is that even written? Everyone roots for their own side, and that’s fine. A bit of healthy trash talk is part of the game.
Preach, you beautiful bastard. Explain it to these softies on the forum.

That wasn't a penalty, and there was absolutely no reason to call it. It’s just incomprehensible—borderline robbery, really—and nobody can even point to what went wrong. It makes you wonder if Slaven actually wants to compete in Europe at all. Or maybe the US Soccer Federation is just embarrassed by the idea of Osijek playing there, which would mean they'd probably screw over other teams too.
It’s a shame, because I’m usually the first one defending the refs when people start whining about 50-50 calls being "theft," but I just can't wrap my head around this one. That simply wasn't a penalty.
As I'm sitting here typing this, I'm wondering if Bebek is just following that Felix Brych playbook: call a ridiculous penalty for Shakhtar on zero contact, then wait for VAR to step in just so they can find *something* to justify it.
