Mosquito bites in Health ·
🙂 Yeah, honestly, the liquid dropper version is way better than those little pills. I've tried both. And look, if I still end up needing something stronger, I just stick to the St. John's Wort oil I make myself at home.
Healthy eating tips & advice in Health ·
neonmoose17 said:I’ve been eating pretty poorly lately and it’s starting to mess with my health. So, I decided to switch up my diet. Could you guys tell me what actually counts as healthy eating? Recipes would be great too—especially quick ones because I’m working and studying, so I don't have much time. Thanks! 🙂

Look, you already took the first step. You're actually looking into this stuff. Now you just need the second step—you gotta somehow find the time to prep.
Salads are fine, sure, but the body needs warm food too (even if it’s summer). So, you should probably be eating soups and stews. And vegetables... right now is the perfect time for fresh produce; Farmers Markets are loaded with it. Since you're short on time, I suggest buying it all, cleaning it, chopping it, and keeping it in Tupperware a day early so you can just whip things together the next day. When I was swamped, I used to even prep stuff ahead of time, like cooking greens, cooling them down, and tossing them in the fridge. Then the next day, you just boil some potatoes and mix it with the greens, some garlic, salt, pepper, and olive oil or butter (which I assume you use). Fish... river or sea fish, however you cook it—that's a good move. Meat... I wouldn't stick just to chicken. You need variety. It's more interesting, and honestly healthier since you aren't pumping so many toxins into your system. Yeah, toxins—I'm not wrong there. Nowadays, it's hard to find (especially in smaller towns) anyone growing veggies without using artificial crap, whether we like it or not, we're basically forced to eat poison. Anyway...
Fruit—the more, the better... Water—you know how it is, when you don't drink enough, you get headaches, joint pain... you're just depleted. One of my coworkers used to complain about headaches constantly and blamed it on crappy face creams. Like, nothing worked... until she realized she just wasn't drinking enough water...
And... I won't ramble... just make sure you don't skip meals and don't eat "on the run." Try to relax (as much as you can), sit down, and eat slowly. That's just as important as what you're eating and how it's cooked.
If you haven't started yet, start using olive oil, apple cider vinegar, spices—not just because they make things taste better, but because they're healthy.
If you need anything else—just ask.
Good luck. Goodnight. 🙂
I don't know, I've talked to a few people who went through this, and honestly, I felt the exact same way before I found out I had some issues with my kidney... maybe you're just incredibly stressed out right now. Either way—don't just ignore it. Go see a doctor. 🙂
Kikiriki in chocolate, After Eight, chocolate with orange bits, Sacher cake, almond cake, baklava (you know, the Greek kind)... ugh, I’m seriously craving something sweet right now...🙏🙏🙏
I honestly think those gummy candy recorders from the EBA... they're just wrong. They really ought to be banned.👎

HELP!!! in Health ·
It could just be plain old dehydration. You didn't mention if you're drinking enough fluids. Since it’s been getting so hot lately, you really should be hitting at least 1.5 to 2 liters of liquid—water is best—every single day. And please, eat regularly. Like, at least three meals a day. Make sure there's plenty of fruits and veggies in there.
But hey, making the call to see someone is smart. A doctor will be able to figure out exactly what caused you to pass out.
Good luck. Take care.
Best teas for reducing water retention? in Health ·
Yeah, look, if you’re actually going to go through with drinking those teas, just know you’ve gotta stay on top of your hydration. I mean, maybe drink about a cup or two, two or three times a day, for maybe ten days? Nothing more than that. And honestly, eat some bananas or something so you don't lose all your potassium from the flushing. But... seriously, check with your doctor first.
Take care.

Noah Carter3 said:I've been dealing with chronic bloating for years now. I’ll admit I’m also struggling with cysts at the moment, though that wasn't an issue back when the bloating first started—it was the exact same pattern.

I'm looking for recommendations on herbal teas that act as natural diuretics, as it feels like my body is constantly retaining fluid.

Or if anyone has any other advice for managing something similar, I'm all ears.

Has anyone here actually tried anything that works?

I don't want to freak you out or anything, but bloating could be a sign of a ton of different things. So, I guess it’d be best to talk to your doctor first.
As for herbs that act as diuretics—parsley, nettle, and birch leaf are the big ones. It's pretty basic: heat up about half a cup of water, pour it over two small teaspoons of the herb, let it sit covered for a few minutes, and then drink it without sugar.
But seriously, go see a doctor first.
