1.

(I don't follow this stuff and honestly don't get it, but I feel like I owe these people 🙏)

Honestly, those people are totally nuts. Why even bother reading them with them? 😬

I'm giving up on the whole "what would I even do with these lists" idea because I'm just not in the mood today and I'm feeling a bit teary-eyed. 😢

The #1 best thing I've read on the forum today:

vividcanyon2 said:''Man, what would I even do to them'' list

That list is actually pretty solid. I'm going to start brainstorming my own. 😈

But honestly? Ana C. was acting like such a fanatic, trying so hard to convince us that sugar MUST be included, and she seemed genuinely rattled by the whole debate. Martin and I just spent the first ten minutes rolling our eyes, and after that, we turned the whole thing into a joke just to mess with her a little bit.

I don't know, I'm no expert on pancakes. The only "dessert" I really know how to whip up is tiramisu.🙂

By the way, I know people who put sugar in their yogurt—now THAT is just gross.👎

Why? Do you really think she ought to be siding with the men? 😁 Not a chance. 😈

And what makes you say Ana C. is being militant? 😕

Dana Anderson4 said:It’s like this... Dana Anderson4, do you remember last Christmas? Just one of those blurry, hazy moments...😬

That’s pure Krleža right there... I saw it through the fog, lost in the haze and the mist...

It’s always a pretty solid excuse if you're young enough to claim you were just acting on impulse in a daze.😁

Thanks so much for such a vivid explanation. 😁

@ gentlepuma20: I'm always on the woman's side, even if she happens to be a total heartbreaker.😬

I don't eat pancakes.

gentlepuma20 said:I mean, sure, a charming boss can send a sweet message, but it’s just wrong for a married man to tell her he’s "never felt this way before"—especially when she actually keeps the text as a keepsake (so sad 😵 ).

If we're going by that logic, I should have been behind bars years ago considering how much I vent about married men online 😬

yeast 😠

Since when have donuts even been made with yeast?? 😲

Also, what's your take on Lana Pavic? 😍

gentlepuma20 said:It’s all total nonsense. Honestly, she deserves a serious reality check over that one message, even if it wasn't particularly scandalous.🙂

Wait, what? Is she only allowed to send messages to you?😬

Honestly, couldn't agree more. 🤣

Lana carica is the absolute best, just watch:

The bottom line is, I get along great with my boss, but let's be real—I haven't had an affair during my marriage, and that's that. My husband knew exactly who I was texting and how we were talking; he knew the vibe I had with my boss. He clearly expected me to play a different role in this marriage: just the wife, the mother, the homemaker... but sorry, I’m not the one

Go get 'em, girl! That's how you do it. 😬

Yo momma... said:this term was basically cooked up on the fly when some "specialist" started giving these rambling, drunken explanations...

Hey, what does the phrase 'in a flash' actually mean? There's this song with that title I've been listening to for years, and honestly, I still can't wrap my head around the true meaning..

@ gentlepuma20:

copy-paste: Their marriage supposedly fell apart because of some text messages Lana received from an alleged lover—someone she insists she never even met and claims she never got a message saying: “I'm thinking of you and I've never felt this way in my life.”
That was the allegedly lewd message. Wait, what does "lewd" even imply here?! Is that really considered lewd?! To me, something truly lewd would be: ‘I’m coming over tonight...’ — said Lana

Honestly, they just don't hit that punk vibe for me anymore—not on this album, and not on anything they've released since. That’s just my take, though; you don't have to agree. 🙂

Woke up at 9:00, finally crawled out of bed at 1:15 PM, smoked a cigarette in the yard like I always do, gave up on making risotto, got disappointed by Lana Pavicka's Instagram story because there wasn't any juicy gossip, but did find some pink high heels for $10 🎉 🎉 🎉

@ wiredfalcon2: why don't you believe in menstruation?

Robin Booth said:Nah, the whole "That's what he said..." thing is still pretty funny.

Eh... honestly, the only things I actually like on that album are the tracks 🙂 ... okay, fine, maybe 'Girlfriend' and 'I'm Humming' too.. everything else is 👎

I've loved Stakla since '96 (pretty sure that was the first time I caught them 🤔), so it’s not even about this forum—it was those old music zines I used to read that actually got me into them 🙂

My top 5 goals for tomorrow:

1. Attempting to actually get out of bed before noon
2. Hitting the farmer's market to grab some rosehips before they're gone (assuming I manage goal #1)
3. Scouring the city for pink sneakers (if anyone knows where to find some, let me know, thanks 🙂)
4. Getting home and settling in with the Christmas edition of the New York Post, specifically to read that 'Lana Pavic: The Truth About My Divorce' piece 🙂
5. Finally sitting down to watch '24 Hour Party People' 😳

Melissa Sanchez37 said:The absolute most annoying things about people over 70:

1. When they wrap the remote control in a plastic bag "so it doesn't get damaged."
2. Endless small talk about nothing at all (like yesterday, when someone mentioned their uncle used to conduct a choir back in Savannah).
3. When they pepper you with service questions—especially if there are more than two (Like, when did Mom leave? Is it winter in Chicago? Was the bus crowded yesterday? Did you wear a thermal undershirt? When are you coming back? Do you have your house key?)

4. Having to eat lunchalways at the exact same time (at my grandma's place, it’s strictly 2:00 PM).
5. Those crocheted covers placed over sofa cushions and armrests.
6. Older women in the doctor's waiting room who feel the need to loudly narrate every single one of their medical issues.

Here are my top 5 most ridiculous holiday cards that have been flooding my inbox lately:

5. Dear colleagues and friends,
I wish you all the best in the new year, and pleasant and peaceful holidays.

Dear colleagues and friends,
I wish you all the best in the new year, and pleasant and peaceful
holidays.

Liebe Freund und Kollegen,
Ich Wünsche Ihnen alles beste in neues Jahr, und schöne und ruhige
Festtage.

4. EVERYTHING IS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cheers to creativity!

3. For this Christmas, I wish you beautiful hours spent with your
families and friends, and enjoy your time off! And please, don't
eat too much!! :-) I really hope next year brings you lots of
luck, happiness, health, and especially love!! Maybe in 2006 we can
stay in better touch and won't lose sight of each other anymore...!

2. We wish you plenty of health, personal satisfaction, professional success, and a great time or rest during the upcoming holidays surrounded by family and friends. Congratulations on whatever you are celebrating, with the hope that in the coming year we will have even more opportunities and time for working together and hanging out. In the spirit of seasonal frugality, I wish you via electrical transmission peaceful and merry holidays and many beautiful dreams and visions for the new one.

1. As this year approaches its natural conclusion, it’s quite a struggle not to fall into the trap of those overly commercialized versions of holiday greetings for the season and the 365 days ahead in 2006. Beyond all the usual stuff you might want for yourself, I’d like to wish you something truly worth desiring—something to keep you motivated, dreaming, and hoping.

Since it feels right, I’ll stop trying to invent new ways to say things and instead point you toward the poem by Max Ehrmann, The Desiderata (of Happiness).

Love,
xy

Seriously, does anyone actually have nothing better to do than send out this kind of garbage??? 😵

My #1 absolute favorite card:

Every girl would love a Santa Claus like that. 😈
