Alex Ross32 said:You won't find anyone for under $6,000 😢 and if you want someone actually decent—someone who isn't just average—you're looking at $10,000 or more once you bundle the photography, video, and thank-you gifts together (since most vendors split those up to make the initial quote look cheaper). A wedding is just plain expensive 🤔

My photo Picasso is $1333 + $1.75 for the thank-you gifts. All in, we’re looking at 4 $233 which I think is a steal. Plus, they seem like genuinely cool people. We aren't exactly high-maintenance when it comes to photography—as long as the price is right and they don't screw over our DVD. There was this other photographer (photo Ličanin from Gundinac) at the same price point, and we were seriously torn between them, but we ended up going with Picasso based on a recommendation.

Alex Ross32 said:What’s the damage with Krizmanić? Does their quote already cover thank-you gifts, or is that an extra line item?
It drives me nuts when I have to tack on $2.25 per gift on top of the base rate—it ends up making the photographer way more $500 expensive than they actually are.

About a year ago, my brother paid $5300 plus $2.00 per gift—and they had 180 of them, so we're looking at $6380 total. No clue what the market looks like now, but my brother was super happy with their work.

I’ve started the slow process of planning my wedding, and I could really use some advice. I'm based in Memphis, so I'm looking for a venue, a florist, a band, and all the little extras that go with it. There is a local hall here called V&S, but I haven't heard anything good about it. I assume Hotel Lav is on the pricier side, so if anyone knows their rates, please let me know 😉. My other options are Wichita (which seems like a better bet) or Indianapolis—though Indy is a bit of a trek since my relatives are coming from Little Rock, and I'd rather they didn't arrive completely exhausted from the drive. As for florists in Memphis... what about Jukić? Yes or no? Ideally, I want one vendor who can handle everything: the bouquet, boutonnieres, decorating the car, the church, and whatever else they offer. Please send recommendations for Memphis or Wichita. Regarding photographers... right now I'm looking at the Krizmanić family or Photo Ivan from Ivankov. Most of them include invitations and thank-you notes, so hopefully, that's one less thing to worry about. For the dessert... I'm hoping the cake and decor are included in the venue price 😁, otherwise, I'll probably order the sweets and the wedding cake from Babin Greda. Now, the band!!! That's the real headache. There are endless options, but I need someone talented who won't break the bank (around $1667). I'm looking for a group that can play traditional folk music as well as modern hits. Even a standalone folk group would work, provided they are versatile enough to cover everything... and again, a reasonable price point 🙂.
If I've overlooked anything, please chime in 😉. I hope I'm not being too demanding 😂

Ugh, I can't help you much, but whatever you do, DO NOT hire Photo Ivan NIKAKO!!!! Five of my relatives used him and he completely trashed their memories. First, you're stuck waiting for a month, then the DVDs end up glitching—you can barely even see yourselves. Seriously, believe me... they used to be great, but unfortunately, they haven't been for a year now. Since you're in Memphis, tell me—what's the deal with Picasso from Vu? We put a deposit down because they're super cheap and throw in all sorts of freebies—two photo pillows which is pretty cool, a bunch of large prints, five sets of DVDs... the works. Have you dealt with them before?

Seems like I'm the only one seeing such a low turnout for brides getting hitched in a few months... Is there actually anyone planning a wedding in April, May, or June, or is everyone just obsessed with summer and fall?
Now I'm wondering—any drink recommendations? Where can we find the best deals? We're looking around the Cleveland and Osijek-Baranja County area. Our venue manager has a contract with Amadeus and offered us their services, but we've heard there are way cheaper options out there for booze. Does anyone know a good plug??

Mark Flores47 said:Man, 😠 the vibes there seem great—lots of nature and all that stuff 😉 but I still need to double-check things. I know a friend and her boyfriend went there recently, so maybe Salaš isn't even open anymore... who knows. Thanks for the heads-up, I’ll have to look into it. Honestly, if I show up and they’re being unprofessional like that, I'm out. I haven't even started looking properly yet, but I'm already getting a bad feeling 🤣 because having guest rooms is a huge plus for me. I've got tons of family living out of state.. 😕 so I'd definitely be looking to snag a discount on those rooms right away 😁

Eee... they're totally shut down. Both Sala and the restaurant. My partner and I were actually hoping to grab dinner there, but nope, nothing happening 😢

driftingjackal9 said:We went ahead and booked the Ivanov estate over in Ivankov, and honestly, we’re feeling pretty good about it so far. We’ve heard nothing but glowing reviews, so I’m thinking we definitely made the right call here. 🙂

The Band that really caught our attention ☕ is the Gentlemen. Once again, we've heard nothing but praise for them. Has anyone else here actually worked with them before? 😵

And yeah, we're at the Ivanov estate, just like you already knew! Since my wedding went down before yours, I'll give you the real scoop—🙂 everyone’s happy, and the owner is a total legend!! He’s there all night, serving everything and checking in to see if you need anything else.
I've heard the Gentlemen are killer!!! Didn't catch them live myself, though.

Henry Harris5 said:Has anyone swung by the mall lately? Which department store should I hit up if I'm looking for wedding guest gear—like suits, bowties, lapels, and all that good stuff?

Last time I checked, Hall 13 had basically everything. But now they’ve split that number into two different halls—and since I can never find my way out of a Target without getting lost, I have no clue which one is which.

Angela Chavez3 said:If you mean the ones from Coca-Cola, I think some of the girls mentioned they used to get them at White's for about $0.17.

Thanks, but I actually scored mine through a buddy who works as a bartender 🙂 He hooks me up—it just keeps getting more expensive. Obviously, they end up being free for me.

dustytinker58 said:My suggestion? Just order them online from Bubba! They specialize in glassware and have a massive selection to choose from. If you're looking for those mini flasks, they have $0.88 and they even include the stopper.
Honestly, I think you'll end up paying way more if you try to find them at places like Walmart or other local shops that carry them. Shipping shouldn't cost you more than $17
!

I don't mind driving out to Indianapolis or Savannah since I'm from Columbus—it's no big deal. Honestly, if I'm heading that way, I don't even need delivery. I’m actually hitting up Indy to pick out a wedding dress, so I might as well swing by Walmart while I'm at it. It didn't even cross my mind otherwise. I checked out Bubba, but I really want something closer to home. Oh, and yeah—I'm looking for those tiny little bottles, you know? Like, maybe they'll hold about an ounce or so?

Anyone know where I can snag those tiny little shot bottles—you know, the ones for bourbon? And what’s the damage like? Need about 170 of them for some thank-you gifts... any leads?

Jamie Newman10 said:I’d definitely suggest you check out The Beatles from Indianapolis... I’ve been at a handful of weddings where they were the main act, and honestly, all I ever hear is people raving about them. Just my two cents, coming from someone who's been around since the summer of 2014.

ugh, right? they're freaking amazing!! I was at a wedding once where they played—the energy was just insane!!! seriously, props to them.

driftingsailor81 said:So, my partner and I are heading out to the mall this Sunday... so I’m gonna scope out the situation and see what the damage looks like for all those wedding essentials 🙂 hopefully they haven't jacked up the prices on those suits yet... 🤷 If anyone needs me to hunt down a specific price for something while I'm there—just hit me up before Sunday 😁

Hey, can you check how much they’re charging for veils if they actually got them—plus the suit prices? We totally missed that last time. Everything's pricier than before, though I guess it’s still cheaper here than back home. I think we were looking at Hall 13 or something—they have two halls, so who knows exactly which one—when we were checking out the decorations and all the wedding stuff. They even had wedding dresses there, but honestly? A bit too "mall-style" for me, haha... not really my vibe (not that I want to offend anyone!). 😁

Honestly, I’m totally fine with Sanja Šot. She’s cool—really, zero complaints from my side. Plus, there’s plenty of room to build a business with her.

dustytinker58 said:Hey ladies!
Has anyone picked up bows, veils, or napkins from the hallway boutique yet? I'm curious about the price range! Also, does anyone know if they carry cloth napkins or those cute little dresses for the junior groomsmen?

One more thing regarding the corridor—does anyone happen to know what the pricing looks like for Leon production?

So, I was actually just at the convention this past Saturday—fancy bows are like $2 for a pack of 10, and if you're trying to DIY your own, that ribbon is about $2.50 for 100 meters. Found napkins for $3 per 100, and balloons were a steal at $1 for 100. Couldn't find any tulle, though—but hey, I'm sure they'll have it in stock when I head back there this spring.

Anyone actually tried renting a wedding dress in Canada—specifically near Orašje? Is there even a decent selection, and how does the whole cross-border thing work? Also... prices?

Kimberly Alvarez8 said:Morning 🙂 hey girls—how much did you end up paying for those cookie boxes? I mean the ones sitting on the table meant for taking treats home... Anyone happen to know who manufactures those plastic ones?

hey, I used to grab the small ones at the local grocery stores back in Canada for like 2-$1.25 bucks each, depending on how big they were. For wedding favors, I picked some up over in Canada near the border—gotten them for like 10 for a buck there.

Anyone here actually dealt with The Beatles from the Midwest before???
