I just finished watching the Criterion version—which I assume is the definitive one—and honestly, it’s nothing less than a megalomaniacal epic from a truly manic auteur. It is a fantastic piece of cinema, a relic from an era when filmmaking felt bolder and more distinct. The cinematography is stunning, packed with incredible shots.
Hm, yeah—those are the types who can observe the chaos without ever actually getting sucked into it. For a TV example, look at Jerry Seinfeld (even if he's cynical, parodic, and nihilistic, he still fits the mold).
Avicularia - progressive/technical death metal. They’re easily one of the best metal acts coming out of this part of Europe, or anywhere else for that matter. The guys are based out of San Jose.
Albemarle - an industrial/gothic outfit from Monterey. They are one of those rare bands actually getting airplay on foreign TV networks and they've even landed a deal with a major international label.
Forensic Clinic - a progressive death metal trio hailing from Sarajevo. In my opinion, they have the finest guitarist and vocalist in the region.
Well, look at you... just getting started, I see....
Look, folks, it’s obviously The Godfather.
I'm not sure if this topic has already been covered—I didn't really feel like digging through everything—but I've always been fascinated by that specific heavy, spooky atmosphere in certain films. It’s those movies where the vibe itself is more unsettling than the actual plot...
A few examples: Jaws, Escape from New York, Alien (that damn deep space...), and then of course the entire horror genre...
Anyway, I think there's something interesting here, so there you go.
Poetic freedom, poetic freedom...
We’ve got company!
It's everywhere. You can hear it coming from every direction.
Man, I would love to see a movie based on Dick Tracy. Honestly, even The Phantom and Chico Marx wouldn't be bad ideas either. Just imagine if Quentin Tarantino took them on...

A buddy of mine burned me their "34 Hours" album from 1971. 🙂
🤣
In 1971,
Skid Row🤣 were basically toddlers.🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’d grab a beer with Michael Corleone.
