Lyrica usage and experiences in Health ·
I was taking it to deal with chronic migraines, though I'm honestly not entirely sure if it actually made much of a difference for me... I stayed at a 75 mg dose because when I bumped it up to 150, or especially once I hit 300, I felt a little too "euphoric," and since it's also used for anxiety, that can be a bit much. I ended up stopping cold turkey without any real issues, which was a relief, as I haven't really developed a dependency on any of the other medications I've used in the past, like benzodiazepines or Tramal... I suppose I've just been lucky in that regard.
Dealing with hemorrhoids – any advice? in Health ·
Hi there!

Has anyone here ever undergone laser hemorrhoidoplasty (LHP)? I've been dealing with a third-degree hemorrhoid for over a decade now, and it’s become pretty clear that I need some kind of intervention, even if it's just a temporary fix... I’m mostly curious about the success rates and what the recovery process is actually like, specifically regarding the pain levels...
Daniel Edwards3 said:Could someone please walk me through this? I'm trying to figure out exactly which tests and scans I'll need to undergo, and more importantly, what the total damage is going to be? I mean, what is the full breakdown of costs including all the diagnostic results and every other associated expense?

Well, following a referral from your primary care physician, you would typically see an orthopedist or perhaps a thoracic surgeon—though the latter is often the better route. You'll likely be looking at undergoing spirometry, an EKG, and a chest X-ray. Honestly, though, everything really hinges on how pronounced the deformity actually is, because some people deal with a minor PE and end up spiraling into unnecessary panic. For this condition to truly impact things like heart or lung function, the displacement needs to be clearly visible and proportionally significant...
Cosmetic correction is a whole different ballgame entirely!
So, my package finally arrived, but I’m running into a bit of a snag because I can't get to the notification slip they left in my mailbox since I don't have my key on me right now... I was wondering if it would be possible to just head down to the UPS office and pick it up using only my ID, without needing that physical notice...
How do I stop biting my nails? in Psychology ·
It’s actually reaching a point where I’m dealing with some pretty serious issues now, though it isn't just about my nails themselves—it’s more about the skin surrounding them. There isn't a single finger that isn't raw, cut up, or stained with dried blood. Honestly, it feels a bit embarrassing to even admit this to anyone... It’s almost like I’m physically mutilating myself right when I have major performances or big exams coming up. During one exam specifically, I found myself digging my nails deep into my palms, only realizing afterward that I had actually broken the skin and bled. In the middle of the test, I didn't feel a thing; I was just caught up in this total state of euphoria. Usually, during the summer when I'm free from exams, my hands look perfectly fine...
