Nickname change (read first post!) in Forum Help! ·
So, I basically screwed up. As the title says, I made a mistake because I didn't realize you could actually request a username change, so I just went ahead and opened a second account instead. 😳😲😕🤷☕

What I’m looking to do is merge them—rename Sean Kim7 to the other account I set up...
Which moderator should I reach out to so I can fix this mess?

You can only change a handle if the new one is similar to the old one and isn't already taken (even if you happen to own the other account with that specific name).

So, we finally settled the matter. 😉

I have a question regarding these "testing" threads for images, links, and such—what’s actually the point? I noticed there is a detailed FAQ that lays out exactly how to handle this stuff. Yet, people keep cluttering the board with pointless "tests," even though you have the option to "view post" before publishing. I realize the moderators call the shots here, but from where I'm sitting, this seems entirely redundant.

Hey. 🙂
How do I change the display text for a link? in Forum Help! ·
It seems plenty of people are still "trying" to rename their links (and succeeding🤷), so I’ll lay out how to handle this—if you can even call it a problem—in four steps:

1. Locate the link:
Code:
http://www.google.com/

We want this link to display on the forum as "LOL"

2. In the toolbar, click "Insert Link", which looks like this:
image

3. A prompt will appear saying "Please enter the URL of your link:". Copy, paste, or manually type the URL you want to use. In this case, it's
Code:
http://www.google.com/

.

4. Once you hit "Ok", you'll get the following code:
Code:
[ URL="http://www.google.com/";]http://www.google.com/[/URL]

You'll notice that after step 3, there is blue text recorded (I've bolded, italicized, and colored that part blue for clarity). You can change that specific section to whatever you want, and it will simply rename the link.
For instance, I’m going to rename that part to "LOL", resulting in:

LOL

Hope this helps. 😉

Sure, obviously. 😍
You know what needs to be done. 👍

Henry Patel20 said:You can print. Before that, you have the option to change fonts and colors, apply italics or underlining, adjust line spacing, and set page numbers, headers, and footers. You can even toggle spellcheck to catch errors. 🙂

Online sarcasm just doesn't work. 😁

I’m not so sure about that. Why label sending letters as old-fashioned? Sure, everyone claims life is moving too fast now and nobody has the time, but to me, a handwritten letter carries a level of intimacy that an SMS or an email just can't replicate.

Current status of this thread: Rox letters. 👍

What’s the consensus among you Americans regarding the points above?
Up to this point, I’ve mostly "used" (if that’s even the right word😍) WhatsApp, but I’m starting to feel like it misses the mark when it comes to actual correspondence. Honestly, nothing beats the old-school way—writing letters (yes, on actual paper👍).
Messaging someone through MSN, Yahoo, or Google just isn't the same. Everything moves too fast, and you lose that specific sense of connection that communication is supposed to provide.
Maybe I’m just old-fashioned, but what are your thoughts?

How on earth is that possible?

I think we’ve done enough "trial and error" by now...

How to upload an image to Reddit in 4 Steps:
  1. Copy the direct link to the image:
    image
  2. Click on "Insert Image"—or if you want to call it "Put picture in" in plain English:
    image
  3. Paste the link you copied in Step 1
    image
  4. Check that everything looks right by clicking "Preview post"

Stick to the rules regarding image size!

If anyone thinks this isn't enough, there is a full FAQ available on page 1 of this thread, and I'll go ahead and drop the link here specifically for you artists!

Best regards. 👍
I have a question regarding how this works. 😁

Syncing audio to subtitles is a losing battle. Just head over to Subscene or OpenSubtitles and search for the show title there instead.
Motion sickness while driving in Health ·
Adding my two cents here. I can't promise this works for everyone, but it worked for me.
Growing up, motion sickness was a nightmare, especially on the school bus. Trying to read or anything similar would push me right to the edge. The one thing that actually helped most of the time was just staring at the horizon.
Then came high school, which meant a daily commute of about 37 miles miles. Five days a week, every single week. That first year was rough, and I spent a lot of time experimenting—call it a philosophical approach if you want—trying to distract myself with tiny details. I’d focus on reading street signs, checking out license plates(😕), and whatever else I could find. Basically, I tried to overstimulate my brain just so I wouldn't dwell on the fact that I felt sick. For the next three years and up until now, it's become rare—maybe a few times a year at most. Usually, it only hits when I'm traveling through mountain passes or if I'm already feeling under the weather.
Hopefully, I haven't derailed the thread with this long-winded story 😁, but what I mentioned above really made a difference for me.

Cheers.
