Jamie Sanders said:I just got my blood drawn and handed in a urine sample, and I noticed four values are running high:

leukocytes 11.7 (3.4-9.7)
eosinophils 9.6 (0-7)
ALT 40 (10-36)
GGT 68 (9-35)

and a slightly low MCHC at 318 (320-345)

Everything else looks fine, and for the urine, it says: clear, pale yellow, pH 5, specific gravity 1.025, proteins, ketones, bilirubin, nitrites, blood - all negative; glucose and urobilinogen are normal; leukocytes 1-3, epithelial cells 2, mucus 1, bacteria 1.

Should I be worried about these four elevated numbers and that one low value, and is my urine okay?
I’m seeing the doctor this Monday, but honestly, they rarely explain things clearly or give much detail, so if anyone here understands these results, I would truly appreciate any insight. Thanks. Best to everyone.

It’s likely just some minor inflammation, maybe a bladder infection or something similar.
In my opinion, there’s nothing here worth losing sleep over.

I went in for a checkup because my leg joints have been acting up constantly. Here’s the breakdown: hyaline casts 3 per 10 fields, non-hyaline casts 2 with amorphous salts per 10 fields, a ton of bacteria, plenty of crystals from amorphous salts, and a lot of mucus. They prescribed me Nolicin and gave me a referral to a nephrologist. My doctor was being incredibly cryptic about everything; he just said he wanted to hear a specialist's opinion. Honestly, I'm also terrified of what the nephrologist might do during the exam, especially since I have a massive phobia of blood draws.

It sounds to me like your kidneys are the culprit here... how is your urination looking?

Andrew Lewis28 said:I’m looking for some advice or even just a sanity check from anyone who recognizes these symptoms. For a while now, I've been waking up in the early morning hours with this sharp pain in the left side of my chest. It lingers as long as I'm lying there, and the only thing that provides relief is actually getting out of bed and walking around a bit. If I stay still, the sensation is incredibly unsettling—it's enough to trigger a full-blown panic attack. Using a small home blood pressure monitor, I've noticed some bizarre readings several times; my systolic pressure usually stays within a normal range, around 110-120, but my diastolic drops down to 50-70, which isn't ideal. Even more concerning is my heart rate, which occasionally plummets to 43 bpm right when I start feeling terrible and that chest pain intensifies. I’ve already consulted two different cardiologists; one dismissed my home readings as unreliable junk, and the second ran a Holter monitor and told me everything looks perfectly fine. But it doesn't *feel* fine because these episodes keep happening. On top of that, I deal with frequent palpitations while resting, like during a quiet afternoon nap after lunch. Ironically, when I'm physically active or under exertion, I feel absolutely fantastic with zero issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you having any issues with your spine? Every single one of these symptoms points toward a spinal issue.
velvetsailor88 said:I had this sharp pain in my lower abdomen... but honestly, it’s completely gone now.

Could this be some kind of kidney issue? To me, it feels like there might be an infection brewing—though typically, when things get inflamed, the urine turns cloudy and dark, whereas here it’s just bright yellow.
Is urination infrequent?
And what about painful urination? (I can see a little bit of blood in the urine).🤷

mellowraven32 said:You've got a urinary tract infection. I assume that’s why you went in for testing in the first place.

I didn't... even though there was a bit of a stinging sensation... but it wasn't anything major. I actually had blood work done because I was checking my iron levels, and she just told me I needed to eat better.🙄
Help me out here

Cloudy urine

Protein-opalescent
Sediment shows 10-20 WBC per high power field, plus bacteria and epithelial cells

What on earth does this actually mean??

Austin Bennett793 said:For the last two months, I’ve been dealing with these headaches. They hit me for four or five days straight, lasting all day long, and then they just vanish for a few days. On top of that, for about three months now, my heart rhythm feels totally off, so I’m scheduled to wear a Holter monitor in a couple of days. My back and neck have been killing me too, so I honestly assumed the headaches were just stemming from those issues. I hadn't really let it get to me until I started digging through this forum today. One specific comment absolutely terrified me—I think the thread was about tumors. Some girl mentioned she was diagnosed with a malignant tumor and needs surgery, and that her heart rhythm was erratic, leading to moments where she’d wake up feeling completely paralyzed from the neck down for a few seconds. It hit me like a ton of bricks because I actually experienced that exact sensation once about six weeks ago; I thought I was just dreaming, but clearly, I wasn't. Now I'm spiraling, wondering if it's just my spine acting up or if I'm facing something much more sinister like a malignancy. It's the fact that such a specific symptom occurred that scares me—if it were just nausea or vomiting, I wouldn't be nearly this worried since everyone gets that alongside a headache, but this is different. I'm seeing my doctor next week. Should I be panicking...

Don't start spiraling immediately, man; you shouldn't jump straight to the worst-case scenario... seriously, don't go there.
Most likely, those headaches are coming from your cervical spine, though for your own peace of mind, it wouldn't hurt to get a CT scan of your head just to rule everything out...
It’s entirely possible that your vertebrae are putting pressure on something, which could also explain why your heart rhythm feels irregular... I went through something almost identical myself.
Listen, Sophia Moore38, those hallucinations you're describing? Most likely, they're just a byproduct of sheer exhaustion and deep-seated anxiety—it’s like your brain is redlining because the engine is running on empty. You absolutely need to sit down with a therapist to unpack all that stress, but don't stop there; you also need to get some bloodwork done at a lab to check your iron levels and see a gynecologist to rule out anything hormonal. It's about covering all your bases, from your mental state to your physical chemistry.
I don't know what kind of cryptic nonsense you're trying to pull here, but if you think dropping half-formed phrases like that is going to get a meaningful response out of me, you've got another thing coming. I deal in substance, not riddles. If there’s an actual point you’re trying to make—some observation about health, some frustration with the medical establishment, or just a thought worth weighing—then have the decency to lay it out clearly. Don't waste my time with vague snippets. Spit it out or move on. kaže:
Hey, I'm 26. I could really use some insight on this spinal MRI report. Thanks:

It’s clear from the imaging that there is visible straightening of the cervical spine's physiological lordosis—basically, that natural curve in your neck has flattened out. As far as the bone structures go, the vertebrae themselves look normal; the vertebral bodies maintain a regular height, and the intervertebral spaces appear to be well-preserved. However, there is bilateral hypertrophic transverse processes at the C7 level, which means those bony projections on the sides of your seventh vertebra have enlarged on both sides.
Based on the functional imaging, there's a clear restriction in the inclination of the C-spine, even though the dynamic segments are showing proper declination.
There is clear evidence of lumbar spinal hypolordosis. The bony structures are intact, with the vertebrae themselves appearing perfectly normal. The vertebral bodies maintain a standard height, and the intervertebral spaces remain well-preserved.
Based on the functional MRI scans, there’s a noticeable restriction in the inclination of the lumbar spine, even though the dynamic segments seem to show proper declination.

Based on your findings, there is absolutely no reason to lose sleep over this. You aren't showing any signs of disc protrusion or space narrowing, and there’s zero evidence of spinal stenosis anywhere; the only thing even remotely out of line is a minor case of hypolordosis.

The results came back, and honestly? Everything looks fine.

So, tell me—do you actually have any issues with your lower back, or is that just part of the conversation?
rapidcobra said:Hey everyone, about a month ago I caught some kind of virus—you know, the whole vomiting and diarrhea ordeal—so I had my blood drawn where
leukocyte: 9.0 (3.4 - 9.7)
LYMPH % : 6.8 (20 - 46)
NEUT % : 89.6 (44 - 72)

And everything passed, so I thought I was fine. Then my mother-in-law, who works at a hospital, did another routine blood draw for me two weeks ago and things were looking more or less okay:

leukocyte 4.7
iron 26
sedimentation after 1h 7 (4 - 24) and after two hours 21
lymphocyte 28 (20 - 46)
neutrophil granulocytes 64 (44 - 72)
monocyte 8 (2 - 19)

Then, out of nowhere, a lymph node swelled up one day, so the doctor sent me back for blood work, and here are the results:

LEUKOCYTE: 4.7 (3.4 - 9.7)
LYMPH % : 38.8 (20 - 46)
MXD% : 8.9 (2 - 19)
NEUT% : 52.3 (44 - 72)

Okay, so everything is technically within the normal range, but since I am absolutely terrified of cancer, I need to know: is it normal for my LYMPH levels to jump by 10% in just one week? Is this something I should be incredibly, incredibly, incredibly worried about?

Doctor says it's fine, but I'm still panicking. Is all of this actually good and normal? HEEEELP!!!!!!!

Don't sweat it; my lymph node has been swollen forever!
I can feel it right there...under the ear...it's totally fine.
rapidcobra said:That lymph node on the right side of my neck—right where you'd trace a line down from the jawline—is still swollen. It doesn't actually hurt or anything, but honestly, the anxiety it’s causing me is absolutely overwhelming!!!!!!!

Did you finally get over whatever it was, or are we looking at something like the flu, a recent ear infection, dental issues, or maybe just some lingering inflammation?

Jack Miller3 said:I'm trying to figure out if it's actually safe to start taking iron supplements without a doctor's go-ahead—specifically looking at Iron 100mg tablets.

Regarding an overdose, the fine print says this: If you accidentally take more than the recommended dose, consult your physician. It claims that an overdose won't lead to toxicity or iron overload because the iron in this specific ferric hydroxide polymaltose complex isn't released in a free form within the digestive tract; the body simply doesn't absorb it through passive diffusion.

So, my question is: if I just pop one tablet every single day, assuming I don't actually have anemia, am I going to end up hurting myself?

No, it won't...
But what on earth made you decide to start taking them in the first place?
