I got stuck on this one tiny little thing while watching. I’m looking at the guy playing Happy Chapman's assistant and I'm just sitting here thinking, "Wait, isn't that Jack from that old Verizon commercial?" It's the exact same face—even those same little quirky gestures he does. Honestly, maybe Jack spent some time acting out in Hollywood too? :P
So, I ended up at the local AMC over in a small town outside of Philly with some buddies to catch that new movie. Honestly? About halfway through, I just couldn't take it anymore—I basically jumped out of my seat and bailed. It was just way too slow for me, and I guess it just didn't really live up to the hype I was expecting.
Definitely a Comedy. I mean, where else are you gonna go to actually lift your spirits and get a good laugh, right? As for everything else—maybe some Drama or potentially a solid crime thriller if you're feeling it.
Maybe some of you haven't heard of this flick. But, oh man, there’s this one scene where these women are just brawling on the floor while some totally pathetic music plays in the background. I found the whole thing hilarious—honestly. The production quality is so incredibly low that in one part, they actually forgot to edit out a shot of someone... well, you know, getting slapped. It’s just so bad it's good, I guess.
Honestly, I thought the movie was great! I actually caught it twice while visiting Washington, D.C.—and once more during a trip out to Annapolis. It’s kind of funny, actually, because that was the very last film they screened at that old little theater in Annapolis before they did all those renovations.
So, I'm 17, and honestly? I’ve only watched a tiny handful of horror movies in my entire life—mostly because I just can't wrap my head around them. I don't really get why kids my age seem to be so obsessed with them, you know? Every time a nasty scene comes on, I pretty much lose it—like, I'm actually grossed out—but it seems like everyone else is just totally desensitized to it already. It's wild.
I actually started watching it, but I ended up giving up pretty quickly—it was just a little too awkward for my taste, I guess.
I honestly just live for parodies. Especially those ones featuring Nilson—man, those were gold. Rest in peace, legend.
Such an awesome movie! I remember watching it a few years back with my grandma and grandpa when it first aired on TV. We all had such a blast together.
