Quick help needed—I'm freaking out! in Health ·
I can feel something irritating my tonsil. I decided to take a look, and turns out a tiny bit of food actually got stuck right in there 😲 Is that even possible???? I mean, sure, it happened, but it’s just hard to believe. My tonsils are always enlarged, but I don't have any issues with them right now—no sore throat, nothing. How did this even happen!? I am genuinely freaked out!!! 😢 Has this ever happened to any of you? Should I be worried? Oh my god, I am literally shaking 😢
Carl Campbell3 said:If you're dealing with rashes, the issue likely stems from your diet or your stomach. Something isn't sitting right—maybe it's the specific foods, the timing, or just the amount you're eating. That's the root cause. Are you also having issues with your period?

They were clearly clueless. 👋

Thanks for the reply.😉 I had my liver enzymes checked today to make sure everything is functioning properly, and thank God, everything came back normal... but I don't really get what you mean regarding the stomach and diet. I eat the exact same things I've eaten my entire 27 years of life, so I can't see how that connects to this. And let me repeat: IT IS NOT A RASH! It's something more confusing than that. 🤷 Even my doctor is stumped, but I'm expecting results tomorrow to see if there's an allergy involved. If so, I'll move on to allergy testing.

The assumption about my period? I don't understand that at all. What kind of problem??? My cycle is regular; I have zero issues there, unless you count PMS? That’s what I was implying, honestly. 🤷 Thanks again. Best regards to you all! 😘
Dealing with hemorrhoids in Health ·
I’ve dealt with internal hemorrhoids before, and I’m still dealing with them now. 😂 You need to try Aboc Ruscoven gel. It’s the gold standard. For me, combining the gel with the tablets is the ultimate solution. Just try it. Sure, the treatment isn't cheap, but it actually worked for me. Good luck!👍
Jamie Wilson2 said:Did you switch up your detergent or fabric softener? 🤷It’s gotta be some kind of allergy...

Look, I use Tide and Downy Baby. 🤷I haven't changed that combo in two years.
fadedheron892 said:Sometimes laundry detergent is the culprit, or maybe you're just using way too much of it.

Switch brands and cut back on the amount. You'll see a difference.

I'm using Tide 😁 It could definitely be the cause, but why would it only affect these specific areas??? I'll try cutting down the dosage and running an extra rinse cycle to see if that fixes things.😉
Thanks a ton 😍
melloworca6 said:Well, he caught you red-handed. If things don't look better in two or three days, go straight back to the doctor and demand a referral to a specialist.

Exactly! 🙄 And to make it even more pathetic, the guy is supposed to be a dermatologist. 😠Unbelievable, seriously!!!
I'm just going to let this play out and see what happens. Does any of this have anything to do with PMS? A friend told me she gets breakouts right before her period, which is exactly what I deal with, and I'm in that phase right now.
What a perfect storm. ☕
melloworca6 said:Go see a doctor.

Maybe you're allergic to the dye or the fabric in your underwear? If it were something else, wouldn't the rash be all over your body instead of just where your clothes touch?

I went 😢 to the doctor because I had no clue what was happening. They said it wasn't contagious and gave me some antibiotic cream, but I refuse to believe it's an allergy. My underwear is pure cotton, my bras are too... I even iron everything! For heaven's sake! 😠
It’s not a rash, guys. It looks more like tiny red spots—kind of like those little broken capillaries you see on someone's skin sometimes. Could this be related to PMS? Does anyone know? It doesn't hurt, sting, or itch... nothing! 🤷I'm terrified it might be something serious.😢It isn't on my hands, my feet, or my back... just my torso, the outer part of my breasts, and my lower stomach—specifically the area covered by my underwear. 😕I can't believe this! I am losing my mind here. 😠Thanks so much to everyone for the replies. 👍
Anybody out there? Please! 😕
Red spots on my breasts, kind of like a rash, but the skin doesn't feel 🤷 smooth or silky down by my groin and butt area 😢😕 What on earth is this????? It doesn't itch, it doesn't burn, and it doesn't hurt at all... 🤷 Help??? 😢
Throat discomfort :( in Health ·
Charles Bennett13 said:Seriously, let me know how it goes, because I’m actually gearing up for an appointment with my ENT. It isn't even about nodules or anything like that—it's just that the texture of my thyroid feels off. I can still feel this little lump, even though it's smaller than before. Honestly, I'm trying my hardest to play it totally cool and convince myself it has absolutely nothing to do with my thyroid.

Here I am 🙂) So, I finally went in for the checkup. Tonsils enlarged—standard for me—and a red throat... blah, blah, blah. Total nonsense. They handed me a prescription for $250 and called it a day! Not a single word about the thyroid or anything else. Nothing! ☕

Charles Bennett13 said:That’s exactly how it started for me, and it turned out to be a thyroid issue. I felt like there was this lump or a knot in there. My throat didn't really hurt when I swallowed, but it was slightly red. If I were you, I’d get my thyroid checked out. Especially if that pressure seems to ebb and flow throughout the day.

I’ve tried hitting up the doctor twice now, but I always miss the window😢 because I show up right as they're closing for the day. I have two nodules on my thyroid, but I doubt that's the culprit. It doesn't hurt when I swallow; it only stings when I burp, like air is scratching that spot just below my right tonsil... what a ridiculous sensation! I have no clue what's causing this. Usually, whenever I feel pain, it's nothing specific—it could be anything at this point. :/ This doesn't feel related to my throat, and I actually thought it wasn't my thyroid too. I'll head to the clinic tomorrow and see what the doctor says. Peace!

brisksurfer said:How long does this thing last? Are you actually letting it happen? And how old are you, anyway?

It lasts a few days... basically just whenever I burp.
"Are you talking about smoking?" Are you kidding me? Do you think I smoke? I don't get it, even though I am a smoker. I'm 27. 🤷

Lawrence Bishop34 said:Ugh, I’ve got this weird discomfort on the right side just below my tonsils. There isn't any visible swelling, but my throat looks a bit red. It’s not even a typical sharp pain or burning sensation—it’s more like this constant pressure that hits me most often whenever I have acid reflux. 🙄 Honestly, it feels stupid to go see an ENT over this, especially since I’m already constantly at the doctor's office dealing with my chronic sinus issues. Why bother? Does anyone actually know what this could be??? What am I looking at here? Heeeeelp!!! This is starting to freak me out. 🙂 Thanks in advance!

Anyone???? pls! 😢((
Dealing with Pityriasis rosea? in Health ·
Nicholas Myers said:Here it is—the very first patient I saw in dermatology during my medical school rotations had this exact diagnosis.

A few things to keep in mind: Pityriasis typically lasts about 4 to 6 weeks on average, though it can stretch to 3 or even 4 months in rare cases (some medical texts even suggest it can linger for 6 months or longer). However, if the skin lesions haven't cleared up after that 3-month mark, there is legitimate reason to suspect we might be looking at something else entirely. There are several conditions that mimic Pityriasis rosea quite closely. 🧐

I’m not sure when your last dermatology appointment was, but I’d strongly recommend seeking a second opinion. Be sure to tell them exactly how long these symptoms have been persisting. That duration should be enough reason for them to run more extensive tests to confirm the diagnosis and rule out other possibilities. In my view, you need to ask the dermatologist to be definitive: is this truly Pityriasis rosea? And if it is, what on earth is making it so stubborn? 🙂

In the meantime, watch your habits. Avoid wearing unwashed clothes or anything straight from a store without laundering it first. If you pull something out of the back of your closet that hasn't been worn in a while, wash it again—make sure it's thoroughly rinsed of detergent and ironed. When you sweat, dry your skin immediately to prevent further irritation. Try to limit soap and gel usage, avoid frequent showers, and skip the baths if possible. Stick to water where you can. Don't use abrasive towels, don't scrub your skin, and stick to neutral creams and lotions. I assume you've heard all of this already, yet the condition continues to plague you regardless. 🙂

So, the only real advice I have is this: see a dermatologist. Again and again. 🧐

To the gentleman above: I have already "swapped" through three different dermatologists, and they all reached the same conclusion—it really is rosea. Let me give you the full breakdown of what I've tried:
Dermatologist 1—prescribed Sinoderm. I did everything you mentioned: no soap, using a soft towel to pat dry...
Dermatologist 2—Ornazol shampoo and some vitamin cream custom-made at a local pharmacy.
Dermatologist 3—Esperson Mite.
Since absolutely nothing worked, I switched to Aderma products. It helped slightly, but not completely. When I say it helped, I mean the eruption isn't as aggressive as it used to be.
What I have noticed is that it flares up whenever I sweat. And man, do I sweat. I have a two-year-old boy, so life is basically constant hyperactive chaos...
As for unwashed clothes, unironed stuff, or old seasonal clothes sitting in the closet? I haven't had any issues like that! Never!
But today, I stumbled upon an article about a similar issue called Erythrasma. I've never heard of it before, but honestly? I think that might be it! It doesn't sting, it doesn't itch, and it doesn't hurt—it just looks terrible aesthetically!
It baffles me how none of those doctors even considered this or even suspected it! 🤷
The only thing they all agreed on was that it would eventually pass on its own, whether treated or not. 😕So, I’m left with zero options. Either I sit around and wait, or I try to corner one of my doctors and shove the idea of Erythrasma in their face as a potential culprit. What else am I supposed to do? Thanks for the input. Best,

😠 My baby has been dealing with this for 6 months, maybe even longer... I've seen doctors, but they haven't helped me at all. I ended up throwing out every single product I bought because nothing worked. Right now, I'm just using some Adermine stuff; it helped a tiny bit, but the issue isn't gone. 😳 Has anyone else dealt with this annoying virus? Let me know!
