Maybe they got a little lucky, or maybe more like the Danes were just terrified, but we weren't really there tonight.
Our defense lacked focus, our offense wasn't sharp, and our goalies were just off.
If things had been even slightly balanced, nobody could have saved them from losing.
They were just better, I guess. We have to admit that.

We actually looked better for maybe 20 minutes of the game, but the Danes had them for the other 40.
The only reason we even stood a chance at catching up late was because they completely lost their cool and started making unforced errors.

I guess I'm just bummed we didn't grab the gold to round out the medal collection. But man, they gave it everything they had. Their hearts were willing, even if their bodies just wouldn't cooperate anymore.

We can't keep playing like this.
I guess we're just too stagnant on offense, and our defense is all over the place—honestly, fatigue is probably catching up to us.
Our goalies aren't doing much either, so if they don't shape up in the second half, a win is probably out of reach.

It’s our first time playing in the finals, so I guess I won't be too crushed if we end up losing.
With all the injury issues we've dealt with, making it this far is huge. It would just be a shame to miss out on gold and not let this group finish their trophy run.

Anyway, both sides are definitely going to bring the hunger and the talent.

The only thing worrying me is how exhausted the players are.
Anyone who has been totally drained—physically and mentally—knows exactly what I mean.
Your head might be ready, but sometimes your body just stops listening to your brain.
We saw that yesterday when Ivano, Pero, Lac, Kina, and Vori hit that wall.

But there is still reason to be optimistic. Davor was incredible yesterday, and since Tonci and Denis are feeling the fatigue, our defense should actually hold up.
Mirko still owes us one after yesterday.

Let's just give everything we've got today, then celebrate tonight.

Dominikovic is easily our MVP right now—he’s absolutely killing it on defense, and he's getting some great support from Valcic and Spoljaric. I think Peter is finally finding his rhythm too; if we can just pick up the pace a bit, we might actually take this today.
The US needs to shut down their corner, and Mirko really needs to start neutralizing those shots from Narciss. They keep aiming for the exact same spot, that bottom right corner.

If we can just grind out these last 30 minutes, I guess we have a real shot at winning this one.
