The Spaniards really only showed some actual teeth in two games during this whole tournament, honestly. They scraped by Iceland by a single point and managed to edge out Yugoslavia by just two, so there is absolutely no way they are actually this much better than us.

The real kicker is whether our guys have enough gas left in the tank. Based on how that first half looked, I’m leaning toward no, but hey, let's not get ahead of ourselves and lose hope just yet because nothing is set in stone. If they can just keep their cool and play steady, we're fine—the main goal is already checked off, so there's zero reason to start sweating or getting worked up.

I caught both of those Germany games and honestly, they didn't blow me away at all, since they were practically sweating through their shirts just to get past Yugoslavia and France, which are pretty much the only two heavy hitters in this mix anyway. And look, I’m not gonna jump on the bandwagon like Božo and claim they aren't gassed out, because they definitely struggled big time to reach the Final, especially considering their path was twice as easy as ours or the French guys.

If we end up dropping this one, then we’ll be heading straight into a scrap with France, but if you ask me, those guys look absolutely spent.
