Looking for a specialist... in Health ·
Ashley Perez50 said:I actually went to see Cabrijan once myself, and honestly, the issue hasn't gone away at all... I was really hoping to book another appointment with her, but she’s completely booked out for the next six months. 😢

And then I just don't know...🤷

Just order it and wait... what's the damage anyway? It’s not like the problem is just going to fix itself overnight.

She ended up helping both my mom and my coworker from the office... and honestly, they both spent half their lives bouncing between doctors all over the country just to get anything sorted out.

Zlatko Kovačević-Čabrijan over at the Belvedere...

She finally sorted out an issue that nobody in either Chicago or RI could touch for two whole years... not in the big hospitals or even the private clinics...

I get that they all went to the same schools and studied the same stuff, but clearly, not everyone is born with that same kind of instinct...

But hey, you try...

it’s basically prime time for someone to drag out the whole Schumacher versus Ayrton Senna debate again, or start obsessing over Schumacher's podium celebrations, or whatever other tired trope comes up ☕

Look, we all remember those celebrations just fine...😢😢😢

And honestly, that's exactly why I always found Schumi pretty obnoxious👎

You've seriously never heard of Ayrton Senna???

I can't even believe this😲😲😲

Like, what are you even doing hanging out in this thread then???

The guy was the absolute king of wet races. They used to call him the Rain men. A Brazilian legend. World Champion.

He passed away on May 1st, 1994, at Imola during the Tamburello corner...

Good grief, people, where have you been living???😲😲😲

Honestly, give me a break... you people call yourselves F1 fans? I feel like I need to sit you all down and give you a lecture like you're some random forty-year-old auntie who doesn't know her way around a track...

Anniversary of the passing of Ayrton Senna😢😢😢

Does anyone else here actually remember which anniversary we're celebrating tomorrow?😢
Dealing with hemorrhoids in Health ·
Dennis Johnson79 said:so I had a colonoscopy less than a year ago. The results were basically "neatly messy." Like, everything looks fine—no signs of tumors, no polyps, no damage, not even hemorrhoids... but there’s this trace amount of blood and nobody can figure out where it’s coming from. I went for follow-up tests on my small intestine, and those came back totally normal too. Everything is consistently "fine" on paper, yet the problems persist. So, I switched to a super mild diet—cutting out ALL carbonated drinks, spicy stuff, anything roasted in the oven, etc.—and started chugging water (about 2 liters a day), and since then, things have actually improved drastically. No issues at all. At least up until now.

The only real change is that my stools aren't narrow anymore, and the pain is slightly, marginally less intense. It might be the diet, since I moved to a bland, mostly liquid-based thing. Honestly, I’m not planning on seeing a doctor again because, frankly, the whole system is EVIL. I've bounced between four different doctors for the exact same issue, and I just don't trust them anymore. That's why I'm hanging out here on the forum, trying to figure everything out myself... I read up on symptoms on medical sites, but the forum is where you get the real deal through other people's experiences. There isn't a single person in the world who is the ONLY one suffering from something, so you can always find solid help here from people who've been there—help that's ten times better than some doctors who haven't a clue, especially in my city, let alone where I'm from.

So, the symptoms I'm dealing with now are still pretty much the same—pain deep inside the large intestine area, specifically when straining or having a bowel movement. No cramps. No blood. No nausea. Stools are soft, and it's a bit of a struggle to go, but at least they aren't thin like they were at the start. No burning sensation either. It’s just this dull ache, almost like I took a hit to the gut, though I definitely didn't.

And then,🤷🤷🤷

Lisa Castillo, you gotten any results yet? Don't drag your feet on this—you gotta just go in so you actually know what you're dealing with. If you need some pointers, let me know.

I had my colonoscopy done about three weeks ago.

Dennis Johnson79 said:I’ve been scrolling through this thread for a while now, but I haven't really stumbled upon my specific symptoms—at least not described quite like mine. So, I'm honestly not sure if we're dealing with hemorrhoids here or something else entirely, but I could really use some help.

So, here’s the deal: about two days ago, out of nowhere, I started feeling this pain right above my backside. It’s not an external thing, though; it feels internal. And I'm not talking about that typical "scraping" sensation or a burning feeling people usually talk about... it's more of this dull, heavy ache, almost like I took a blunt hit there, even though I didn't. The pain isn't constant, but it definitely flares up depending on how I'm positioned, and it gets way worse when I'm straining or, you know, trying to take a massive dump. I should probably mention that the actual process is absolutely brutal—like someone said before, it feels like you're trying to pass a whole pineapple. It's not the stool passing through the colon itself that hurts, but rather that dull throb whenever I have to push or strain. This might sound a little ridiculous, but if I get into a certain position while on the toilet (kind of like a Kama Sutra move, haha), the pain eases up enough that I can actually get it over with.

There's no blood in my stool. And obviously, everything is soft, because if it weren't, I don't think anything would be able to make its way out. The passage feels narrow, too, so I'm guessing there might be some kind of obstruction going on.

So, is this just an internal hemorrhoid, or could it be something else altogether?

Someone mentioned that hemorrhoids usually settle down overnight, but I barely slept a wink last night because certain random positions while sleeping triggered the pain so sharply it woke me right up.

Man, seriously, go see a doctor... you shouldn't mess around with this stuff...

Narrow stools and pain...😢

You can totally get a gastroscopy done under anesthesia. I actually went through a colonoscopy myself recently, and honestly? It was a dream. You don't remember a single thing about it.

And you aren't dealing with any other weird symptoms—like, say, being backed up for a few days and then suddenly having loose stools for a bit, or dealing with cramps and losing weight?

If none of that extra stuff is happening, it’s honestly probably just stress or you're hitting the coffee way too hard.
Amalgam issues: what are your thoughts? in Health ·
I honestly don't get why everyone is getting so worked up and starting these massive flame wars. If people actually want to eat their Amalcap Plus amalgam—fine, be my guest. Personally, I went ahead and had them all swapped out last summer. I mean, yeah, it ended up costing me about $1000 in total, but hey, it was my call to make.
Dealing with chronic pain for 4 years in Health ·
I’ve been dealing with something pretty similar for about two years now, and honestly, it’s been a total merry-go-round with doctors just passing me from one specialist to the next. About a week ago, I was over in Washington, D.C. getting a colonoscopy done at CVS Health, and since everything came back totally clear, they started suspecting endometriosis and are sending me off for a pelvic MRI.

Maybe try bringing that up with your doctor.

Just a heads-up though, endometriosis usually doesn't show up on an ultrasound, and sometimes you can't even see it on an MRI. The only way to be absolutely sure is through a laparoscopy.😢
