Alright, I'll give it a shot. Whatever. As soon as you posted this, it made me think of birds. Specifically the struggle between a crow and a falcon. Most people have heard the story, but honestly, it’s more than just some fable—it’s how things actually work. If you look at a crow and compare it to human nature, you’d say they’re stingy, annoying, vengeful, and rude. Plus, they love to steal. If any of you ever had one hanging around your yard, you know they'll snatch up anything shiny🤣but I'll be the first to admit they're smart and know how to look out for themselves. A falcon, though? That's the king of predators. Wise, elegant, and poised. In that whole crow versus falcon conflict where the crow is defending its turf, it’ll dive at the falcon mid-flight, pecking and flapping its wings to try and knock it down. It just keeps harassing the bird, but the falcon doesn't even flinch. Once the crow gets exhausted, it ends up landing right on the falcon's back. Even then, the falcon stays calm; it just spreads its wings and climbs higher. The higher it goes, the more the crow panics, loses control, and just falls off its back... sometimes it recovers, but usually, it just drops.
I don't know. Birds are like people. You've got your crows and your falcons. Some people fight, others just spread their wings and fly.🙂
There you go, since you mentioned it. But don't count me in for any contests.😉
I haven't heard that one before, and eagles are my absolute favorite birds. I guess falcons are in the same family or something.
I really liked your story. 🙂
Everyone's going to vote, obviously. Thanks for sharing.🙂
Crow's Eye, now I'm not sure if it's a crow, a raven, or a magpie... I can't tell them apart. I just read one Native American legend about a tribe whose totem it was. It refers to that big, powerful black bird, not the ones with black and white feathers.
The legend is about how it's a wise bird that saved their people. I've always liked Native American stories, so I dig this one.
