Hope this new season treats you all pretty well.
We had a bit of a shakeup there—like, we actually felt the ground move—but it wasn't like some government project building a skyscraper or anything, so I guess everything is fine, thank God.

Freedom for the people! 🙂

So, who was actually doing the construction, the old colonialists? 😁

We felt the tremors, but since it wasn't some government-built project that crumbled, we're doing just fine—thank God.

Always, amen. ☕

Honestly, it would have been much more disappointing if you were living in a building put up by the federal government. 😳

I was just reading through this. Honestly, the priest was just trying to perform a thorough exorcism on the sinner. I really don't get why the husband got so worked up about it. 😁

Peace of God, Christ is born, brothers and sisters!

I just finished sending my holiday greetings to my fellow believers in real life, so I figured it was only right to wish you all the very best as well.

What's up, everyone? What's the word?

When is something actually going to blow up on this forum again—you know, something that requires more than two lines of actual commentary? 🤣

Can I finally start gossiping and stirring the pot? I’ve been way too well-behaved for far too long! 🎉

So, I'm sitting here re-reading some film analysis PDFs today because I just finished watching Tenet, and I figured I'd take a look at what people are saying.

It’s always the same routine: everyone lays out perfectly valid reasons why a movie is garbage—how it's sterile, overstimulating, and just an emotionally hollow piece of trash—and then some "distinguished" member chimes in with, "Actually, it's brilliant because of the meta-meta-whatever," and suddenly everyone starts singing in unison about how much of a masterpiece it is. 🎉

I swear, I was practically screaming at my screen. 🤣

Anyway, I'm gonna go see what else is happening around here. Looks like I'm officially ready to get worked up over absolutely nothing again. 🎉

Wait, so you're telling me Tenet isn't actually a good movie?

I tend to trust my sources who have seen it, and they say it isn't.
Perhaps I'll give it a watch eventually; it's not as if I only stick to the masterpieces.

This movie is just Nolan's way of showing off.
I ran into some similar themes in the novel Hyperion, so I didn't have to strain my brain too much trying to grasp the core concept. That said, the character motivations are a total disaster—honestly, the main villain's motive is so poorly handled it’s almost laughable.
Nolan claims it took him ten years to turn his ideas into something coherent. Well, mission accomplished, I guess. 🤣

The only people actually hyping this film up are Nolan's immature fans who would probably tell him his garbage smells like roses.

You really have to sit through this thing a few times just to let all the pieces settle in your head.
I’ve been seeing people say you need to watch it multiple times to actually get it, so I guess I'm doing that tonight.

I've seen people suggesting a rewatch to catch what was missed. I suppose I'll give it another shot tonight.

I don't follow—what do you mean, a rewatch?

that’s exactly why you just don't get the whole concept of entropy and objects moving backward through time

Tenet is Tenet, even when it's running in reverse

@ironranger67, seriously, you hit the nail on the head. I’m honestly done. If I ever catch myself sitting through another one of Nolan's ego trips, just slap me. He spends all this time trying to act like he’s being profound and elevated, but in reality? It’s just anemic, flat, and completely lifeless in every way a movie is supposed to feel. Honestly, if he finds a topic that actually interests him, he should just write a damn blog post about it instead of pretending he can turn it into some cinematic masterpiece. 🐔

Nicholas Watson, don't even start with that crap. 🤣🙏
