Finally, the voting actually feels legit. I’m sitting this one out, thoughβ€”pretty sure my IQ is north of 10 😳

I swear, I had so much potential back in the day... all my teachers and coaches through middle and high school kept telling me the same thing, but honestly, between my weird personality and some questionable life choices, I just completely blew it over the years.
Oh well, it is what it is.β˜•

Believe it or not, I actually hold my own in certain situationsβ€”I’d even give myself a solid 9 there. However, my tendency to miscalculate things and rely too heavily on others drags me down to a 3, which brings my overall average to a 6. But hey, πŸ™„ based on some past experiences, I can push it to a 7, though that’s really my absolute ceiling πŸ™‚

E: I think things are just getting crowded in the eighth grade, or maybe it's just my relentless three-pointer acting up β˜•

I consider myself pretty sharp because I’ve actually built something of a life for myself, even though I had every advantage to just become some total alpha type.
I spend a lot of time reflecting and working on myself, and I honestly think my EQ is through the roof.
Plus, people at work have told me all the time that I should go into politics because I can sense exactly what people want to hear; I'm well-spoken and can slide out of awkward or heavy situations without breaking a sweat.
I've even taken those IQ tests before and did pretty well 😁

High emotional intelligence, being well-spoken, being confident enough to lie, manipulation, narcissism, and political leaningsβ€”these are basically the textbook traits used to identify psychopaths. πŸ˜‰

Where on earth did you just crawl out from?🍿

Out of the ocean, just like everyone else. 😁

So, what's the move? Any big game fish out there, or maybe just some decent snapper for the grill?🍿

There’s gotta be something decent out there somewhere, but honestly? I’m more of a BBQ guy myself. πŸ™‚

So, what, you went to med school to become a psychiatrist just so you could throw diagnoses around like candy?🍿

So what if I am? Is that really such a big deal? 😁

Nah, it's fine. We're all here to help each other out, so you might as well get a free diagnosis while you're at it. β˜•

Zachary Bennett said:Look, we aren't exactly running a full-blown clinic here, so the least I can do is give you a diagnosis pro bono.β˜•

Having a few personality quirks doesn't mean you have a clinical diagnosis. This person just wrote a massive amount about herself in a tiny little post, and it caught my eye because it hits right on what I do for a living. I’m not sitting here claiming she’s a psychopath; I’m just pointing out that she basically described herself as one. 😁

I wasn't out here playing doctor or diagnosing anyone as a psychopathβ€”I was just pointing out that she literally described herself that way. 😁

And what exactly is this "expertise" of yours? 🍿

In this case, we're talking about psychologyβ€”basically the science of behavior and the mind. And no, I'm not going to start handing out diagnoses to anyone. πŸ˜‰

Bummer, I actually wanted to hear more perspectives on this.πŸ•Ί

Anyway, what brings you to the off-topic section? How'd you end up wandering into this corner of the internet?🍿

I can always give an opinion, but making actual diagnoses is a much more complicated process. 😁

Can't say for sure, just a bunch of random stuff happening at onceβ€”including the fact that I was mindlessly scrolling to the bottom of the page and didn't feel like scrolling back up. 😡

shadowhawk12 said:Look, I can give my two cents anytime, but making actual diagnoses? That’s a whole different beast. 😁

I can't tell you exactly why, it was just a weird mix of thingsβ€”mostly because I was mindlessly scrolling to the bottom of the page and honestly, I just couldn't be bothered to scroll back up. 😡

But seriously, why even use a forum? It's not like there's a bunch of patients stuck in isolation right now for you to go hunting for.🀣

Whatever, man.🍿

Get real, man.🍿

I personally think there's never been a bigger pool of potential patients, but then again, I don't actually work with them. 😁

Is it actually true that in this day and age, all this constant pushing for "individualism" has basically just turned narcissists into the new average Joe? Like, is everyone just a self-absorbed mess now?
Do we actually see more extroverts or introverts when it comes to people dealing with personality disorders? 🍿
