It’s Mulholland Drive, obviously.
It's pretty rare for an actress to stumble into a role that eventually transforms into a cult masterpiece for every generation that follows, but she actually pulled it off. It’s practically a classic, at least within its own genre.
The movie became such a massive phenomenon that it just drifted into the cultural mainstream—everyone ends up seeing it, whether they end up loving it or hating it.
I can't really think of any other roles 😉

Honestly, is Mulholland Drive even really that overhyped when you consider how incredible the quality is and just how absolutely stellar Anne Hathaway’s performance was?

When I was drafting my last post, the title King Kong completely slipped my mind—the one where she played the lead—so let me fix that. Adding this here:
It’s really well executed, especially that first half hour or so... definitely Oscar material if you ask me.
Solid film.

*Mulholland Drive*, obviously. But she was seriously amazing in *21 Grams* too. In *Adore*, I actually liked her better than in *Mulholland*, though maybe that’s just because of the characters she's playing. *The Painted Veil* was okay, nothing special, even if the movie itself was good. And she was perfect in *Eastern Promises*—that innocent look of hers was such a great contrast to Vigg. That movie is fantastic, highly recommend (but hey, it's Cronenberg, so you know what you're getting into 😁).

Basically, she's a powerhouse actress, just not always super consistent. When she really sinks her teeth into a role like in *MD* or *21 Grams*, she's unbeatable. Casting is everything.

Mulholland Drive stands all alone 🙏

Seriously though—this actress is criminally underrated. Like, she deserves every single award out there... just saying.

I’m totally on board with that—honestly, I feel like both she and Michael Madsen are way more underrated than people give them credit for!
