Why on earth are you guys even looking for an excuse?
A loss is a loss, plain and simple.
Nobody gives a damn about who was in the minority or why the kids had to hold the line, or if the away trip was banned or whatever... all that stuff gets forgotten anyway.
I heard quite a few people headed down there despite the bans, so things are probably going to get messy once the courts and the legal system in the States get involved... you might want to set aside a little cash just in case.
We all know exactly who trashed the group, so stop looking everywhere else and point the finger at the real culprit.

What a lot of people are missing here is just how massive this actually is. This group traveled to a huge city with a massive following specifically to provoke them and show them exactly how it's done. Even if the group is struggling right now, pulling something like this off is commendable—it's the kind of thing any real fan would respect. It’s the kind of thing people in Mexico, in Canada, or the rest of Europe can only dream about.

The people with actual brains see it that way. The majority, however, will always be those internet squirrels who don't have a clue what they're talking about.

I hope everyone who was down there is doing alright. As for the Mexicans and the rest of them, I don't doubt this will come back to haunt them, and they already know it.

The reality is the Deli weren't in Chicago and the BBB weren't in Belgrade—they met on neutral ground. And on that neutral ground, you guys actually came out on top, not at our place. That’s what neutral ground means.

The same deal was made for the Olympiacos vs. Dinamo match, so they went. You get it now, or do I need to spell it out?
So you're trying to tell me the Deli would have shown up if Olympiacos was playing Khazar from Lenkoran? How can you call it a neutral site when you're traveling right alongside the local group? Stop talking nonsense...

Huge respect to the Boys who made the trip. Hope everyone's doing alright.

You never show up in small groups—you know, what, fifty people? No, you wait until you have a few hundred in a tight formation. That’s the only way to prevent an ambush... but you lot just won't do it. Absolute cowards!!!

Aaron Sanchez422 said:Haha, now they're out here telling lies! Claiming it was a "neutral site"? If you think playing in Piraeus, Greece, counts as a neutral ground, then you’re absolutely delusional.

Come on, man, don't embarrass yourself. How "neutral" does a venue actually have to be? The brawl didn't even happen outside the Gat 7 Fan Club or right in front of Karaiskakis Stadium—it went down at the Athens airport!

When you're in a foreign country, both the Boys and the Cigans are basically on their own. The fact that they have that brotherly bond with Gat 7, or that the Boys have some kind of partnership with Gat 13, didn't change a single thing about yesterday's chaos. It looks like there were hardly any Greeks around, or if there were, they barely stepped in to help... It was just them against them, and look at the result: half the Boys who happened to be there ended up in the hospital.

History has shown that after any major online meltdown, the discourse over the next 48 hours usually ends up being complete garbage. It’s probably smarter to just lock the forum down for a few days.

Yeah, that was 2011, but you’re forgetting that was an international match—the kind of game that gets Americans all worked up. And as far as I know, the Cigans don't usually show up to Greek national team games.😁

The Boys have this little habit of hunting down the Cigans in places where they know they won't be. In 2011, during that US vs. Greece match, they were scouring Piraeus looking for them. Then back in 2009, during the match against Timisoara in Timisoara, they were calling out the Deli:

The American equivalent would be like if the Cigans went to a small town in the Midwest back in 2008 and started singing and taunting the Boys.

This time around, the Boys weren't even calling them out, because everyone knows dozens of them show up to every single Olympiacos Champions League match. So why wouldn't they show up to this one when there were hundreds of them? They showed up, spent days looking for a scrap with the Boys and Gat 13, and finally managed to pull off an action that sent the other side straight to the hospital...

Until the next showdown and a chance for payback, all we can say is that in their first real duel after the war, the Cigans literally swept the floor with the Boys.

Or take the 2009 game against Timisoara in Timisoara, where they were practically begging for the Deli to show up:

In American terms, it would be like if some local gang went to a small town in rural Nebraska in 2008 just to start singing songs and looking for a fight with the locals.

This time, the Boys weren't calling them out because everyone knows they turn up in droves at every Olympiacos Champions League match. So why wouldn't they show up for this one when hundreds of them showed up last time? They did show up, spent days looking for trouble with the Boys and Gat 13, and eventually managed to pull off something that sent the other side straight to the hospital...

Until the next rematch and the chance for payback, all we can say is that in the first real showdown after the war, the Cigan crowd basically swept the floor with the Boys.

Short, sweet, and hits the nail right on the head. That’s just how life works—when you act like a clown and provoke people, they eventually come back for you. It’s just a shame the reckoning hit the wrong people instead of the guys posting here on the forum. The reality is there were more Mexicans in Athens than there were Boys. I’m not trying to rub it in by saying it's better to have 10 real ones than 5,000 fake followers, but even those famous Thomas subgroups were the start of all this insane division, where you couldn't even get three guys together for a drink without someone having beef with someone else. Honestly, getting knocked down a peg isn't a bad thing; it’s actually a solid foundation for a fresh start, provided you actually learn from your mistakes.

Do you honestly believe the police at the border would just let the Deli cruise into the US for the first game? Don't be so naive. And you guys were down there with the PAOK fans too. Now I can say it myself: you guys were basically playing on home turf.

It’s just a shame that justice didn't land on those who deserve it, but rather on the people on this forum instead. The reality is that more people from Mexico showed up in Athens than the Boys did. I won't dwell on it, but isn't it better to have 100 real supporters than 5,000 posers? Even those famous subgroups created by Thomas started this era of madness where you couldn't even get three guys together because everyone was too busy fighting each other. Being knocked down to earth isn't necessarily bad; it can be a solid foundation for a fresh start if you actually learn from your mistakes.

It’s honestly much pathetic how some of our own "people" are using this to settle scores within their own group. It's way worse than those random trolls online. I refuse to even compare the two.

We expect them to enjoy this, mess around, and fight on the internet, but to see "our own" using this as ammunition against their own group? I can't believe it. It's sick. Truly, deeply sick. You people are unwell. If the numbers were different and the outsiders had stayed home, you'd be the first ones posting aggressive Facebook statuses and causing trouble... but instead, you're attacking the small group of people who actually stood their ground and took the hits.
"jebiga Thomas," "Look at the real fans now," "They should have gone to the games"... honestly, where is your sense of shame?

I can't find the words to describe how twisted this is. This is disturbed behavior. There are people in psychiatric wards right now, yet here you are on an American forum claiming this is a "good foundation for a new start." How is it even possible for someone to think like that?

I’m a Partizan supporter, and honestly, I’m staying neutral here because that’s how things should work—not having some guy spread misinformation based on "reliable" sources (which, if you ask me, is just his buddy Cigan, who clearly doesn't even know two of the Boys, three from Gat 13, or those two from Gat 7 who were actually right there in the thick of it). I’d probably ban him myself if I had the power... but I guess you guys enjoy having him around so you can use his nonsense to claim all Americans beat people up. 🙂
I’ll try my best to give an objective take based strictly on what’s online and what I know about our scene.

First off, props to them for showing up despite the ban... but look, there’s a massive difference between traveling to Belgrade or Chicago under a ban versus heading to Athens. I’d bet my life on it that it’s way harder to pull off a trip to Chicago (especially for our guys) or Belgrade (for your fans) even without a ban, compared to Athens. You couldn't realistically expect two hundred Cigans to be roaming the streets of Chicago; they wouldn't even make it past the outskirts. I don't know what the Greek police or customs are doing—there’s zero prevention or serious oversight. It was a high-risk situation. I guarantee you over 100 BBB slipped in despite the ban, along with even more Cigans who just increase the risk. Honestly, I doubt there would have been any raids or arrests if those 40 Cigans hadn't robbed a construction site and caused a scene that finally alerted the cops. If that had happened, things might have actually gotten interesting—maybe we would've seen the showdown we were all expecting between Gat 13 and BBB against Gat 7 and DS.

Someone mentioned that the Cigans wouldn't have gone if a large, organized Torcida had shown up... but then again, they go to Athens whenever anyone travels there (when Olympiacos plays, not the Greek national team), mostly because that's when their brothers actually need the help. And they already clashed when things were organized. They attacked Turks right in the middle of Istanbul; they lost a guy, but they didn't lose the fight.

The clash at the airport... man, I have to emphasize the current reality of the power balance here. The Boys are in bad shape and facing huge issues; they don't have much money back home, so they can't really gather in significant numbers for away games anymore. It pains me to admit it, but the Cigans—or the "Northern Army," as they've started calling themselves lately for good reason—are incredibly organized and strong right now. They’ve turned their stadium presence into an art form; everything is coordinated, they're almost always armed, they show up in huge numbers, and every move is planned to perfection.
I buy this story that ten of them baited the Boys and then the rest jumped in, because that’s how they outmaneuvered our Hunters and, much to my regret, took the best transit route in the South, which I still haven't recovered from. 🙂 Seeking revenge through Torcida might do something, but BBB will have a hard time anytime soon unless you root out the core problems. I mean, they're always ready for anything... we aren't even ready for HH yet. 😉

Going back to the bridge... that video where this guy says how they're lying there and yells "leave me, guys!" Man, I feel for every single one of them. Even though he's American, mad respect to those guys; if they stayed, it means they held the line as long as they possibly could. Everyone posting here, put yourselves in their shoes—what would you have done? I was in a similar spot against Cigans who were acting on orders, and I didn't stay. We were unarmed and they were geared up to the teeth. We regrouped later and won that fight. So, I'll say it again: respect to everyone. As for those who left them behind, I get it, really. We all know what can happen to you if you fall in a supporter clash in America... not to mention how many people have died back home. Because of that, I don't believe there were knives involved given how many Partizan supporters were stabbed; I highly doubt the Americans would have survived it, but hey, I wasn't down there.

There aren't any "brotherly" fans over in Romania... you guys had your chance when the Cigans played in Canada, and then recently, something crazy happened near Chicago. They showed up right despite the bans, damn it... and I was in Timisoara myself, and it’s not exactly right next door to Belgrade, is it? It makes zero sense for anyone to travel all that way just to hunt you down. People went there because it was supposed to be a massive clash between four rival groups who absolutely hate each other.

75 Cigans against 25 Boys—you guys really have something to brag about, especially with how you used whatever tools you had at hand😁 Talk about a bunch of tough guys without a single screwdriver or a gold chain in sight, thinking they're going somewhere big.😁

Who actually counted the people in that fight? I mean, you look at the video and there aren't even that many Cigans visible. Plus, you can clearly see a pretty heavily armed group of BBB right up in the front lines, and they're actually the ones backing off when 4 or 5 Cigans charge them from the other side of the bridge.

Maybe someone would actually win one for once..

Man, I really told myself I wasn't going to get bogged down in these topics. Back when I was working in Paris, my best colleague and friend was this guy from the Midwest, plus I had two female friends from back home, and honestly, I can't tell you who was a better person than the other. I don't hold any kind of grudge against you guys. Look, I'm a patriot, I love my country and my people, but I don't go around thinking we're somehow superior to anyone else. Well, except for those guys from the Middle East, obviously... 🙂 just kidding... or am I? 🙂

So fine, you guys are the great warriors and we clearly aren't. Seriously though, kudos on Operation Liberty—it was a masterfully executed move, even if it was technically against the breakaway republic rather than the whole country. It seems like the administration made sure everything was set with the leadership in Belgrade to ensure there wouldn't be outside interference, and if you look at the leaked transcripts, that's exactly what happened. You managed to push them out, bravo. When we did something similar in Mexico, the whole world basically rained fire on us.

I won't get into the history books, because apparently you guys are the legendary fighters and we're just nothing. It just confuses me how you all welcomed the military into Washington, D.C. back in 1918 almost like they were welcoming Hitler in '45 🙂 okay, maybe not with quite that much fanfare, but with plenty of smiles and handshakes 🙂. I don't recall us ever having the chance to give you a warm welcome like that in return 😉.

Since I seriously doubt you have enough IQ to grasp the subtext here—let me spell it out for you: THERE IS A LOT OF SARCASM INVOLVED AND EVERY SINGLE QUESTION IN THIS POST IS RHETORICAL. 🙂
