Don't even ask. Yesterday was one of those days that I don't even know how to describe. π
Rough morning. I knocked out two exams and squeezed in rehearsals with my two students beforehand. Basically spent an hour at the music academy for something that should have taken me twenty minutes tops.
An hour break, then back at it from 10:30 to 1:00 for two more tests and another exam. Just what my day needed.
A thirty-minute break. I spent it working with a flute student who has her big exam next week. No rest for the wearyβmy other student is coming in next, and I already went off on her like a drill sergeant. π
Half an hour into my break, and my student walks in all smiles, telling me sheβs finally finished with Beethoven. We get started, and turns out she actually knocked out the latest Chopin piece. π³ These are the exact kinds of situations that get under my skin. Honestly, Iβd almost prefer if she just admitted she hadn't hit the gym once all week. π
Forty-five minutes left of break. Some kid just told me her older sister warned her not to work out at home, otherwise "the curse" would fall on their house. So, naturally, she only sticks to gym class. π
And then they throw two more quick tests at you without even giving you a breather.
Running home right now because I managed to forget my keys for the choir rehearsal spot. Iβve been hunting for them like a total maniac, but no luck. Honestly, Iβll just head there without them since one of the other ladies has a spare. Rehearsal goes until 9:00, followed by gossip until 9:30, then beers until 11:00. My ride showed up to pick me up, but I haven't even eaten lunch or dinner yet. I haven't actually been home all day, and after wasting the entire day searching, I feel like Iβve accomplished absolutely nothing. π
Don't forget, that wasn't even my scheduled Thursday. On a normal week, I have nothing going on except choir rehearsal in the evening. This whole thing was completely unhinged. β

I have a cat. Her name is Cabbage. She eats flowersβspecifically lilies, mimosa, and primroses. π
The neighbor's dog is out there grazing on the lawn and dragging branches around like he owns the place. Honestly, if I actually had a wood-burning stove, Iβd just send him straight into the woods to fetch the logsβweβd have enough fuel for the whole winter. π₯³
So, Friday's finally here. Now what? β
