So, here’s the deal—I’m trying to put together a basic Excel Chart where the x-axis uses specific labels (1, 12, *1, *12, etc.—basically following that bottom table) and the y-axis shows the corresponding values.
The weird thing is, whenever I swap those specific labels out for simple placeholders like a, b, c, or d, the software produces a perfectly fine, clean chart. But the second I try to use the actual required labels? Everything falls apart and looks like a total mess.
Does anyone know how I can actually get this to work properly?

Look, I just need a basic Excel Chart. X-axis should have these labels (1, 12, *1, *12, etc.—just like the bottom table shows), and the Y-axis needs to show the actual values.
If I swap those labels for simple letters like a, b, c, d, the chart looks fine. But the second I try using the actual labels I need, the whole thing turns into a total mess.
Check this out, does this look right? Download file Excel Chart
Uncheck the box that says "Use our download manager and get recommended downloads" and the Download button will pop up.

Kyle Johnson2 said:So, take a look—does this look alright to you? If you're looking to grab that Excel Chart, just go ahead and download the file.
Just uncheck that little box sitting right in front of the "Use our download manager and get recommended downloads" prompt—once you clear that out of the way, the actual Download button should pop right up.
It’s just not adding up—there's a fundamental mismatch here. You've got eight distinct data points sitting in that table, yet the Excel Chart is only showing seven columns. It’s like trying to fit an eight-passenger SUV into a seven-seat minivan; the math simply doesn't track.
Well, I finally went back in and hit "Select Data," re-highlighted everything from scratch, and—lo and behold—it actually worked this time. Everything looks exactly how it should. Thanks for the help. 🙂

goldentrucker11 said:It’s totally messed up because the table has 8 data points, but this chart only shows 7 columns. I just went into Select Data, re-highlighted everything, and finally got it working right.
Honestly, I have no clue why that happened—maybe some glitch during the recording—but if you hit 'select data,' you'll see the range is actually A2:A9.
Here's a detailed Excel 2013 tutorial step-by-step for everyone else on the forums.

I’ve seriously never run into this before—I can't seem to unhide the first 600 rows for the life of me.
What's going on here? Any ideas, Kyle Johnson2?
The usual tricks just aren't working.
Anyone else dealt with this? I really need a fix ASAP. Thanks!

Can anyone give me a quick rundown on what I actually need to look out for when licensing Office 2010 for a small business? I'm trying to figure out price ranges, where the best place to buy is—maybe eBay?—and whether we need to keep specific documentation or stickers handy for an audit. What else should be on my radar?
I've tried digging through this thread, but I can't seem to find everything I'm looking for, and I'm in a bit of a rush since my boss is breathing down my neck about it. Thanks in advance.
You just have to figure out which features you actually need versus what you don't, otherwise you'll end up wasting money on a Professional package if half those tools are just going to sit there unused.
You can grab Microsoft Office 2013 over at microsoftstore.com for pretty decent prices.
As for what you need to show during an audit, why not just ask Microsoft customer service directly on their website?

Yes.

Give this a shot:
VBA Macro:
Sub HideUnhideRows()
Rows("1:600").EntireRow.Hidden = False
End Sub
Rows("1:600").EntireRow.Hidden = False
End Sub

I was wondering if anyone could give me a quick rundown on what I really need to look out for when it comes to licensing Office (2010) or just buying it for a small business. I'm curious about how the pricing usually works, where's the best place to pick it up—maybe eBay?—and whether we need to keep specific documentation or stickers handy in case of an audit, or just general things I should keep in mind...
I suspect there might be some answers already floating around in this thread, but I haven't been able to find everything I'm looking for, and my boss is kind of breathing down my neck to get this sorted quickly, so thanks in advance.
I guess the best way to go might be just grabbing Microsoft 365, especially if you're setting up more than one computer at the office, since one subscription can pretty much cover five different machines..

How can I possibly convince my Epson L550 to respect the page margins I have meticulously set for a Word 2003 document? I have specifically configured all margins to be exactly 1cm, yet the printer remains obstinate; while it dutifully handles the left and right margins at 1cm, it stubbornly insists on printing the top and bottom margins at 2.5cm. I am currently running Windows 7 in English, using Microsoft Office 2003 in American English, and the Epson interface itself is in English.
I have already attempted to access the print properties via Ctrl+P, but alas, I could find nothing that addresses this specific issue.

Man, if only you'd told me sooner! This works perfectly, obviously. Thanks!

Hey there. I'm looking to get my Microsoft Office 2007 activated—if anyone happens to know how to handle that or could lend a hand, please shoot me a private message... Thanks in advance!

Greetings—does anyone happen to know how one goes about changing the language settings in Microsoft Office 2007? Specifically, I am trying to switch everything over to American English—for instance, having "Insert" show up as "Insert" instead of some other term—but I have tried just about every setting available to me, and yet, nothing seems to take. It is quite frustrating, really.

Does anyone know how I can get my Microsoft Office 2007 activated? It’s still working for me a few more times before it cuts out... if anyone knows the trick, please shoot me a DM—thanks in advance!

Hey everyone! This might sound like a silly question, and I’m fully prepared for the inevitable eye-rolls in the comments, but I wasn't quite sure where to drop this one.
So, here's the deal: a friend and I have this idea to lock a Word document away so we can't actually get into it for a few months. Is there any way to set a "self-destruct" timer or an expiration date on a file? We want it to be totally inaccessible to both of us until the deadline hits, and then—boom—we can finally see what's inside. It’s kind of like putting a letter in a time capsule!
Thanks so much in advance!

The simplest way to handle this? Just use an encryption program. You could have a friend enter one half of the password, and you handle the other half. That’s really all there is to it. You'll only be able to unlock it if you both provide your respective parts. 😵 😵

Does anyone know how I can get Word 2007 activated? I can still manage to open it a few more times before it locks me out completely...

stormyviper3 said:So basically, me and a friend want to lock a Word doc and not be able to open it for a few months. Is there a way to do that? Like, neither of us can see what's inside until the timer runs out.
You can actually protect a Word document right within the app itself—no extra encryption software needed. And honestly, that idea from the guy above about splitting the password between you two? Pretty solid plan.

- Protecting documents in Word 2007
From what I can gather, they’re basically looking to lock a document down like a high-security bank vault set on a timer. You know the type—you lock it up and it stays shut tight until the clock runs out, whether you have the password or not!
