Hi everyone..

I was wondering if anyone could give me a hand with this

I'm looking at picking up either an ASRock N68C-GS FX or maybe an ASRock 960GC-GS FX motherboard, and I'm a bit stuck on whether they'll work with this power supply: MS Industrial Pro-550 ATX 2.03, 550 W

Also, does this unit have the right connectors for a SATA hard drive?

Thanks much

Most power supplies from the last few years come with SATA connectors, so you shouldn't have any issues there. But if I can give you one piece of advice—stay far away from that specific PSU. It’s honestly garbage; it doesn't even hit half of its rated 550W capacity... I'd definitely steer clear of it if I were you.

Please tell me you aren't trying to shove a Phenom II or an FX 6300 / FX 8320 into that board, because honestly, that thing is total junk. 😬

At least grab a Chicony Hipro 400W (~$67) instead; it's way better than that MS unit.

EDIT: In that case, I guess single or dual-core chips should be fine on that board without any issues.

The Athlon 64 is a processor
I'm specifically looking for an AM2+ socket motherboard that takes DDR2, which is why I settled on these two options I came across
In some local US shops.

I was wondering if this AMD Athlon AD785ZWCJ2BGH processor

would actually work with this motherboard here:
The ASRock 960GC-GS FX

Also, does this board happen to have any slots for DDR2 memory?

Thanks so much...

It’s possible; everything you need is listed right on the manufacturer's official site.

DDR2 will work too—this board is a hybrid designed for both DDR3 and DDR2. Just make sure you're plugging it into the correct slot.
