How to remove stickers?

I’m trying to peel these decals off my bike, but they just won't budge. I'm a little nervous about using anything too harsh, like acetone, because I really don't want to mess up the finish. The bike has this matte dark gray/black, textured look (it's a 2011 Sysco Terreno 400), and while the decal itself came off pretty easily, there's this weird, smooth film left behind underneath—probably just leftover adhesive—and rubbing it with alcohol isn't doing a thing.
Here are a few photos so you can see what the sticker looks like and what kind of residue is left. Maybe someone else has dealt with this before and knows the best way to strip it off? I'm really hoping I haven't messed anything up... I know some manufacturers paint right over the decals, but since these popped off so easily, I'm assuming that's not the case here.

That isn't a sticker. I guess you'd have to sand down that "bump" on the frame and then go with a matte clear coat.

So what else could it be if it isn't just a sticker residue? I mean, that stuff is definitely left over from underneath where the label used to be 😁

If it’s sticky, there's definitely leftover adhesive left on there (though honestly, it looks clean to me), or maybe they used some kind of glossy coating just to make sure the sticker actually sticks

There’s probably a layer of adhesive still stuck on there. You really should've used heat to peel it off—it would've come right up. Just grab a hair dryer and melt it away.

Ronald Diaz, regarding what we were talking about in that other thread, this isn't quite what I had in mind. I still have a layer of adhesive left on my end, but it looks totally different—I actually wiped it down with some 100% isopropyl alcohol. Honestly, it feels like they overcoated this thing...

Yeah, this definitely doesn't look like standard adhesive. I tried stripping the decals off the fork, and that stuff just dissolved after about thirty seconds of rubbing it with alcohol.
I’m going to try hitting it with a heat gun tomorrow, but honestly, I feel like I might have messed up that section already. Thank goodness it’s just down there and not spread over a huge area. I really don't get what kind of decals these even are. If they were supposed to be clear-coated, how did I peel them off so easily? One corner actually started lifting on its own, which is why I started picking at it. And what is this leftover residue even supposed to be? Some kind of lacquer base? I think I'll shoot an email over to Sysco to see what they have to say about it. :/

I feel like you hit the nail on the head—it’s just a smooth, lacquered surface. Since the frame itself is rough, they probably sanded this part down and coated it just so the sticker would actually stick. Personally? I don't think you'll get that off without a fight, though it doesn't look too bad right now...

Believe it or not, just try some regular cooking oil or maybe those oil-based baby wipes. Oil’s probably better if you use a rag, obviously. If you're dealing with an epoxy coating or some kind of varnish, then yeah, don't even bother... But hey, maybe someone out there needs the tip, so there. I didn't know this until recently, but it works great for those basic types of glue.

It just won't budge. It’s clearly not an adhesive, so definitely be careful when you start peeling any stickers off.
Right now, I'm hunting for a new sticker to cover up the mess. Honestly, thank god I started with the smallest one first 🤦

Well, at least you don't have that particular headache. You could just hop on eBay and order whatever custom decals you fancy. I remember once, while trying to mask up some scuffs on my scooter's plastic, I decided to just go with stickers. I sent a direct payment to a guy—I think it was via $6.75—and he mailed me eight custom decals I had picked out right in an envelope. If I can track down his contact info again, I will send it your way; he’s a decent fellow and, more importantly, incredibly fast with his shipping.

To elaborate, I managed to locate an email from the individual from whom I originally purchased those Monster decals, and he operates under the exact same model I previously described: he presents his inventory, you select the designs that catch your eye, you wire the funds to his account, and the transaction is complete—your items arrive at your doorstep within two or three days. I find him to be quite reasonable with his pricing, and I would certainly recommend him; he is incredibly easy to coordinate with and has always handled our dealings with total fairness and integrity.
As for this second individual, it is as if he has vanished off the face of the earth. I can find neither his classified ads nor any method of contacting him whatsoever.
