I really hope you don't mind me asking this question,

So, here’s the deal: I want to take this image and swap out all the data—basically changing the different teams and their stats.
I went ahead and cleared everything out without any trouble, so now I'm just staring at a totally blank spreadsheet.
Now, here is where I'm stuck. Normally, I’d probably jump into Photoshop to handle this, but honestly, it’s such a headache when you need to input a bunch of info quickly. It’s just not as easy to keep everything perfectly aligned and spaced out like it is in Excel.
My thought was that if I could just pull this image into an Excel sheet and then type my text directly over the top of it—sort of like what you see in picture number 2—it would be way faster and much more straightforward for me.
Does anyone know how I can actually get the text to sit right on top of the image? I could really use some help getting this set up!

Writing out the whole thing would be way too much work, and honestly, since this looks like some textbook assignment, there's probably a teacher or instructor who provided specific study guides or handouts to go along with it. Maybe this might help you out: http://accesstutor.tripod.com/4.htm

If your English is up to par, you could also try checking this out: http://www.online.tusc.k12.al.us/tut...s/accquery.htm

Hey there. So, I’ve been grinding away on a PowerPoint presentation, and I decided to get fancy by downloading some custom fonts from the web and installing them on my home PC. Now, here’s the thing—I have to present this at school, and I’m starting to sweat a little. Will those custom fonts just magically show up on the school computer, or am I going to have to lug them over there on a thumb drive and install them myself? I know, I know, it might sound like a rookie question, but I really don't want to walk into class only to have my entire layout fall apart because the formatting broke. This project is pretty huge for me, and I can't afford to have it look like a total mess. Thanks in advance! 🙂

I have about 100 people listed in two columns—Column A for names and Column B for birthdays in the 1/1/2000 format.
How can I sort this in Excel so they group by month instead of by year?

Give this a shot, maybe it'll actually work for you:

First, take column A—wherever you're typing those dates in the MM.DD.YYYY format—and just format the whole thing as Text first. Then, go to cell B1 and drop in this formula: =MID(A1;4;7). After that, just drag it down to cover every date you've got in column A.
Once that's done, we’re going to sort by column B. Just click on cell B1, head up to Data, then Sort. When that Sort Warning pops up, make sure you check the box that says Sort numbers and numbers..... and hit OK. Is that it? Hopefully. That should do the trick.

When you're dealing with sorting data, there's another way to handle it using the TEXT function. Just pop this formula into column C
=TEXT(B2,"m") (assuming you have headers) and drag it down. It'll pull just the month number out of the date. Then just sort by column C.

How can I get a specific Cell to display a date in the 5/15/2012 format?

To give you some context, I have a column where the data is pulled from a website—it’s basically just one long string of text per line, and the date is buried in there in that specific format.
I update my Excel file every day, and I was hoping to set up some Conditional formatting 2007 so that cells containing today's date automatically stand out...
The catch is that the date is currently sitting in that 5/15/2012 format (for instance, May 15th, 2012).

Look, if you want to actually get things done without losing your mind, you need to stop messing around with the basic presets. Just go straight to the source. You’re going to want to format that specific Cell using the Custom option—you know, go into Format, select Cell, and then hit Custom. Once you're there, just type exactly what you want the layout to look like directly into the formatting field. It's much more efficient than clicking through endless menus, believe me. I spent half my morning yesterday fighting with a spreadsheet because I was trying to be too "standard," and it was a total waste of time. Just do it the right way from the start.

So, I have one cell containing the formula =TODAY()
and then another cell where I have a text string that looks something like this: "5/10/2012 5:12:00 PM"

Now, how can I set this up so it actually recognizes today's date within that text string?

Seems like you're having a hard time just Googling it or actually clicking the tutorial links I already dropped above—not to mention the uploading examples you're doing :-(

Whatever, won't beat you up too much about it.

The issue is that the expression provided is in TXT format.

Code:
9/10/2012 5:12:00 PM

Let's say that text/date is sitting in A1
Use the MID function nested inside the DATE function. Pay close attention to the MID function arguments.

So, put this formula in B1:

Code:
=DATE(MID(A1;6;4);MID(A1;1;1);MID(A1;3;2))

Drag that formula down to the last row.
Next, select everything from B1:?? and use Conditional formatting 2007 or Conditional Formatting 2003 to apply this formula:
Code:
=B1=TODAY()

Hey there!
I grabbed some Word documents off my macOS machine, but now that I'm trying to open them in Word (2007) on Windows, everything looks like total gibberish... just a mess of weird symbols instead of actual text.
Is there some kind of converter out there or maybe a little trick to get this looking right, so everything actually appears the way God intended? 😁
(*.doc is the file extension).

Thanks a ton..☕

A buddy of mine handed me a disc for Office 2007, but he totally forgot to mention the software is set to Italian. There aren't any other language options available in the menu...
I did a bit of digging online and
I even tried installing these specific language packs:
1. officelp2007sp1-kb936982-fullfile-en-us
2. officelp2007sp3-kb2526086-fullfile-en-us
3. outlfltr2007-kb2687407-fullfile-x86-glb
...but no luck so far...
Is there some kind of add-on that lets me switch the language settings, or am I stuck having to download an entirely different version of Office in English from the web?
Best regards,

While you're grabbing a coffee, maybe shoot this over to someone running Word on macOS and have them screen-record it using the PC version of Word.

And while your coffee's getting cold, check these links out—might help you out. LINK1 and LINK2

Those links aren't doing much for me, unfortunately; looks like I'll just have to figure this whole thing out myself over another cup of coffee!☕

Is there actually an add-on out there that changes the UI, or am I stuck downloading a completely different version of Office in English from the web? Cheers

Look, you can download language interface packs here—those are what let you swap out the actual interface and the help files to American English. Just a heads-up though: there are also language packs for things like spellcheck and grammar, which aren't the same thing as the interface packs. Microsoft decided last summer to pull the language packs for the 2003 and 2007 versions from official sale, so they aren't exactly easy to get legally anymore. Now, for Office 2010, they have these unified language packs that basically combine both types of packs into one, unlike the older versions.

The stuff you were trying to download are just service packs and an Outlook junk filter—which, frankly, has absolutely nothing to do with what you're looking for. Service packs are just collections of patches and don't care what language you've got installed.
