🙂 That would just be working for his own benefit, wouldn't it? So, nope—nothing to see here, if you ask Suleiman the Magnificent.
And hey, 😘 good luck on your exam!

I wanted to share a little win—I finally managed to pull off a 5 on that graphic I needed the Word frame for today. Huge thanks to everyone who lent a hand, especially Taylor Parker5. Much appreciated, everyone! 😁

Hey everyone,

Sorry in advance if this has already been asked a million times, I just can't seem to track it down anywhere...

So, a friend of mine has this job assessment coming up that involves Excel, and I'm trying to help her out since she’s pretty much struggling to make sense of it all...

I'm looking for some practice exercises for Excel 2007 or 2010 as soon as possible.
Basically, I need something similar to those introductory Algebra courses where you get clear instructions on what to do along with pre-made spreadsheets to work through...

Just basic stuff moving into slightly more advanced territory...

I know I had something like this saved somewhere once, but it's gone missing...

Thanks in advance for any help or pointers...

Man, your suitcase is absolutely packed with stuff like that. It’s not just a few little snippets either; it’s basically the entire internet universe.
You really went overboard trying to help her out there, didn't you?
- Honestly, arguing about whether this thread should be open... it's pointless. You wouldn't even notice if it happened, since the "top topics" section is basically a dumpster fire anyway.
And those tutorials by Ivana_C? Please, they belong in the trash, which is exactly why they're buried in the junk folder.

Quick question about PowerPoint 2007.

So, here's the weird thing: when I'm working on slide 4 and decide to toss in a transition—let's say the "Grid" one—and then I trigger the slideshow starting right from that specific slide, the transition hits the whole screen. Like, the entire slide area, even all that empty white space, gets hit by the effect.
But get this—if I start the whole presentation from the very beginning at slide 1 and just click through until I hit slide 4, the transition behaves totally differently. Instead of covering the whole slide, it only applies itself to the actual elements sitting on the slide, leaving the background alone.

Can anyone make sense of why it’s acting so glitchy like this?

Thanks for the help!

Like an entry-level course at Coursera where you get instructions on what to do and there are ready-made files to follow along with...

Not exactly "follow-along" files like those Coursera courses, but tutorials and examples might do the trick. Honestly, whether it's Excel 2003, 2007, or 2010, it's basically the same thing—just different menu layouts. The core logic and how functions work hasn't changed.

- Excel 2003 for beginners
- All Excel 2003 functions with examples
- Commonly used Excel formula examples
- Various Excel examples
- Excel practice tasks for MOS certification
- Various Excel 2007 examples

If she tries to read all that, she'll be busy for a year. 😉

John C, I'm starting my Google Sheets training next week. Already feeling bad for you because I honestly have zero clue what I'm doing.

First off, change your mindset—try being a bit more optimistic and start reading up on Excel today. Everything you pick up now will eventually come in handy. ☕

Look, I know Ivana_C put out some tutorials, but those are specifically designed for deleting entire subfolders, which is why they belong in the trash bin.

fooreest!
What exactly is the problem with Ivana_C's tutorials? Honestly, they’re top-tier. If you think you can swing something better, then by all means, go ahead and show us how it's done. At the end of the day, superior work is the only critique that actually matters.

???, Easy for you to say. Just sit down, read, and learn. Check out the links for Microsoft Excel 2003 for beginners and Microsoft Excel 2007—there's plenty of examples there (doesn't matter if you're using Microsoft Excel 2010 or 2013), plus all the other beginner stuff on that site. Not to mention YouTube and the rest of the web. Don't just wait around for someone to fix your problems for you. When you're actually working on something and hit a wall, *that's* when you reach out. Post a specific example so we can see exactly where you're stuck; it makes it way easier to help you get past it. It wasn't rocket science for me to put these tutorials together, so don't tell me it's too hard to learn. From now on, I'm not replying to requests for help unless there's an actual file attached showing where the issue is. I'm done doing everyone's homework for them.
peace

Guys, these two posts are OFF topic.
Honestly, it's not worth the attention or wasting anyone's time. No need for stuff like this—just stick to what this forum is actually about.
cheers

Hey Taylor Parker5, my bad—didn't realize you were the one dropping tutorials. I'm definitely going to dive in. My Excel class starts this Monday, and I'll have all my textbooks then. Taking it easy today since I just knocked out two exams. They were pretty brutal, but I passed both, so I'm feeling good. I'll for sure check out those beginner guides you posted. Thanks!

Man, you seriously need to head back to school and brush up on some basic literary devices and figures of speech. It's honestly scary how narrow-minded you're being here. Moving on.

Whenever I forward a message from my inbox, it seems to disappear from my inbox entirely once it's sent.

Does anyone know how I can change this setting?

I could really use some help here!

Every time I try to uninstall my Office 2013 Pro Plus, I run into this error message—it just keeps blocking me from finishing the process. Does anyone happen to know what might be causing this headache?

Head over to your Administrative Tools, fire up Services, and check if the Windows font cache service is actually running—make sure it hasn't been disabled or anything. Also, why on earth are you trying to run the uninstallation from the disc instead of just using the Control Panel?
