For about fifteen days now, I’ve been taking two scoops of Optimum whey daily alongside a high protein intake from my regular meals. (Specifically things like tuna, chicken, and so on.)
Since I started this, I’ve found myself falling asleep consistently around 11 PM, and by morning, I’m waking up around 6 or 7 AM without even needing an alarm.
In the past, I would spend three or four nights in a row unable to sleep—it was impossible; just constant restlessness and nerves, and then when it came time to head to work in the morning, I’d be in a massive fog, and if I did manage to drift off, I wouldn't wake up until 4 PM.
I am not entirely certain what else is packed into that whey besides the protein itself; the label mentions various amino acids, but it seems quite obvious that my body was lacking something specific.
I have previously supplemented with Omega-3, iron, zinc, and various minerals, yet nothing yielded results nearly as rapidly as this has.
There must certainly be something unique within its composition.😁
Best regards,
I have almost completely phased out imported tuna and now eat it rather rarely (since domestic stuff costs an absolute fortune...) 😢... About three years ago, during a period where I followed a rather wild training regimen, tuna and low-fat cottage cheese formed the backbone of my post-workout nutrition; I was consuming them almost every single day... In the interim, I contracted a virus that really took a toll on me, prompting me to get some blood work done (I generally avoid doctors, but this time I felt I had to), and while all my results were perfectly fine, my AST liver enzymes were elevated, which led my doctor to ask if I was drinking heavily or perhaps going overboard on the weekends. I just stood there 😕 thinking, "Well, I might as well tell the truth," since I am a total teetotaler... I walked out feeling bewildered and honestly quite concerned... It wasn't until much later that the tuna crossed my mind, damn it. The country of origin was Thailand, and those waters are likely saturated with a cocktail of toxins from Chinese, Indian, Malaysian, and other industrial sectors that couldn't care less about environmental standards; plus, the fish itself is preserved with all sorts of additives just so it can sit in a tin for years on end... Even though I appreciate tuna and enjoy it, I consume it far less frequently now, preferring fresh fish caught from our own coastal waters...
