Hi everyone, I'm not entirely sure if I've landed on the right forum, but I'll give it a shot anyway.
I’ve run into a bit of a snag with a withdrawal from Bet365, and I was wondering if anyone here has dealt with this before and could point me in the right direction.
Here’s the situation: I made my initial deposit using a Visa debit card (from my local bank), but now they’re telling me the only way to get my money out is via a bank wire transfer—which carries a $6 fee!?!
I’m really not interested in handing over extra cash just to access my own funds. Does anyone know if there’s a way to withdraw to a different card? Or, looking ahead, which type of card should I be using for future deposits to ensure the withdrawal process is smoother and cheaper? If anyone has navigated this kind of thing, I’d truly appreciate the help.
Thanks!!

Greetings. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I am unable to withdraw my funds from DraftKings to PayPal. They claim they are currently performing a software upgrade specifically for PayPal withdrawals and suggest I use an alternative method instead. This has been dragging on for about a week now...

When I reached out to customer support to ask for a timeline, I received nothing but a vague response stating it would be resolved "as soon as possible."...

I’m running into the exact same issue over at DraftKings. The only difference is they haven't even bothered to reply to my email asking when I can actually expect my payout.

I see casualskipper65 already weighed in on this
but can we actually run into trouble with the IRS because of these new laws?
Since we aren't paying taxes ourselves, wouldn't a direct deposit into my checking account flag where the money came from? Can someone give me the full rundown on how this works?

I feel like we’ve gone over this at least twenty different times already.

So, look—technically, it’s against the law, but people just find ways around it by using services like PayPal to handle their deposits and withdrawals.
Not that I’ve ever actually heard of anyone getting busted, even when they were moving money through a foreign currency account instead of a standard checking one.

How exactly are you supposed to pay taxes on something that's illegal? You don't pay taxes; you just pay fines.

The Gambling Act

Section 68.
(1) It is prohibited:
2. participating in foreign gambling operations if the wagers are placed within the United States,

Section 73.
(3) A fine ranging from $10,000.00 to $16667 shall be imposed on any individual acting in violation of this prohibition regarding foreign gambling (Section 68.).

And here we are, circling back to this same old magical loop. Honestly, how is anyone supposed to actually prove they placed a specific bet while physically standing on US soil? It wouldn't even be a stretch for me to hop onto a Canadian network and claim I was betting from there, especially since the rules are so incredibly vague about whether an online transaction even counts as being within the borders of the US.

Well, that’s exactly the point. That's why I've mentioned a few times now that we're basically talking about a gray area—cases where people actually get penalized are incredibly rare, if they even happen at all.

Bryan Adams6 said:More issues with PayPal 🤔

After my account was breached, their first email instructed me to change my password—done.
The next one asked me to update my email address and delete the old ones—also done. Then they requested my ID and a utility bill to verify my identity and unlock the account (which they froze for outgoing transactions immediately after I logged back in). That was a week ago; I sent everything they asked for, yet there’s still total silence on their end.
For the first two requests, they responded within 24 hours.
Does anyone know how long this typically takes?

Someone on here—I believe it was Sytche—has mentioned several times how sluggish PayPal's customer service can be regarding email correspondence.
However, they did note that things move much faster via phone. So, just call them. Just pick up the phone. 😉

I have a question regarding Neteller. I’m wondering if an ATM will dispense cash in dollars or if there's a currency conversion issue—and more importantly, what happens when you have small amounts left over, like say $7? If there isn't a physical bank branch nearby where you can just walk in and have them clear out your entire balance, how does that work?

It really all depends on where you choose to withdraw your winnings! If you opt for a site based out there in Europe, they'll likely settle up in Euros, though you'll find they won't even bother processing such a tiny amount.
Here in the States, we deal in Dollars, naturally.

As for getting a hold of PayPal support, honestly, just pick up the phone and give them a call; why on earth would you sit around waiting for an email response that might never come?

I'm asking because I don't get how you withdraw the full balance if you have pennies left over—like when you want to close a Neteller account. It’s not like a standard US bank where they can just clear out every single cent down to the last penny.

Quick question about these prepaid card accounts... if I’m reading the fine print right, if you leave the balance sitting there for over a year without using it, they start hitting you with a $2 monthly inactivity fee? Is that actually how this works? And if it is, what happens if the account is already empty?

Withdrawals from BetMGM to PayPal still aren't working, so watch your step if you're planning on betting there.

I asked them today why they don't just update the website to state that PayPal withdrawals are temporarily unavailable. It’s misleading to users. Their response? They claimed there was no need to update anything because everything would be "fixed shortly."

I am genuinely curious how long their definition of "shortly" actually is...

In any case, I'm not sure I'll be returning once I get my funds out. They have a $50 minimum withdrawal, they're incredibly vague about payout details, and the odds aren't any better than anyone else's. The only real perk is their decent coverage of sports like soccer and hockey.

If you ask me, they’re easily among the best... I mean, what’s the big deal about a $50 minimum withdrawal? You can just top up whatever amount you're missing to hit that $50 mark and pull it out—I’ve done it myself, works like a charm. The absolute best part is they don't hit you with those annoying fees on deposits or withdrawals, unlike some other places that'll nickle-and-dime you... you know, like taking a dollar just for a currency conversion or something. I’ve moved thousands in and out through them and honestly, never had a single issue...

PayPal is a total mess if you ask me, and I know plenty of people who've lost money, so I'm staying far away from that. Stick with Bank of America and enjoy the peace of mind in the USA 🙂

They gave me this response: "Dear customer, payouts via PayPal are still unavailable. Unfortunately, we can't give you a specific timeline for when this option will be back, so please bear with us."

P.S. S. Futurebreeze, check your DMs.

Frank Morgan30 said:hey, let me ask you guys about these Paysafecard accounts... if I'm reading this right, if you have one but don't touch it for more than 12 months, they start shaving off 2 bucks every single month? did I get that straight, and if it's true, what happens if there's zero balance left on the account?

Look, man, you don't even need an actual account; you just grab a voucher and load it onto the sportsbook site. When it comes to actually getting your winnings out, honestly, using PayPal is lightyears better, or you could just do a direct bank transfer...

I think this link pretty much breaks down the whole deposit process, step by step, so you don't have to guess..

Bet365 is offering a bonus up to $100, so I have a few questions about how it works:

Bets placed on FanDuel, Over/Under and Moneyline markets, both pre-match and In-Play will not count towards the turnover requirement stated in condition 3.

Regarding this Over/Under thing—does that mean if I bet on the over or under for a soccer match, it won't count toward the wagering requirements?
Same goes for the baseball part. If I bet on the moneyline winner, does that also fail to count toward the rollover?

Thanks.
