Yeah, I’ve actually tried that once before—but honestly, you end up in the same spot, just with more headaches... It really just boils down to this: if you can't verify the ID of the person whose name is on the account, there's zero chance you'll be able to withdraw any funds.

Does anyone know if it’s actually possible to close a Bet365 account? I've been digging through their site, but I can't find anything anywhere... 😕

Honestly, the easiest way is just to reach out to Customer Service and get exactly what you need—I’m not entirely sure what your end goal is by closing the account, to be honest?

If you ever feel like you need to step back from betting entirely—maybe because things are getting a little too intense or you're worried about developing an addiction—you can always use the self-exclusion option. It’s a solid way to set some boundaries for yourself if you feel like you need to hit the pause button. 😁 )

I was wondering if anyone could suggest an online sportsbook (not already on my list) where I can comfortably place at least $100 on handball or volleyball without getting limited to $5 after just two wins? I'm really only looking for advice from people who actually use these sites themselves—I'd rather avoid all that second-hand hearsay.

Here is what I've already got:
188Bet, 10Bet, Bet365, Bet-at-home, Betfair, Betsafe, Betsson, Bwin, Coral, Expekt, Gamebookers, Ladbrokes, MyBet, Paddy Power, PinnacleSports, SBOBet, Sportingbet, Stan James, Unibet, Victor Chandler, Will Hill

If online books are already limiting you, why not just hit up a local spot? Is there really some league or market they aren't carrying?

The only domestic one I use is Supersport, but I guess I forgot to mention that I'm looking for a bookie where I can open an account in USD.

Good luck getting a real answer here for such a specific request. From what I can tell, most people on this forum just stick to the local US bookies and don't have much experience with the major international online sites (barring a few exceptions).

Honestly, you can do that with pretty much any international sportsbook. I signed up for Marathonbet about a month ago, and they let me just pick whatever currency I wanted during the setup.

Could someone please walk me through how things work over at Pinnacle? Their customer service is honestly such a massive letdown—it feels like a total failure. I'm trying to figure out how to actually place multiple bets or use their parlay option, but it’s like I need to pray to the heavens just to get a simple wager through. Is it really that difficult to combine two or three games into one slip? I know they are the gold standard for singles, but still...

I guess my question wasn't read all the way through. Obviously, like 95% of bookies let you open an account in dollars. What I was actually asking is if anyone could suggest a site where I can comfortably bet on handball and volleyball without getting hit with those ridiculous 5 Euro limits. The whole dollar thing was just my way of responding to Bryan Adams6, who suggested American sportsbooks.

Well, you can't just toss whatever you want into a parlay; you can only pick from what they've actually made available.

Once you log in, just head over to the parlays/accumulators section. From there, you pick the leagues and sports you want to include in your slip. Keep in mind—their parlay selection is much more limited than their straight bets, so you won't be able to mix and match every single league you want. Don't sweat it, though; the major ones are always available.

Sure, you can, but the real question is if it's actually worth it. It all depends on what currency is sitting in your account versus what you're using to withdraw from DraftKings or PayPal. Honestly, the best move is to keep everything in the same currency so you don't get eaten alive by conversion fees.

Kenneth Brooks2, you could go with DraftKings eventually—though, honestly, if you're looking at handball or volleyball, those limits will probably kill your luck pretty fast... Since I don't bet on those sports all that often, I'm not entirely sure about the specific odds setups there—but hey, if you have some exotic niche in mind and want a recommendation, just ask. I've dabbled in almost everything...
You might want to give Doxbet a shot too; I don't play there too much, but they're decent enough...
Or, the simplest move is just to open a new account with someone else like Bet365 or BetMGM... Actually, BetMGM tends to be way more lenient if you throw in a tiny, mindless 1.01 bet—that trick helps me out quite a bit sometimes.

You could try Doxxbet, I don't play there much, but they seem okay...
Or honestly, just open a new account with someone else like Bet365 or BetMGM... And with BetMGM, I think they let you bet more if you just add some silly 1.01 bet, that helps me out sometimes

I have to admit I've been thinking about Doxxbet, and regarding DraftKings, as much as I like Russians as a people, I just don't really trust them with my money transactions.

Surprisingly, I haven't been limited at BetMGM yet (probably because I haven't used them much due to those lousy odds, even though they were my first online bookie), but that's my only online account (not counting FanDuel) that uses Dollars, and the odds for certain sports aren't exactly great.

Do you have any experience with Betway, BetMGM, or maybe even FanDuel (that last one just popped up on my radar, but the odds look really good for some games)?

Hey there!

So, I’m trying my hand at signing up for an online sportsbook for the very first time. I headed over to BetMGM, and they asked for scanned documents. No biggie, right? I figured, "Hey, send them over and we're all set!" But then, out of nowhere, I get this message: "Please also send us photos of the requested documents taken with a digital camera..."

I'm a bit stumped here, honestly:

What on earth do they need photos from a digital camera for if they already have the scans?
It didn't say anything during registration (or maybe I just missed it?) about needing more than just a scan of my ID and one other document (which obviously has a photo on it anyway).

Is this a common thing with other online sportsbooks, or is BetMGM just being extra picky?

Thirdly, does this mean I actually have to grab a camera, snap pics of my docs, and send those over too? (That's my best guess, anyway)

🤷 😕

Thanks!🙂

I'm trying to sign up for an online sportsbook for the first time. I checked out BetMGM earlier. They asked for scanned documents, which was totally fine by me. I figured once I sent them over, the paperwork part would be done. But then, I get this message: "Error Message"Could you maybe send over some photos of those documents taken with a digital camera? I guess that would be great...

I guess there are just a few things I'm not quite following:

What are they even going to do with photos taken on a digital camera once they've already received the scanned documents? I guess it doesn't make much sense, maybe.
I guess I didn't see it during registration—or maybe I just missed it—but they're asking for more than just a scan of my credit card and an ID with a photo.

I wonder if other bookies look for this too, or if BetMGM is just being extra picky about it. Maybe it's just their thing, I guess.

Thirdly, does that mean I'll need to grab my camera, snap some photos of my docs, and then send those pictures over again? (I guess that's what it means, maybe.)

🤷 😕

Thanks! 🙂

That’s exactly what I’m thinking—I just took a photo with my phone using some pretty terrible resolution, and they accepted it without any issues. I ran into the same thing once at a sportsbook, though I can't quite remember which one, but it clearly isn't an isolated case since I got paid right after sending over the digital shots. I have to say, BetMGM never even asked me for docs, and that was where I actually pulled my biggest win.

You could look at Russ's DraftKings or DraftKings. It’s not like they’ll jump on you instantly, but they do need a little time to realize you're winning. As far as financial transactions and general trust goes, honestly, I trust them more than those UK books—Ladbrokes let me place exactly one (ONE!) bet before hitting me with limits, or even something like FanDuel. DraftKings was actually faster than Pinnacle when it came to withdrawals (well, until I got limited; the last withdrawal took a bit, but that was because the amount was much larger).

Betway is kind of useless for this—you might be better off trying BetMGM, though since Betsson bought them out, the limits are pretty similar (actually, DraftKings has slightly better ones depending on the league).

FanDuel is a joke.

As for the others, Leonbets operates more like a betting exchange—they basically bet on your behalf and take a cut. Their limits and offers fluctuate wildly, but they won't limit you just because you're a winner. Honestly, I think they couldn't care less either way...

The American DraftKings or 5FanDuel are also decent options. 😉

DraftKings won't limit you, and while FanDuel doesn't have limits, it's an exchange, so they take a commission on your profit. 12bet and 188Bet are similar to DraftKings in terms of being Asian-based, so you shouldn't run into limit issues there either.
