Lump on my back..?

A 45-year-old guy noticed a tiny lump under the skin near his shoulder blade about two and a half years ago. Since then, it’s grown—now it's sitting at about 3-4 cm... It doesn't hurt when touched, feels quite firm, and there aren't any other health issues to report...

Anyone have an idea what this might be? Maybe just a lipoma, or some kind of inflamed lymph node... though I guess it could be a tumor, even if I haven't heard of anyone getting one right on their back...

First you hit up your primary care doc via insurance, then you're looking at a plastic surgeon. They'll just cut it out and send it off for testing.
It could be anything from a basic lipoma to... well, who knows?
Only a doctor can actually tell you what you're dealing with.

My husband has been dealing with this for years now, and honestly, it’s visible to anyone just glancing his way... I’m fairly certain it’s some kind of rogue sebaceous gland or something similar.
