That's the thing. Tech companies have made a killing off "computer" speakers and headphones, even though they're basically just Hi-Fi gear. You can usually find much better quality stuff from actual audio brands, and honestly, it’s often way cheaper than the "computer" branded junk. 🤷

But the second you slap a "gaming" or "PC" label on something, it hits people right in the brain. 😬

It’s pure, unadulterated marketing. The second you slap a label on a device claiming it's specifically for one niche purpose, about 95% of people will flock to it like flies to garbage without even bothering to think for themselves.
But in that sense, they hit the mark perfectly. They are targeting a demographic that usually doesn't have their own money when they first start gaming, so parents end up footing the bill, which means the budget for speakers ends up being a mere fraction of what goes into the rest of the PC.
And don't even get me started on Hi-Fi, because clearly, nobody is crazy enough to drop $1667 plus an amplifier on a setup. You could pick up some studio monitors for $1,500, but they're massive—it feels like you're cramming two extra mini-towers onto your desk and they weigh three times as much. Plus, you can't just find a dedicated line designed to bridge them directly to a PC.
So, you're basically left with nothing but "gaming" audio.😁🙏

Honestly, that sticker is stuck on pretty well, and I just don't really have the energy to spend half an hour peeling it off only to end up scrubbing away all those sticky residue leftovers later on.😁

Wait, are we talking about speakers here? Because if so, you’re preaching to the choir!
I’m not really looking for that high-end audiophile experience most people chase—honestly, I don't care about fancy gold-plated cables or whatever. I just want to actually hear what's coming out of my laptop without getting a massive headache from constant background noise. Every cheap pair I've ever plugged in seems to have this annoying static hiss or hum, and it drives me absolutely nuts. Also, space is kind of tight at my desk, so I’d love something compact that won't turn my setup into a bird's nest of tangled wires.
It shouldn't be a huge deal, though. For what I need, I don't think I'll have to drop a small fortune or anything.
