goldenhound32 said:It’s the same old story—when it comes to movie violence, things sometimes feel totally unrealistic. I guess I just wonder if what happened was actually possible. Couldn't the guy have just loosened that strap a bit? Maybe slipped a finger in there? 🤷

Even if he managed to wedge a finger between the strap and his neck, it probably would've just made the choking worse...
That strap isn't going anywhere; you either leave it exactly how it is or tighten it even more, which just makes things more intense, right?

A rather tedious film, if I'm being honest.

Look, I wouldn't say the movie is boring, but let's be real—there are definitely better films out there tackling the exact same themes...

The director actually has a much stronger film with a super similar vibe... I'm talking about Training Day...

..The characters honestly have enough potential to fuel a massive Greek tragedy, but instead, we just get this lukewarm nothingness that falls way short of expectations. The pacing feels sluggish, almost half-assed, like everyone is just struggling to get through their lines....

..Plus, the whole thing is missing that one powerhouse, charismatic lead who could carry the entire movie on his back... Even though you've got Richard Gere, Ethan Hawke, and Don Cheadle—who are all incredible actors—they all just end up getting swallowed up by how gray and dull the film is...

Anyone got a solid torrent for this movie? I've been hunting everywhere but can't find anything that isn't absolute garbage quality.

👍👍Just finished watching... I think people need to really sit with the lesson and the themes by the end. You have to understand why those two died while the third (Richard Gere) made it out. It’s a great film—really solid. A must-watch. 👍 👍 👍 👍

It’s actually pretty solid. I love how the irony just drips through everything. The leads? They're alright. But the vibe... man, the corruption and the total decay... it's heavy.

I've always hated it when movies pull that cheap, cliché crap where you have clear-cut "good guys" and "bad guys." It's lazy.
I'm all about those stories where the line gets blurred and everyone's stuck in the gray area... 👍
