Is there a specific way within Excel to take data currently sitting in a column and flip it into a single row?
To be more precise, I am looking at a set of data arranged vertically in a column like this:
a
b
c
d

And what I am aiming to achieve is to have that exact same information laid out horizontally in one continuous row:
a b c d

😕

Maybe this formula will do the trick for you:
=OFFSET(COLONA;COLUMN()-COLUMN($E$1)+((ROW()-ROW($E$1))*(ROWS(COLONA)/1));0;1;1).

Look, here’s how it works—if you have, say, 10 numbers sitting in Column B, just select those numbers and give them a defined name called COLONA using the Name Manager (you find that under the Insert tab). Then, go to cell E1, drop this formula in, and drag it to the right so all 10 numbers have a place to land. That "/1" part at the end? That’s what forces everything into one single row. If you wanted to split them into two rows, you'd change it to "/2", and so on. It's a bit finicky, but it works if you follow the steps.

Actually, before you go down that rabbit hole, just try this instead: copy those numbers from your column, go to wherever you want the row to start, right-click, hit Specialty Pasta, then select Transpose and click OK.

When you go to Save as.., just look right under the box
where you type the file name, and you'll see the option for a Microsoft Word document 2003 or 2007.

Thanks!🙂

I was basically living in the '98 era, so all this feels like a totally different world to me, but honestly, saving things as a PDF is such a smart move anyway.😳 👍

Since you're asking for help anyway, you could've at least posted a table for DOWNLOAD instead of making someone else build it and explain it to you.

On Sheet2, cells A1, B1, and C1 have names (POD1, POD2, POD3). NAME that range "izborna_lista"
Below those headers, say you've got 10 rows of data (the stuff you want showing up on Sheet1 once you pick from the dropdown menu

On Sheet1, set up an A1 Validation list ("List"/"=izborna_lista") => ignore the quotes. Use a nested IF function

Populate cell A2 with this formula
Code:
=IF($A$1="POD1";Sheet2!A2;IF($A$1="POD2";Sheet2!B2;Sheet2!C2))

and drag it down for however many rows of data you have on Sheet2

When you pick something in A1, all the data from Sheet2 under that header will pop up below.
Hope that makes sense. If not, download this file where I laid out an example.

There are probably other ways to do it, but I can't be bothered to think about them right now. 😉
