If they had stuck to the original time, we would've been racing on a dry track, it wouldn't be pitch black right now, and we wouldn't have dealt with all those interruptions...

It was going to rain regardless—it was already coming down around 2 PM... The only difference might have been that the race could have actually finished since it wouldn't have gotten dark out...

and a healthy dose of luck certainly didn't hurt either.🙄

Honestly, I think Nick Heidfeld had significantly more luck than actual sense.

Well, having a bit of good fortune on your side isn't a bad thing either😁 because once that luck runs out, you're essentially stuck in the mud☕

How on earth is a complete non-entity like Hemi, driving what is clearly a subpar car compared to that otherwise mediocre outfit, actually pulling ahead of them??
I suppose it's just pure luck, or maybe that’s the only explanation left to us

PS, honestly, managing to hold his own against Mark Weber for even a few minutes with a machine like that is nothing short of a miracle

Maybe, but the fact remains he finished more races than anyone else. You can't claim he lacks ability. Managing a heavy car in the rain, dealing with KERS, handling tires... Sure, there was some luck involved, but holding second place takes experience. It wasn't all just good fortune.

Does anyone have an update on Robert Kubica?

ah, I suppose we could just say he's lucky, if that's the only way to explain it.

P.S. Honestly, managing to hold his own against Mark Weber for even a few minutes with a machine like that was quite something.

We have to be realistic here; you have to admit the car accounts for about 90% of a driver's success during a race.

That remaining 10% is what allows drivers like Fernando Alonso or Lewis Hamilton to pull off those moves where they manage to hold off the cars behind them for a handful of laps.🤷

and that remaining 10% is what allows guys like Fernando Alonso or Lewis Hamilton to pull away and keep whoever is chasing them at bay for a few laps🤷

I mean, I see where you're coming from, but I wouldn't call it a hard 90/10 split—unless we're talking about an absolutely dominant machine—it's more like a sliding scale where a smart tactical move at the right moment can make a huge difference even if you're driving a slower car, though obviously, it works both ways too...🤷

Honestly, looking at the absolute junk being driven by both Hamilton and Alonso lately, just seeing them scrape together any points at all feels like a win to me.🤣🤣

Arthur Doyle70 said:I essentially agree, though I wouldn't go as far as saying it's a 90/100 certainty (unless we're talking about an absolutely dominant car). In my view, there's always a significant variable where making the right call at the right moment can make a world of difference, even if you're driving a slower car—and vice versa, of course)....🤷

Just look at the caliber of teams Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso are currently stuck with, and the fact they manage to scrape together any points at all... honestly, at this stage, just seeing them finish is a win in my book.🤣🤣

Well, yeah, 😁

I follow Fernando Alonso so closely that if there's even a slight chance he might grab a single point, I find myself practically trembling with excitement.🤣

In my experience, there are plenty of moments where making the right call at just the right time can make all the difference, even if you're piloting a slower machine. Of course, the reverse holds true as well.🤷

Honestly, you have to watch out for the absolute amateurs driving both Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso; it’s a miracle they manage to secure even a mediocre finish at this point. At this stage, just seeing them cross the line feels like a win to me. 🤣🤣

It seems we have reached a point where we are simply settling for crumbs.🙂 That just doesn't seem right.☕

You know how they say modesty is a virtue?👍 Well, I think I’ve got a little bit of that myself...😁

I don't really participate on this forum, at least not when it comes to actually posting anything, though I do find myself reading through everything quite regularly
. I have to say, though, that when it comes to being objective and reliable, Morgan Murphy7 is easily the most trustworthy person here.

The guy has never once resorted to insults; he always sticks to using solid arguments to back up his points, which I suppose is a rare thing to see these days.

Personally, I’m actually feeling pretty optimistic this year, hoping that maybe Hemić can manage to scrape together even a single point. Even with the current state of things, he’s still managing to hold his own, and if you ask me, he's showing a real sense of what he's capable of—but then again, if someone else fails to see that, well, that's their loss, I guess.😛

If you ask me about Ferrari🤣 😂
The Brawn crew🙏-if that race hadn't been cut short, I'm telling you right now, they would've walked away with five wins or maybe one or two, easy

Look, I’m telling you right now, I truly believe Fernando Alonso can snag a podium in pretty much any race he enters, because I know damn well what he's capable of when he gets going.☕

I have to admit, when you really step back and look at the facts, he strikes me as the most objective and reliable person out of the entire group. Morgan Murphy7..

It’s a rare thing to encounter someone who has never once resorted to an insult. Usually, when people feel backed into a corner, they reach for a cheap jab just to win a point, but this individual stays remarkably composed. Instead of attacking the person, they always lean on solid arguments to defend their position. It’s much like watching a seasoned litigator in a high-stakes courtroom; they don't need to raise their voice or throw mud because they trust the strength of their evidence to do the heavy lifting. There is a certain quiet dignity in choosing logic over hostility.

I’ll admit, I’m personally feeling pretty optimistic this year. I’m really rooting for Hemić to snag even a single point. Honestly, looking at how he’s managing things right now—even with all the obstacles in his way—it feels like he’s finally starting to demonstrate what he's truly capable of. If people are still choosing to overlook that potential, well, that’s their loss, I suppose.😛

Where on earth did you find me to serve as your benchmark for objectivity? 🤣 😍 😁

what is this guy Jergovic even yapping about, claiming that you're supposed to pronounce Alonso as "Alonzo" or something? 🤷
