Barrichello Brawn was absolutely flying today, running about a second faster than everyone else all day long, and then Alonso goes and clocks the fastest lap right at the buzzer during the final minutes of testing...
Now he's definitely given the other teams some serious food for thought!

I’m dying to know who actually put in the work out there and what kind of madness we're looking at for tomorrow or the day after ☕

Code:
1.F. Fernando Alonso Renault Schumacher Ferrari F2004 1:18.343 99 pit
2.R. Barrichello Brawn GP BGP 001 1:18.398 +0.055 62 pit
3.Jenson Button Brawn Brawn GP BGP 001 1:18.892 +0.549 12 pit
4.Hamilton McLaren MP4-24 McLaren MP4-24 1:19.513 +1.170 83 pit
5.N. Rosberg Williams FW31 Williams FW31 1:19.783 +1.440 123 pit

there is only one, and he’s never doing this again...

el grande Fernando Alonso

all those myths about Brawn GP being some untouchable, invincible juggernaut? yeah, they just got busted...

I just can't get used to how hideous these cars look this year, they're an absolute eyesore🙄🤷😁

honestly, I’ve pretty much gotten over it already, because thinking back to those massive wings from previous seasons is just unthinkable now—you just gotta give them a little time to grow on you, you know?😁

the myths about the invincible Brawn GP have been shattered...

You're just repeating what was written almost identically in the post two spots above yours.
I'll risk a warning here, but... why do this? Are we really that mindless that we need to see today's practice results repeated in every other post?

Look, friends, unless they perform some kind of radical surgery on me and toss my dignity out the window, I don't see myself ever truly getting used to this.🙏

I’m half-tempted to risk a ban here, but seriously... what's the point? Are we all just losing our minds if we have to see the practice session results reposted every single time someone breathes?

Well, you know how this works... you aren't going to get a straight answer out of anyone on these boards, it's just the way it is. 🤣🤣 😉

There’s really nothing else you can do, just listen to the race broadcasts and turn the TV off. 🤷

I didn't expect this kind of brown-nosing from darkmarlin16 toward our beloved moderator. 😁

I just really need to know who’s driving what exactly, because honestly, if I don't get a clear picture of the lineup, I'm going to lose my mind—plus, what can we actually expect to see go down over the next couple of days? ☕

Code:
So, I just finished looking over the latest splits, and honestly, it’s kind of wild how much of a gap we're seeing right out of the gate. Fernando Alonso is absolutely flying in that Schumacher Ferrari F2004—I mean, seriously, the guy is driving like he’s possessed or something, clocking a 1:18.343 and leaving everyone else to fight for the scraps. Then you’ve got Rubens Barrichello Brawn trailing him by a hair, just a tiny little 0.055 behind, which is basically nothing when you consider how fast they're moving. Jenson Button Brawn is sitting in third, but he’s already half a second back, which feels like an eternity in this kind of racing. Hamilton McLaren MP4-24 is struggling a bit more than I expected, hanging onto fourth with a gap that's starting to look pretty uncomfortable, and poor Rosberg Williams FW31 is way down there in fifth, trailing by nearly a second and a half. It’s anyone's race at this point, but man, if Fernando keeps this pace up, the rest of these guys are basically just driving around for scenery while he pulls away. Everyone's heading to the Box soon too, so let's see if those pit stops actually save anyone's afternoon.

fadedpanther4 said:Man, you’re basically just parroting stuff that was written word-for-word in like, two posts ago. Seriously.
I’m pretty sure I’m gonna catch a ban for this, but seriously... what are we actually doing here? Are we all just complete idiots or something? Why on earth do we have to slog through the results from today's practice sessions in basically every single damn post?

So, did I actually get it right? Did I finally fix the damn thing?☕😉

The legend, Fernando Alonso.

The myth that Brawn GP was some kind of invincible juggernaut? Yeah, officially busted.

Oh, right. I totally forgot that Fernando Alonso was running on basically nothing—like, 0.03 liters of fuel left in the car. My bad.🤣 It’s a miracle they didn't have to tow him straight to the Box after a time like that.😁

Renault is looking painfully slow compared to Brawn GP. 😉 Probably both Ferrari and BMW, but we'll see about the rest.☕ BGP is consistently cranking out fast laps while Renault can barely manage one decent lap all day long.

darkmarlin16 - they wrote "Emergency" upside down on the hood, because when you're looking through the rearview mirror, it actually reads correctly.
The image is fine, it's just mirrored. I flipped it so the car matches the Red Bull setup—not facing right, but left—just to make the comparison easier.

The photo isn't actually flipped, it’s just mirrored so the car lines up perfectly with the Red Bull, making it face left instead of right just so it's easier to compare the two side-by-side.

Man, I had no clue, thanks for the heads-up.👍🙏

I’d just love to know who was running what setup—and what we should actually expect out of this over the next couple of days. ☕

It’s painfully obvious that Renault is lagging way behind Brawn GP 😉 and probably even trailing behind Ferrari and BMW, though we'll have to wait and see how the rest of the field shakes out.☕ BGP is putting up consistently blistering lap times, whereas Renault seems lucky if they manage to pull off a single decent lap in an entire day.

It’s easy to talk big when you're driving a rocket ship; I actually thought Renault had actually accomplished something here.🙏

Why hasn't anyone else even attempted something like this?

Why hasn't anyone else managed to pull off anything even remotely similar?

But look at the math—there was still 0.3 left in the fuel tank, so he didn't actually need to push it that hard; honestly, I don't think that single lap really changed the game for him at all.
