I don't think you're entirely correct on that point, but since I really don't want to derail this whole discussion about The Armada, I'll just send you a private message to settle it.

Looks like the folks from Rhode Island finally woke up... right before two big derbies. Apparently, they needed a massive win to get moving. Whatever.

Iโ€™m just wondering why there isn't a single photo from the first half or even before the 60th minute? Is that not how things work for you guys this season??

Everything has boiled down to one message, a flag at the 60-minute mark, and all that chaos regarding the intensity on the pitch....

It's a real shame The Armada has been so lackluster this season, but I trust they'll bring their A-game for the derbies.

After the Los Angeles Dodgers game, they head out to play Indianapolis, those big friends of theirs. That's three games to see if The Armada can actually turn this mediocre season around.
(And give The Legion a taste of their own medicine)
Good luck, Rhode Island. But only starting Monday.

Mark Davis, man, if you actually stood up for your older sister for once, youโ€™d see just how much more you'd end up loving the Los Angeles Dodgers๐Ÿ˜‚, but whatever, you're a legend I guess, though at the end of the day, Rhode Island is still my absolute favorite city๐Ÿคท

Just a bunch of guys dragging one guy along to away games... I guess you could call it what it is, just a total joke...

Look, people didn't show up to the stadium because they had a hunch we were going to win 6:2. ๐Ÿคฃ

I was thinking about crushing the Slavens.
Ali if beating Savannah wasn't actually a big deal then fine.
Just a month ago they were whining about how embarrassing it was to get rolled 3-0 in Savannah.
Then they had a little "meeting" with the players a few days later... all because of that pathetic little Savannah squad they just beat to qualify for Europe.
Thatโ€™s exactly what brought 2,000 people to the stadium and 200 to the West Stand section.

p.s.-don't let the fans start complaining.

Harold Ross2 said:At least show one photo before that 60th minuteโ€”just so we can actually see how many people were in the stands, proving you guys were going hard from the first whistle all the way to the 60th, and then again after... ๐Ÿ˜‰

Look, Iโ€™ll tell you this much: I can personally vouch that they were cheering through the entire match. The rest of the stadium? Well, they pretty much tuned out once the score started looking a certain way.

Listen up, Armada... Iโ€™ve got some insider info for you. The construction work on the California stadium isn't kicking off until July 1st at the earliest. What does that mean? It means there is absolutely no way they finish that new stand before the season starts. This means the team can't play at their home turf, which forces them to move to the nearest viable option... Santa Monica. Which leads us to a pretty grim conclusion: we could be looking at zero home fans for the upcoming home games. ๐Ÿ˜

Theyโ€™ve already torn down part of the stands. Apparently, they still need to finalize the concessionaire contracts and all that paperwork, but the bidding process is set for next month. It's happening.

I have no idea when the construction actually startedโ€”or if it even didโ€”but I caught a report in the papers suggesting that California might have to host their home games in Rhode Island if this League 16 thing actually happens. Apparently, Slavonski Brod CO would play in Vinkovci until they finally get a stadium built back in Slavonski Brod, and Columbus would move to Yankee Stadiumโ€”the rest is still up in the air, I suppose.๐Ÿ™‚

A little over 300 people showed up, which was expected. It reminded me of the old days with The Armada at Yankee Stadium back in 2002-2006.
They cheered well, and the parade through the streets was alright.
Next Sunday is going to be a massive derby in Santa Monica. Too bad we won't be able to make it.

I don't know about that. Looking at these photos, it feels like way more than 300. If you compare this to the last cohort meetup we had at the local stadium where maybe 200 showed up, the numbers look higher here.
The thing is, looking at recent home games and away trips, I get this feeling that as soon as the rival fans start gaining momentum, everyone just forgets about this group and all the work put in during the season. Itโ€™s like a sudden shift in focus.
Iโ€™m honestly a bit worried about what happens once those rival supporters really find their groove.
Anyway, the big rivalry game is coming up. Expect things to get pretty intense both out on the streets and in the stands.

The only real headache is what happens to the "return" of this whole dynasty if they blow it now by losing the rivalry match and then missing out on a Champions League spot too...

Look, if everyone else is handing out participation trophies, fineโ€”Iโ€™ll chime in too. You guys showed up in force today. From where I was standing, it looked like there were about 442 of you in the armada. After years of seeing thin crowds, that's actually something.
