Andrew White32 said:Let me jump into this mess. If you’re over 20, I can’t believe you’re typing this. Seattle was—and still is—a multicultural melting pot. There’s nothing controversial about it; given where Seattle is located, it just had to happen. As for "national structure," I have no clue what you're even aiming at. These adolescent takes are honestly getting boring. You clearly have no idea how many diverse groups live out in the Midwest, or specifically in places like Chicago, Phoenix, or even rural towns like Des Moines or Memphis. Seattle isn't some outlier here..
As for the hardcore fans, did your neighbor Steve tell you those stories or something?
And you claim they were actually "satisfying" too...
Here's some reading material so you can actually learn.. http://www.armada-seattle.com/history2.php (Pay attention to that last sentence regarding the '89/'90 season—see? That’s how things actually stood, not how your buddy Steve claims. There are plenty more legends and stories floating around that aren't as hyped as the stuff you hear about the old-school crews from the 80s, and you won't find them on Google or via Steve.) 😉
Hero87, now it's your turn. 😁
P.S. Some pretty wild stuff happening in your neck of the woods lately, though. Respect. 👍
Kid, since you're forcing me to snap back at you like this... look, I don't want to ruin your birthday. We can talk later. I'm easily twice your age, and yet you're asking me what I have to say? Do you even know anyone from that era, or are you just worked up over nothing?
...Have you even traveled to any major stadiums across the country? Or were you just playing in a sandbox with a plastic shovel? Believe me, I know more about that crew than you've ever heard. (Even that specific generation that showed up at Yankee Stadium to face off against C. Z. back in the day). But whatever.
Just know that back in the 80s, during the big games, different groups used to actually help each other out.
It just bugs me that you're getting all needlessly aggressive and childish over my post, especially when I was just trying to be decent and send congratulations.
(Look, I'm talking about the 80s... so drop the "educational" act and leave Steve out of it. I've lived through the same cities you're listing, and I've been in the thick of it too.)
Anyway, I won't spoil your party. Enjoy yourselves...
P.S.
If you keep acting condescendingly for no reason, you're going on ignore.
Later.
(Also, my bad if I phrased that poorly and it came off as a provocation. It wasn't meant to be. I was literally trying to give you guys credit before heading out.)
