Can you walk me through that a bit...?

I don't see the point either. What's the actual purpose of those neighborhood banners that pop up a few times a year at Malibu or during those zero-attendance away games? Especially when everyone just stands there in one big, messy crowd anyway...

What else is there to explain, seriously?

The banners don't even travel with you guys for away gamesβ€”not that they represent the actual people in San Francisco anyway, since they all just hang out in the same room. Then, for the big derby matches, you just stick them on the fences to make everything look a little more polished.πŸ™‚πŸ₯³

To me, that's just pathetic.🀷 I remember seeing that exact same thing happening with those fans in New Yorkβ€”it was practically being shoved in my faceβ€”but thankfully, I guess they aren't doing that anymore.

placidnomad33 said:We aren't interested in dealing with these guys. The main thing is you just ripped off our "MRZIN PANDURE" banner. You clearly have a massive inferiority complex regarding us. These wreath-laying photos even feature old-timers who were kicked out of the Black Knights back in the day and joined the Armada instead. Thank God we don't have people like that in our group. You keep targeting us, yet when you head down to the coast, your numbers are always pathetic. Hopefully, that changes, and maybe one day we'll actually hear your voices up in the North Stand...

One more thing to consider: the night before the birthday concert, someone burned the team's scarf. They even took pictures and posted them on their own page, but apparently, they don't suffer from any complexes, do they?πŸ˜‰

Anonymous said:Let's just look at the facts since everyone keeps bragging about the Armada. The Armada has had nothing but disasters all season long; their turnout is honestly a joke. They barely pull more than 200 people to home games and maybe 50 on the road, so when they actually show up and pack out Malibu for one game, everyone acts like it's a massive deal. Even ten angry posts won't save their season because they were absolutely pathetic this year.πŸ˜‚

Nobody’s been praising them all seasonβ€”people are just talking about how they showed up for that derby against the mules.

We might be a bit of a joke sometimes, but you guys are truly top-tierβ€”there's nobody else even close. The Black Knights are legendary, but honestly, nothing beats us.

Your banners don't even show up at away gamesβ€”not just that, but they aren't even made by people living in San Francisco, they're just sitting in some room somewhere. And then you guys slap them on the fence during derbies just to make everything look pretty.πŸ™‚πŸ₯³

That’s absolute bottom-of-the-barrel stuff🀷 when I saw that happening with those guys from New York. It was practically shoved in my face, though thank God it doesn't seem to be that way with them anymore.

Maybe it’d be easier if I just wrote out exactly where, who, why, and when every banner gets brought to a derby and taken home… If you actually bothered to notice, about 20 people stormed the pitch after the final whistle, which is probably why the whole cleanup process felt so much more intense and dragged on longer... As for the fences, almost every single banner hanging there represents at least 15 to 20 people from that specific neighborhood or city. People from all those different areas actually travel to away games, with the one exception being Armada Pula, who represent the Istrian crowd since they don't have any other banners... And honestly, there's already been plenty said about why neighborhood-specific banners don't make the trip to away matches.

It looks like the Armada only has one banner left that actually carries any weight.

There were plenty of flags seen at San Francisco games back in the day, but now that they’re just carrying a single rag, that's on them.

The crew, the local guys, and all that.

That’s just bottom-tier behavior to me.🀷
When I saw that happening with the New York crowd, it really rubbed me the wrong way, but luckily it doesn't seem to be that way with them anymore..

It's a good thing things have changed. That whole trend only lasted about a year when everyone was acting exactly the same!!
Small neighborhood banners were eventually replaced by those massive striker banners.
This started shifting early in the season back in Boston... and now it's mostly fixed, even if a few people still carry the old ones..

If anyone missed the point of the video at the end ->
The way Armada sets up those tiny little banners looks pretty ridiculous. It makes it seem like all those local neighborhood crews are just standard Derby fans!
But that's how it is. Not everyone can be on the same page. Maybe next season they'll go back to the good old days and bring the small banners to away games too.

We have complexes? Give me a break. You lot keep rambling on in our own thread about things that have absolutely nothing to do with the derby... you idiots. You’re all "Uber this" and "Uber that"... but let’s be real, you barely managed to pull together the strongest group on the West Coast this season. I'll give you credit for the numbers, but just admit it: we handled the derby better than you did. If the boys can do it, surely you can too. Just try, alright? And this nonsense about "neighborhood" banners has been dragged out a hundred times already. What did we ever do to you? It’s not our fault your local branches are scattered all over the map and you drag them along to every away game. It's madness, man. Just leave us alone and get ready for the playoffs... sending love from the Bay Area after ten straight wins in a row.

I mean, come on, how much is your commute even costing you? Knowing you lot, it’s probably not more than like $15 bucks, right? And honestly, what's the point of stressing over a mobile phone when you've got real expenses to deal with anyway?
