Hi there!

I'm looking for a rough estimate on the value of this setup:

EVGA 780i, Q9550, 4x2gb ddr2-800(OCZ gold), GTX 460 MSI hawk, Xilence eco 550w.

It isn't up for sale right now, but I'm curious about the price...

Thanks!

CPU and GPU combo—around $700
RAM—roughly $600 to $700
PSU—maybe $250

As for the motherboard... honestly, it’s hard to pin down—you'll probably only find a buyer if they're specifically hunting for an SLI setup. If that's the case, someone might cough up maybe $500$200 for it, but if they're just running a single card? Then that board isn't worth much of their time at all.

I guess I was a bit vague when I was talking about the processor and the graphics card—everyone’s got their own $233 opinion, I suppose. I definitely didn't think they were worth that much combined. 🙂

Alexander Moore67 said:Go with the second option—that Abit board is notoriously unreliable.

Hmm, I'm not quite sure why you'd say it's so unreliable—I've actually been running an ax78 for five years now, and honestly, it’s been a fantastic board for overclocking. It’s a phenomenal piece of hardware; it even features a nice little onboard display that boots up all the components before hitting the FF stage and starting the PC. If a component is acting up, it tells you exactly what the issue is so you can swap it out... plus, having that BIOS reset button right on the back is such a convenient touch.

It really is an excellent motherboard, though unfortunately, they don't make them anymore. 😢

Thanks

Is it just the tower, or should I include the monitor too? If we're talking just the tower, it's roughly 700-$267, but with the monitor, it'll be closer to $400.

What kind of cash could I realistically pull for a setup that's maybe 4 years old now:
Intel P4 dual Core 2,5
4 GB DDR2 800MHz
Sapphire Radeon HD4670 1 GB
80 GB WD HDD
Intel DP43TF mobo
Smartbox 400W PSU
and some relatively new case—bought it about 6 months ago, nothing's ever actually been inside it.

And just like the guy above you—you’ve actually got a bit of a beefier graphics card than he does, even if his processor is pulling more weight.

Honestly, if you can handle a massive headache from it, go right ahead and carry it. It’s all yours. Thanks!

Hey there,

I was wondering if anyone could give me a ballpark idea of what I could get for my current PC build:

-XFX ATI RADEON HD5830 1GB DDR5
-AMD Phenom ii x4 955 Black edition 3,2 GHz, 8.0 total Cache, Socket AM3
-Asrock 870 EXTREME3 AMD 870
-Corsair CX 600 power supply
-WD 1Tb SATA3 EALX, 32 MB Cache
-DDR3 4Gb( 2x2) Corsair 1333MHz
-Black DVDRW drive, which would be worth about $150 if it were new$67

This whole setup is exactly two and a half years old now, though the power supply is only six months old since I swapped it out for a new one recently.

I’d probably top out at around $2,800 for that whole setup$967. It's a bit of a bummer that the graphics card is such a weak point, though...

What's a fair asking price for this setup?
Looking for an estimate because a buddy wants to take the whole lot off my hands. I'm moving to a laptop soon, so there's no point in keeping this desktop lying around.

-Gigabyte ga-m68mt-s2
-2x 2gb ddr3 800
-2x 250gb HDD
-Antec 400w
-VTX3D Radeon hd7870
-AMD x2 560
-Thermaltake Big Typhoon
-Razer Licosa
-Razer Deathadder
-Razer Goliathus XXL
-LG Flatron l222ws
-Some kind of big tower case..

It is finally time to retire my old PC and start saving for a new build. I am trying to figure out what its resale value might be, but I am not quite sure how to price it properly. Perhaps someone here can help me 🙂

Here are the specs:
Motherboard: ASUS P5KPL-AM
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 9600 gt, GPU cooler: Accelero L
CPU: Intel Core 2 duo E7200 2.53, CPU cooler: Arctic-cooling Freezer 7 pro rev 2
RAM: 2 GB (brand unknown)
Power Supply: Zalman ZM500-GS (I am undecided on whether to include this, as I am still determining if 500W will suffice for my upcoming $650-$750 build)
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-2014S1T ATA Device
Case: A basic Micro Center case; I doubt it is worth more than $33 (name is forgotten)
I do not plan on selling the hard drive since I just purchased a new one recently.
Monitor: Samsung Syncmaster 2232 BW, 22"

Please feel free to suggest prices for individual components or for the entire setup as a bundle.
If anyone is interested, please reach out.😁

P.S. I am also wondering if these two coolers are compatible with newer or more powerful CPUs and GPUs. Since both are relatively recent, I am considering keeping them.
Additionally, is it feasible to sell a complete system if the hard drive and power supply are excluded?

Thank you in advance.🙂

Here’s the breakdown:
Motherboard: ASUS P5KPL-AM
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 9600 gt, GPU cooler: Arctic-cooling Accelero L plus
CPU: Intel Core 2 duo E7200 2.53 GHz, CPU cooler: Arctic-cooling Freezer 7 pro rev 2
RAM: 2 GB (not sure on the brand)
PSU: Zalman ZM500-GS (I'm undecided on whether to include the power supply since I don't know what my next build will look like—not sure if 500W will cut it for a build in the $6,500-$7,500 range)
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-2014S1T ATA Device
Case: Just a basic Micro-Star case; honestly, I doubt it's worth more than $33 (can't remember the model)
I'm keeping the hard drive because I just bought a new one recently.
Monitor: Samsung Syncmaster 2232 BW, 22"

Feel free to suggest prices for individual parts or for the whole lot together.
If anyone's interested, just shoot me a message. 😁

P.S. Also, I was wondering if these two coolers could handle any newer or beefier CPUs and GPUs? They both feel pretty recent, so I'm debating if I should just hang onto them.
And is it even possible to sell a PC as a bundle if it's missing the hard drive and maybe the PSU?

Thanks in advance. 🙂

Don't bother holding onto that power supply. It isn't high quality and probably isn't even hitting that 500W rating. Also, how much were you looking to get just for the monitor?
