Roughly speaking, here's the build:
Intel Core i7-12700K
4GB RAM
500GB HDD
AMD Radeon R7
ASUS Prime Motherboard
What kind of prices are we looking at for something like this these days?
thanks

Not sure if this belongs in the peripherals section or right here, but I was wondering... any idea how much I could probably grab for a Samsung Monitor?
#1049 ·
At least $100 it really depends on what the client needs.
Keep in mind that starting $233 we'll be getting new 22" 1080p Dell 22-inch Monitors in stock, all backed by a solid 2-3 year warranty.

Consider it done. $233 New 22-inch 1080p monitors are hitting the shelves soon—and they're coming with a solid 2 to 3-year warranty!
Yeah, that's pretty much what I was thinking too. Honestly, I'll probably just hand it off to my sister so she can hook it up to her laptop for home use. Thanks!

That’s the smartest move. Honestly, I don't think it's even worth selling if you can still find a practical use for it somewhere else.

Hey there,
I'm trying to figure out what I could get for this PC (bought back on Oct 22, 2009)
Specs:
Intel Core i5-3470 2.93 GHz, LGA 775, 1066 MHz, 3MB
Intel Dell OptiPlex motherboard
Supertalent DDR2 PC6400 800 MHz 2GB (x2)
General Electric hard drive 500 GB 16 MB 7200 RPM SATA-II
LG DVD+R/RW &DVD+R/RW & DVD-Ram, LG GH22, 20x
Club 3D Radeon HD4850 512MB GDDR3, 256BIT
CCT Power supply 500 W P4, 12 cm FAN
CCT middle tower LG-3310 black
Dell 22-inch Monitor LCD – 220 CW9FB Black, widescreen;
Also, any idea what the monitor would go for on its own?
Thanks!

I need an actual valuation for this entire setup.

Hardly $1000... I was just looking into it, and I think you could actually put together something significantly better for $1567 from scratch.

Can anyone give me an estimate on what this whole setup is worth?
N/A, but have you lost your mind? 😬 You could build something similar from scratch—brand new—for even less money. 🙂 We're talking maybe $300 total. You might be able to squeeze out a bit more for it, though I doubt it, and honestly, you might struggle to move it for even $300 over the next three months. Either way, $470 is a ridiculous price.
EDIT:

1 x ASUS Prime Motherboard, AMD A68H, 2 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM
1 x AMD Athlon II x4 840 Processor 3.10GHz
1 x DDR3 4GB (1x4GB) Kingston, 1600MHz, CL11, Value
1 x XFX R7-265A-CNF4, AMD Radeon R7 265 925M Boost 2GB DDR5
1 x TOSHIBA 500GB, 7200rpm, SATA 6 Gb/s, 32MB, DT01ACA050
1 x Spire Kepler Rev.2 cooler, 1156/775/FM1, 96.5×51×125 mm, 92mm
1 x EVGA 500W, HEXA Plus 400, 12cm fan
1 x Zalman T5 mini tower case. 170(W) x 427(H) x 348(D)mm.
1 x AOC i2276VW, 21.5" IPS 16:9, 1920x1080, 250 cd/m2, 50,000,000:1
$1368
Keep in mind this uses the FM2+ socket, which means the GPU is newer and the monitor is better. Also, the motherboard has fewer features and the CPU isn't overclockable. But all in all, that's the deal. For $410, you could get a new 😬 + $67 peripherals.

For that kind of cash, an AM3+ setup is a no-brainer:

Obviously, I just put together something roughly similar to his setup—same power level—just to see what a build like that would actually run me.

In that case, I won't even bother trying to sell it. 😁
About a year and a half ago, I dropped $4,000 just on the tower itself. I was under the impression that if I bundled it with the monitor, speakers, and mouse, I could probably squeeze out at least $4,700 from a buyer... but honestly, looking at the big picture, selling the whole setup just isn't worth the headache. 😁

A computer you've owned for a year and a half $1333—are you seriously thinking about selling it for $4700 just because of those peripherals? Look, if you had a Razer Ouroboros, a Black Widow keyboard, and a $667 monitor, maybe you could push the price toward $4700, but even then, MAYBE 😬 As for upgrades, adding another 4 GB of RAM is a definite move, but beyond that, you're pretty much stuck. You can't really swap in a better CPU or a GPU without it being a waste of money. You could overclock the processor as much as you want or toss in another 4 GB of RAM, but that’s basically the limit. Unless you're looking to change the whole platform and drop more than $500, of course 🙂
