?? That's basically the price of a brand new gtx 1030, which actually outperforms a gtx 750!!.

It appears the gtx 1030 phenomenon is going to seriously disrupt the used graphics card market.🙂

But honestly, you should be able to pick up $133!

The HD 7850 is going for about $400$150, and honestly, they perform a bit better than the GTX 750 Ti. But since it's Nvidia and half the people out there won't even know AMD exists, you could probably flip it for $167 maybe 😬

It looks like the GT 1030 is about to seriously shake up the used graphics card market...🙂

But yeah, you should be able to pull that off without any issues... $133!

What's the deal with the GT1030? It's almost... $200 Why isn't it any stronger than the 750 we're talking about?TiHonestly, it isn't even stronger than a GTX 750... it's actually a few FPS lower on average.

Maybe do a little Google search and check the actual retail prices before you start making noise about it...

Where can I find the cheapest 750 ti around? $167 [Clap]

Adam Moore3 said:Look, whether it's because the GT1030 is basically $200 or just because it can't compete with the card we're actually discussing, the 750Ti, it's clearly inferior. It's even a bit weaker than the GTX 750; you'll see a lower average FPS on it.

Do yourself a favor and actually look up current retail prices before making claims...

The most affordable 750Ti you'll find on Newegg is $167 👏

It's true, the gt750ti is noticeably faster. However, the gt1030 can be pushed quite a bit through overclocking. You can really crank those clocks up!

You aren't going to see any real benefits from overclocking a 1030, period.😉

The 750 Ti is definitely the more powerful card, but paying that much $167 is just plain crazy. The gtx 1030 performs similarly to the gtx 750 but costs only $193 and comes with a 3-year warranty. Plus, it draws less power—which isn't a huge deal—but since it uses a passive cooler, you don't even have to worry about a fan dying on you.

Alright, I'm gonna list it on eBay for $183, so we'll just have to see how the price holds up, I guess. Thanks so much for all the help!

That's way too much money. You'd have to find someone who knows absolutely nothing about hardware to fall for that. But hey, give 🙂
a shot if you want.

You get a 3-year warranty, and while power consumption isn't a huge deal, it does pull less juice. Plus, it uses a passive cooler, which means there's no fan to fail or break down eventually.

Mine is an Asus passive model, and inside my HP SFF case, it hits 80C quite easily. If a gaming session goes on long enough, it can even touch 85C, but the silence is lovely🙂, and during the winter, it doesn't climb past 75C in my room.

It honestly doesn't need any kind of extra cooling. If it can survive in an SFF chassis, it will certainly be fine in a standard tower.

The main advantage here is the silence.

I mean, I get that, but honestly? Other people on Craigslist are even greedier. I’ve got the starting price at $550, but we can definitely talk about it. Heck, I might even let it go for less if it goes to a good, decent family—someone who’s actually going to love it and take care of it the way I did 😍

Alright fine, I gave you a realistic estimate. If you can get it for what you're asking—hey, more power to you. 🙂

Hey everyone, I'm looking to upgrade to a new rig, so I figured it's time to let go of my old one. 😁

Fractal Core 2300 Case
ASRock hH97-PRO4 Motherboard
Fortron Hyper 700w PSU
Intel Core I5 4590, 3.3GHz
Sapphire R9 270 dual-X OC Boost, 2GB GDDR5
Kingston DDR3 HyperX Fury, 1866mHz, 8GB(2x4GB) white
Seagate Barracuda 1TB 64MB 7200 SATA 6Gb/s
OCZ SSD ARC 100 120GB
It's about 2 years and 7 months old. No warranty left.

Thanks!

Why wouldn't you just upgrade that one instead?

Think about it—you could grab a more powerful graphics card (that i5 can actually handle much beefier GPUs), or go for a full overhaul: swap in an i7, a better GPU, and 8GB of DDR3.

CLICK If you skip the motherboard and just aim for about $1,200 plus a GPU, you'll be in great shape. You can always grab whatever graphics card fits your budget later and still have a solid machine...

Are you kidding me right now? Seriously, what happened? Have you lost your mind?

You have a perfectly functional machine and you're already looking for a new one. Just drop in a GTX 1060 or a 1070 and you'll be fine; an RX 580 would work too. Everything else in there is solid.

Even the memory is sufficient. You could always add another 8GB later if things get heavy.

darkowl72 said:Damn... looks like it’s actually Socket 939 and DDR1 after all... honestly, nobody is going to touch that. It’s a dead platform. You can't even find a decent dual-core upgrade for it anymore. If you stripped out the monitor and the 640GB drive and just left a single stick of RAM, maybe someone might grab it for a few bucks just to use as a dedicated torrent machine...

As for the memory, you mentioned 3.5GB up top, which probably means you've got four 1GB sticks in there. But if it really is DDR1 like you said down below... well, those 1GB sticks might actually be worth something since they're pretty rare. I don't know the exact market value, but if that's the case, I'd suggest checking eBay for some recent sold listings to get an idea...

You’ve actually got me curious with that second part about the 1GB DDR1 sticks. If I remember correctly, I think I have one of those 1GB DDR1 modules sitting around somewhere. Does that stuff actually hold any value? And if it does, do you have any clue roughly how much? I feel like you might know more about this than I do.🙂

This thread is over seven years old now.😬

Back then, a single stick like that was a decent amount of memory, so it had some value. Nowadays? Maybe fifty cents.$33...

Upgrading from the original Windows 7 to Windows 10.

Roughly 1500—$667 It ought to be extracted.🙂It is quite an ingrate’s task to try and pin down an accurate valuation. Prices on Craigslist fluctuate wildly from one day to the next. Furthermore, you have people setting their own prices only to undercut themselves or devalue their own gear constantly. Best of luck dealing with the idiots who will inevitably harass you over it.

Picked this up for the kids today🙂. Honestly, it’s almost ridiculous how cheap I got a brand-new PC with a full 3-year warranty—plus, it's a major brand name. I think I'll grab a GT 1030 to toss in there too, just so they have something to play and finally leave my rig alone.
