slytrucker47 said:I mean, you usually get a scoop if you buy the bigger tubs, like those 5lb containers in the plastic bins! If you don't have a scoop, you could just grab two big servings of whey and maybe 2 or 3 glucose tablets in about half a liter of water... I guess you could throw even more in there, but just leave that thought alone for now😁.

Oh, give me a break... first he goes out of his way to explain it all so clearly, and then he just tells me to forget about it... 😕 😁

Drink your whey right after your workout—mix it with some glucose tablets 500 g, or whatever—but don't you dare touch it with milk. You need fast absorption, right? Stick to water...

Quick question...
Does it actually matter if my whey sits in a shaker for a little bit before I drink it?
Basically, I mix up a shake with some whey and honey, then head to the gym—it takes me about 20 minutes to get there, plus I’m usually hitting the weights for an hour and a half before I finally knock it back.
So we're talking roughly 2 hours from the time I prep it until it hits my stomach. Does that mess with the quality at all? I just leave it sitting on the windowsill; it's not boiling hot or freezing cold, just a normal temp, and it's not like it's baking in direct sunlight or anything.
Thanks

It won't make any difference at all.

I suppose this should be enough to get things moving for now... Tomorrow I’m heading out to pick up some whey—I'll probably grab either Inkospor, EAS, or maybe Pro.Nutrition—along with those Glucose tablets 500 g from CVS. My plan is to mix it all into about half a liter of water right after my workout! I'll let you guys know how the progress turns out once I see if it actually works ☕

Since I really don't want to be lugging heavy tubs around with me, I think I'll just toss two scoops of whey and a few of those glucose tablets into a little clear plastic baggie... honestly, it's going to look like I'm out here dealing drugs 😂

Wait, I think I might have missed something here... or maybe I'm just overthinking it? Anyway! I was just sitting here thinking about how much fun it is to dive into these discussions, even if things get a little chaotic sometimes! I guess I just wanted to jump in and say hi to everyone! It’s been such a wild ride lately, hasn't it? Maybe it's just me, but I feel like there's always something new to talk about! I really hope everyone is having an absolutely fantastic day! Just my two cents, I suppose! Haha! kaže:
Alright, I think this should be enough to get me started for now... Tomorrow, I’m heading out to grab some whey—I'm still debating between Inkospor, EAS, or maybe Pro.Nutrition—and I'll pick up those Glucose tablets 500 g at CVS too. My plan is to just mix it all together with about half a liter of water right after my workout! I'll definitely keep you guys posted on how things are progressing! ☕

Honestly, if you ask me, I’d definitely go with Inkospor. It's probably my top pick!

Since you mentioned you’d "keep me posted on how things are coming along," just don't forget to stick to that priority list, okay? I mean, supplements should definitely be sitting way down at number four!

So, to avoid lugging around all those bulky tubs, I think I’ll just toss two scoops of Whey Isolate and maybe two or three of those Glucose tablets 500 into one of those little clear plastic baggies... honestly, if anyone sees me, I'm probably gonna look like I'm out here dealing heroin or something! lol 😂

Honestly, you should just grab one of those high-quality screw-top shakers—you know, the sturdy ones that actually stay sealed—and then just whip up your shake right at home immediately. It makes such a difference!

Since you’re insisting on "letting me know how things progress," you really shouldn't forget about having a proper hierarchy of priorities here. Supplements, if you ask me, sit squarely at number four on that list.

Maybe just grab a higher-quality shaker—one with a screw-on lid—and just whip up your shake at home right away.

I'm actually not really familiar with all that... could you maybe drop a link? Where even is that? And what exactly makes up those first three spots on your list? 🤷

Honestly, I am not about to go through all that hassle with a shaker... who on earth has the time to be lugging that whole mess around campus all morning? 😵

Diet, training, recovery.

By the way, just a bit of friendly advice for everyone out there—Dymatize Elite Whey in the Piña Colada flavor is a massive no-go 😬 I really messed up on this one because I was in a desperate rush to grab some protein and the local Gold's Gym only had that specific flavor left on the shelf.

I'm heading out tomorrow to grab some chocolate-flavored Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey (5 LB)... just wondering where the best spot is to pick it up. Usually, I hit up GNC, but according to what the guy above mentioned, they're out of stock 🙂.
If anyone knows a specific address where I can find it—so I don't waste my whole day driving around the city—let me know. Thanks 🙂.
(I saw it listed on the Nutrix site, but I stopped by one of their retail locations to ask about this specific product and... let's just say the clerk looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language...) 🙂.

Let's see if the guy above responds 😁

That specific one was the 2lb tub—maybe they had larger sizes in the other flavors... It was out of stock just a few days ago, too, so hopefully they finally restocked. If not, there’s a shop near the start of the industrial district—I passed it later on my way back—it’s called Mr. Olympia, I think, and they actually had the Dymatize Elite Whey right there in the window. Also, that sports nutrition spot that used to be over on Warsaw moved over to Fifth Avenue—not sure the exact block, maybe somewhere near the suburbs—but I think it's also on the right side, so you might want to check them out. Honestly, you'll probably have better luck finding it than I did 😁

Shopping today was an absolute disaster... what a joke... I went to Target to grab some 500g packs of Glucose and that was totally fine... but this whole ordeal with the whey protein has driven me up the wall. I headed straight over to the health food shop right by the hospital, and immediately I see these massive tubs of whey sitting there. I figure, great, this is exactly what I need. So, I ask the guy about the brands—I'm looking for Inkospor, EAS, or Pro-Nutrition—but he just points me toward the Weider section and claims that's all they carry. So, I walk over to the Weider counter, and wouldn't you know it, that guy tells me they don't carry any of those three brands either! I finally lose my patience and ask him to just recommend *any* decent whey then... and he pulls out this absurdly huge bulk bag that’s over $167. I specifically told him I wanted something smaller, so then he starts pulling out these little pouches in vanilla and chocolate flavors and tells me it's just some kind of concentrate...

So, folks... since they don't have any of the ones I actually want, which other whey proteins are actually worth recommending???? And honestly, how big of a package is actually smart to buy?

If you’ve got the budget—and if you're truly, deeply committed to the bodybuilding grind—go for the massive tub. If you're someone who relies on protein shakes right after hitting the gym, honestly, that little 500g bag is probably enough, which usually runs you about $43. Now, in my book, brands like Optimum Nutrition or even Multipower are solid choices—Biotech isn't bad either, per se—but it really all boils down to your daily intake. If you're just having one shake a day, that 500g size might suffice; however, if you're like me and you're crushing two servings a day because your training schedule is relentless, you definitely want to grab the larger container. It’s just much more cost-effective in the long run.

Personally, I think brands like Optimum Nutrition or MusclePharm are pretty solid choices—Biotech isn't terrible either, I suppose—but it really just comes down to your daily intake. If you're only doing one scoop a day, then yeah, 500g is fine. But if you're pulling heavy sessions like I am and hitting two scoops a day, you should definitely grab the larger size because it’s way more cost-effective in the long run.

Oh, please... what bodybuilding? It's just for looking decent in a t-shirt...😁 So, basically, 500g... and the options are Optimum Nutrition, MusclePharm, or Biotech... does anyone else have any suggestions???

Inkospor Fifth Avenue 412
It’s super easy to find, and honestly, the station is practically right there next to the grocery store.
If you're taking the bus, it’s actually the very first stop right after you pass the police station.

Well, if that's the case, you should just Google "Inkospor Fifth Avenue," find their phone number, give them a ring, and ask them who handles distribution down in Miami.

Let’s get some thoughts on this

What do you guys think—is it worth it? Or maybe you have a better recommendation for what I should pick up for that kind of cash?

Look, you're paying for an isolate here, which explains the price tag; if you just want a standard whey, you can definitely pick something up for a lot less.

And even at the local grocery store, the price is higher... it's around $193. It isn't even anything special, and you can clearly see it only claims to have 20% isolate...
