It’s been slow recently, but things should pick up again soon.🙂

But if things are supposed to pick up "soon," why shouldn't we expect this kind of activity to be a constant throughout the entire year?

Does anyone happen to know where I might find some budget-friendly replacement rollers for a Drifter (code 0)?

Brenda Perez8 said:So why on earth does that need to be happening all year round?
I get that 🙂 Unfortunately, other commitments get in the way... but at least we're getting out on the water almost every weekend.

I was actually there at The Shining. Finally, some decent wind picked up and things got absolutely wild... my adrenaline was still redlining for hours after I finally stepped back onto solid ground...

Brenda Perez8 said:what a mess you made
Well, since I was just a guest on the boat and basically glued myself to the radar screen, they ended up calling me out for messing with the radar trimmer...

Good work...
Did you spend most of your time taking photos, or was it just exhausting trying to keep an eye on the radar so you didn't miss anything?

Brenda Perez8 said:Nice work... did you actually get some shots, or were you too busy wrestling with the radar equipment to bother?
I was doing it all—taking photos, filming, and fighting with the gear at the same time...

Maybe check with someone like Steve Miller or Dave Wilson.

Well, if you happen to have a photo of yourself handy, why don't you go ahead and send one over?

I wonder if they actually possess

Look, if they don't happen to have what we need on hand, I can always just put in an order for you.
As for photos, I’m honestly a bit of a novice when it comes to navigating this forum, and I haven't quite figured out how to upload images yet, but I've tossed some clips onto YouTube: just search for "San Francisco 2008 + The Shining Maxi Umago"... though, if you could point me in the right direction and show me how to send over a few pictures, I’d really appreciate the help...

Brenda Perez8 said:just like being out on the water near San Francisco
It was alive, but we were sailing outside the race course; we were really pushing that 505 sailboat, tearing up the waves between a small town in the US and San Francisco.

As far as photos go, I am quite inexperienced with this particular forum and haven't quite mastered the art of uploading images; however, I have posted some video clips on YouTube under "San Francisco 2008 + The Shining Maxi Umago"... if you could perhaps guide me on how to share a few pictures here, I would be most grateful.
To be honest, I am also completely lost when it comes to posting images on these boards—I've never really been much of a forum user. Why don't you just email them over tom--2@net.hr? They seem to operate out of a little shop, or perhaps they just sell things to whoever happens to wander in.

casualfox9 said:Borrow some sailing pants and a jacket... that’s the basics. After that, you'll need:
- deck shoes or sneakers
- boots
- sailing gloves
- sunglasses
- sunscreen
- a warm tracksuit, plenty of socks, and a few t-shirts
There you go...
Hey!
I'm heading out sailing soon too... anyone know a good shop in Chicago where I can pick up some sailing gear?
Best,

I am also heading out on the water very soon... could anyone point me toward a shop in the Chicago area where I might find some decent sailing apparel?
Best regards,
And what kind of boat will you be sailing?

Brenda Perez8 said:So where are you even going to sail?
Hard to say... probably some 33-footer...
