Ronald Johnson10 said:Yours is sweet... is that liquid cooling or did you just coil up the cables? That case is killer, too. So, does the cooler actually glow, or did you just shove a neon tube in there causing a reflection (like I did with my 😁)? Have you tried running it with just red light?
Anyway, 👍

It isn't liquid cooling (though it really should be). I’m using UV cables—if you noticed that pinkish glow—and two UV neon tubes; one is tucked under the HDD and the other sits between the drives and the power supply. The cooler glows because it has UV fan blades that light up (that same pinkish-red hue) under the UV diodes built into the unit, and the front fan (that TT one) cycles through colors and flashes.

Anyway, I spent today tidying up all those cables behind the motherboard.

I'll post some photos tomorrow night.

Come on, Mike, show us yours—and don't give us that rig with the massive speaker that doesn't even fit in a case. Show us the actual specs: Dell Inspiron, Intel Core 2 Duo E6700, Seagate ST3250620AS 250 GB, 2x1GB DDR2, GForce 8800GTS.

And no, that isn't a soprano. By the way, I'm heading out to pick up some neon strips tomorrow.😁

Mike told me the same thing, but honestly? I highly doubt he even owns the hardware he's claiming to have. For some reason, I feel like he's pulling our leg a little bit here. (No offense intended)

Raymond Hernandez14 said:It’s not really a buzzing sound to me... honestly, it doesn't bother me at all, especially since I actually swapped out my liquid cooling setup because of some minor error and ended up going back to this older configuration anyway!!!!

Look, if you seriously can't hear that hum... don't play around too much, just download EVGA Precision and set the fan speed down to 0, then you'll really notice the difference🙂

By the way, what kind of heatsink are we talking about here? I'm a little lost on the specs...

And please, toss a few more photos our way!👍

"Bryan Wood49 actually told me the exact same thing, though if I’m being totally honest, I have my doubts about whether he even owns the rig he's describing; I can't quite put my finger on it, but I feel like he might be pulling our leg just a little bit... (no offense intended!)"

Nah, all he really has is a nasty looking case 😁

If I were sitting there with those components, I wouldn't even bother talking—I’d just be busy taking photos of my PC!!! 🙂

Maybe his girlfriend made off with his wallet, so now he’s just stuck trying to "capture the moment" on his own... 🙂

I was thinking about installing a Corsair x Razer front-panel potentiometer, but I’m honestly not sure how many fans it can actually handle. Does anyone here know the limit?
Actually, just figured it out—it supports up to 4.

Look... just so we're clear, I am absolutely done with Joseph Carter9. He doesn't exist to me anymore—this whole situation honestly just pissed me off!
Now, as for the rest of you mere mortals:
No, I am seriously not lying to you... sorry guys, but photographing the inside of my case is a genuine nightmare. My PC is actually built directly into my desk setup, and once I pull it out, getting it back in there is a massive hassle—not to mention the headache of rerouting all those cables!
I promise you, once I find a spare moment, I'll pull the whole thing out and snap photos from every possible angle... including a shot of me standing next to it... just so you all know I'm telling the truth.

Everything is finally set up and running smoothly—I'm just waiting on those photos to actually upload. But, because I have the grace of a newborn deer, I slipped while tightening a screw and managed to scratch my GPU (which I’d already slapped a >Cooler Master< cooler on because the stock one was driving me absolutely insane). Now, there are these weird lines near my mouse cursor and little blue dots are starting to pop up all over the screen. 😁 😁 😁

Honestly, I'm not even losing sleep over it since it's an old card (a 9600 pro) and it’s probably high time for an upgrade anyway.

Adobe: Actually, on second thought, I might not even bother replacing it. It works fine for what I need right now, and since I cranked up the brightness on everything, I can barely notice the glitches.

Joshua Davis18 said:I am not particularly bothered by its retirement; the old 9600 Pro has served its purpose, and frankly, it is high time for an upgrade.

One must consider that this card still holds significant merit when overclocked, performing on par with the 9600 XT. I actually kept mine from my previous build—in fact, I still have it running today. I can play Need for Speed Most Wanted at maximum settings; while the frame rate hovers somewhere between 25 and 32 FPS, the experience remains perfectly smooth without any noticeable stuttering.😁

I just realized it can support four.

If you're planning to run four fans up there... here is the link for you.

However, if I were in your shoes, I would probably opt for this specific potentiometer instead; it's more budget-friendly and, in my estimation, superior in quality—take a look!

Ultimately, everything hinges on how well it integrates with your specific PC case layout.😁

Raymond Hernandez14, I see where you're coming from and I appreciate the input, but Milton just isn't doing it for me. Being from Memphis, I've got my local options, and honestly, the only place that really catches my eye is The Spot. I actually found this one that looks pretty solid: the Cooler Master ZM-MFC1, 5.25". (Actually, looking at the specs, it's not that far off, but still... hey, if you're feeling generous, grab it for me and ship it over! => shoot me a PM if we can work something out)

I might even end up just heading out to pick up that exact one you mentioned... I'll let you know.

Look, if you really want to make this happen, I don't see why not. Driving out to Memphis to pick up that gear from Milton shouldn't be an issue at all; just give me a heads-up and we can coordinate the details.

I am planning on picking up that Cooler Master unit next week. If you aren't in a massive rush, you might want to wait until I can report back on whether it actually lives up to the hype or if it's just another disappointment.

In the meantime, here is a link so you can get a closer look at the specs:

I tracked down a small shop in Memphis that places orders through Milton. I actually hopped on the phone with them, and they’re saying it should be available there after Thursday. 😢 Look, see if you can get a hold of it sooner than that so we can finalize things—let me know sometime today (I sent you a PM regarding this)

What on earth are you even talking about?😁

Look, maybe it sounds silly to you,😕 😕

but hey, everyone’s got their own thing going on. For all I know, that processor you're running (the Ryzen 5 7600, if I remember right?) might seem like total junk to me! Who knows, right?😛

Hehe, I suppose I’m the only one who went overboard here; I didn't just settle for an x2 setup, I went straight for a quad core... but we can dive into those technicalities another time. Just a moment ago, the idea of using a power drill and a skeletal skull crossed my mind, which inspired this little project... though it is far from finished:

Mladen, have you had a chance to try out SuperPI yet, and if so, what kind of temps are we looking at? I’d love to hear your honest take on how it handles a quad-core setup... I’m seriously considering giving it a shot myself!
