@ Joshua Davis18 That color looks incredible. It’s hard to tell if you used some custom mix or just went with a standard off-the-shelf option... how many coats did it take to get that finish? And you have to drop the brand name, because honestly, it looks amazing.

Respect.

Small Town, USA

It looks to me like those fans—the blue ones at the bottom—aren't actually doing much of anything, if they're doing anything at all, since from what I can see, you don't even have intake vents or openings at the bottom of the case.
You'd be better off putting one of those 10cm LED strips up top between the PSU and the ROMs, because that's where the shadows are hitting. 😬

Nice case. By the way, Big Smoke, is that a Rolex on your wrist? 😲 😎

Hey there, hey there..

I just went with the most basic clear coat I could find for the finish 😳

I did a single pass on some parts and doubled up on others, and for those black sections, I just used some standard masking tape to keep them protected.

But honestly, the Rolex is 🙏

Here’s what I used for the color:
RenCo Spray Paint
Automotive Grade
Acrylic (😕) quick-dry

$9.25 400 ml spray can
Ended up needing 3 cans in total.

I just used some basic stuff for the finish 😳

I sprayed some parts once and others twice, and I covered the black sections with some cheap masking tape.

But yeah, buying a Rolex while 🙏

The paint was:

You buy a Rolex but you can't afford decent paint for $67 in a 500ml can.. I guess you're kind of a

Man, that's clearly red... good thing you didn't tell me it was pink

All things considered... no.
I'm just not feeling it.
That X didn't turn out quite right—the paint bled a bit under the masking tape, so it looks a little messy.
And honestly, the color isn't great either... maybe once you clear coat it or something, it'll look better!
Overall, though, I don't think this was a success.
Sorry man—I hope you take this as nothing more than some honest, well-meaning feedback...
The stock version (completely untouched) was actually really cool—and I think it would have looked even better with a few subtle details, like some LEDs or something... but this kind of drastic overhaul just isn't my style. So, sorry about the PC—I hope you aren't offended.
At least I'm being straight with you......😁

Heh, look at his shirt though. To me, that looks orange. And that X? Good thing Mike mentioned it might just be some colorless lacquer or something...🙄>

I'm not really feeling it.
That X didn't turn out great because the paint bled under the masking tape, so now it looks a bit wonky...
Plus, the color itself isn't quite there—maybe once you clear coat it or something, it'll look better!
Honestly though, I don't think this was a win.
Sorry man, I hope you take this as nothing more than some honest feedback...
The Small Town, USA vibe (the stock version without any mods) is actually pretty cool to me... and honestly, I'd probably dig it even more if you added some tiny details, like maybe some LEDs or something... but this massive overhaul just isn't my style! So, sorry about the PC... I hope you aren't offended.
At least I'm being real with you.....😁

I wasn't exactly thrilled with how the X turned out either.

Look, just take it back and fix it properly. Don't let that single faulty component drag down the quality rating of an otherwise perfectly built machine...
Because at the end of the day, we are talking about one defective part, not the entire chassis... wouldn't you agree?

It’s just one damn side panel, not the whole PC case... right!!

Yeah, exactly. Besides, if it stays this hideous, I can always just head over to Best Buy $10 (or whatever it costs) and pick up a standard black side panel for the case.

It might be better if you placed one of those 10cm LED strips up top between the power supply and the drives, because it’s getting pretty dark in that spot. 😬

The Jet has a 5mm clearance from the floor and you can definitely feel the airflow. Plus, there's zero vibration because they're mounted on rubber pads.

Sure, you could, but there are better coolers out there for the same price. Only worth it if you're obsessed with how it looks...

Listen, that’s a high-end cooler, and you should grab it without a second thought. I've had plenty of hands-on experience installing and running this exact unit inside my own rigs, so believe me when I say there's zero risk involved. Besides, it's a Thermaltake, which carries its own weight. My advice? Don't overthink it—just buy it.
And northerncrane33, go ahead and name just one "BETTER" alternative available at that same price point!!!

I’ve actually had the chance to mess around with it while it was installed in a rig, and honestly, you’ve got nothing to worry about... plus, it's a Thermaltake, so I'm telling you, don't even hesitate, just go for it...
And hey, northerncrane33, why don't you name just one "BETTER" option for the exact same price!!!

(just copy and paste this into your browser)

So, is that really the heatsink in question? It doesn't even have a heat pipe? For real?! Come on, Raymond Hernandez14, a Zalman would perform way better than that... I really hope you aren't basing your hardware choices on some buggy site or random tech blog reviews...🙂

If you ask me—and based on all the benchmarks I've been reading lately—that thing is just a total piece of junk...😈

The only reason anyone buys these is because kids get distracted by how flashy it looks and those digital temperature readouts...
